===User:JarlaxleArtemis===
For the last four days, the banned user {{vandal|JarlaxleArtemis}} (see ]) has been creating throwaway accounts to perform mass additions of templates to the same set of articles (see ]). Can someone check the IPs for these accounts to determine whether an IP block is feasible? (He's been known to use open proxies, though we might be lucky this time.) The accounts so far are as follows:
*{{checkuser|Grarg}}
*{{checkuser|Grackelstein}}
*{{checkuser|SourcerRef}}
*{{checkuser|CiteSources}}

    When submitting a request

    • If submitting a new case subpage, use the inputbox below; if adding to an existing case subpage, see WP:RFCU/P#Repeat requests.
    • Choose the code letter that best fits your request. Provide evidence such as diff links as required or requested. Note that some code letters inherently require specific evidence.
    • When listing suspected accounts or IP addresses, use the {{checkuser}} or {{checkip}} templates. Please do not use this template in a section header.
    • You may add your request to the top of the #Outstanding requests section, by adding {{Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Case/CASENAMEHERE}}. If you do not, clerks should check for pages in Category:Checkuser requests to be listed and will do this for you.
    • Sign your request.

    This page is currently inactive and is retained for historical reference.
    Either the page is no longer relevant or consensus on its purpose has become unclear. To revive discussion, seek broader input via a forum such as the village pump.
    Cases are created on subpages of Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Case.
    If you require help or advice, ask at Misplaced Pages talk:Requests for checkuser.

    If a case subpage already exists, edit the existing page instead, either adding to the currently open section (if the case is not yet archived) or adding a new section to the top (if the case has been archived). When editing an existing case, be sure to list it here or add Category:Checkuser requests to be listed to the subpage.

    If creating a new case subpage, add the name of the main account (or "puppetmaster", not the sockpuppet!) in the box below. Leave out the "User:" prefix. Do not remove the text in the box, add the name to the end only (that is, append the name to the existing text). Then press "Request a checkuser" and you will be taken to a page where you can fill out the request.

    Example: if you want to request a checkuser on User:John Doe, enter the text:
    Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Case/John Doe

    <inputbox> type=create editintro=Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Inputbox/Header preload=Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Inputbox/Sample default=Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Case/ buttonlabel=Request a checkuser bgcolor=#F8FCFF width=50 </inputbox>

    Completed requests

    Please investigate user:SlightTorrent whose name and first and only edit--to the refdesk, asking about fecal matter show mere coincidence is not likely. μηδείς (talk) 03:26, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

    First of them is certainly Jacob Peters. He started making the same changes in the same article, Holodomor denial as one of Jacob Peters puppets, Drabj:

    • edit by Drabj and
    • edit by Kwinkt - Please note insertion of similar quotes like "There is no actual starvation or deaths from starvation" in second edit.

    Kaserne and Nejedly started editing simultaneously with Kwinkt. Kaserne inserted poorly sourced accusations in a BLP article of historian Robert Conquest who wrote a book about Holodomor (the subject attacked by Kwinkt-Drabj). Nejedly made massive deletions of text in article Soviet war crimes. YBM29 exists longer, also an obvious Soviet-style propaganda SPA who does nothing but reverts.Biophys (talk) 02:13, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

    Requests for IP check

    • Vandal and attack accounts may be listed here for the purpose identifying and blocking the underlying IP address or open proxy. Requests to confirm sockpuppets of known users should be listed in the sockpuppet section above.
    • If you already know the IP address of the suspected open proxy, list it at Misplaced Pages:Open Proxies instead.
    • Use === Subsections ===, do not create subpages.
    • List user names using the {{checkuser|username}} template. Add new reports to the top of the section.
    • Requests may be acted on or declined according to the discretion of the checkuser admins. Responses will be noted here.
    • Answered requests will be moved to Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/IP check for 7 days, after which they will be deleted. No separate archive (other than the page history) will be maintained.

    For the last four days, the banned user JarlaxleArtemis (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) (see WP:JARLAXLE) has been creating throwaway accounts to perform mass additions of templates to the same set of articles (see Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#JarlaxleArtemis sock to block). Can someone check the IPs for these accounts to determine whether an IP block is feasible? (He's been known to use open proxies, though we might be lucky this time.) The accounts so far are as follows:

     Additional information needed Don't assume that all checkusers are familiar with your history. Who is this editor supposed to be related to? --jpgordon 18:11, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

    59.92.51.210 and multiple vandal accounts

    • Code Letter: A

    Here are several anonoymous users of IP Addresses removing templates from several related sites at the same time. Respectfully request to have a check on these accounts and block. Regards. Wiki Raja 19:29, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

     Clerk note: You already know the IP addresses. What do you want checked? Please read the instructions at the top of the page. If you would like them blocked, post to WP:AIV or WP:ANI. If you would like them checked to see if they are open proxies, post to WP:OPP. Checkuser can investigate the IP addresses used by registered editors; here, you already know the IP addresses. Thatcher131 19:41, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
    With the exception of the 3rd from the last, they're all open proxies/compromized machines. Report them at WP:OP. 68.39.174.238 01:00, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

    Johnny the Vandal is back (yet again)

    • Code Letter: A

    This user is a long-term vandal (see the deleted history of Misplaced Pages:Long term abuse/Johnny the Vandal). It never ceases to amaze me that this guy's obscession with impersonating RickK (talk · contribs) and/or Hephaestos (talk · contribs) (see the username pattern he uses, as well as his unblock trolling), inserting incorrect info (such as Crass) and making profane personal attacks (such as User talk:Arwel Parry) comes up every so often, and the above accounts are part of his latest sock parade. I've asked for CU on him several times before (see this, this, this, and this), so it's time for me to repeat this request once more. Scobell302 02:47, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

    Original Research by User Paintrials ??

    New User Paintrials (talk · contribs) has just added external links to 3 articles. These links point to a Research dept of a hospitals, where they do... Pain Trials. Although there is some good info on the Hospital site in question, it's not unique, but does look like Original Research or Self Promotion. Perhaps a check of the IP against whois could sort it out. Johnpf 21:00, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

    I think this qualifies as fishing. Could you specify what you want a checkuser to check for, utilizing one of the code letters up top? Oh, and I don't think "original research" is the word you're looking for. Self promotion, however, sounds apt. Picaroon 03:18, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
