:Tak for invitationen. Det lader til, at meningen er, at da.wikipedia skal blive bedre funderet? Jeg må tilstå, at jeg kun har personligt overskud til at arbejde på en.wikipedia. Hi! I added the unborn child of Joachim and Marie because I presume it takes place in the line of succession. For example, should the first six persons in the line die suddenly, the crown wouldn't pass to Benedikte. Instead, the unborn child would become monarch at the moment of birth. That situation arose in Spain, when the king died leaving three daughters and a pregnant wife. Unfortunatly for the eldest daughter, her mother gave birth to a son. Marie's baby baby will take place after his/her older brothers, regardless of the sex. I do not insist on including it though, I just thought it would be interesting to add the information. Perhaps we can just say that the baby will be 7th in the line of succession regardless of gender. What do you think? ] (]) 17:30, 1 February 2009 (UTC) | Hi! :AFAIK, there is no official standpoint on this. However, all lines of succession I've seen printed in the Danish media do not include the unborn child, so I think we shouldn't include it either - doing so would probably be ]. How about a note to the line of succession stating that, "the unborn child of XXX will be placed after YYY and before ZZZ"? Hello, I stumbled upon this article today and noticed that it may not meet English Misplaced Pages notability requirements, therefore I may nominate it for deletion. Also, I noticed that when you created the page in 2007 an unreferenced tag was included. This is dismaying as it puts the responsibility of providing sources for a BLP on other editors. :Well, I think the wrong of having a redlink for a pronunciation file is greater than the wrong of having a filename with a misspelled name point to the right place. Excuse me sir, but that Anders is not in any of the film is a complete lie. The two documentary movies are particularly interesting because they reveal Anders and his government as war criminals not following the Geneva conventions, this might be interesting for the general public to know since he is now chairman for NATO. The journalist of "Den hemmelige krig" was prosecuted for misinformation and Anders government answered with a 300 page long report. The journalist was later found not guilty. I was not aware that Misplaced Pages in this sense is suppressing liberty of speech and censoring crucial background information of general interest, just because you happen to have wicked political views... <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding ] comment added by ] (]) 13:01, 9 August 2009 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot--> | Excuse me sir, but that Anders is not in any of the film is a complete lie. I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the ], on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely <i>nine</i> edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I <i>will</i> credit links fixed by turning a ] page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the ], we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Hi. The ] has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland ]. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like ]. For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like ], sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --< |

my ronnie edit
its true ffs. why would i risk the reputation of that website? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.106.241.156 (talk) 20:45, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- If it's true, you should have no problems adding a reliable source. Otherwise, it is just WP:OR, which is not allowed on Misplaced Pages, and is particularly problematic in the case of living persons. -Lilac Soul 20:48, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

My apologies. I meant to revert the additions to Ronaldinho which you had been carefuly removing and instead I managed to remove your fixes and warn you for vandalism. Sorry about that, mea culpa. srushe (talk) 21:54, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it, I've done the same myself in the past, and probably will do so accidentally again :-) -Lilac Soul 12:13, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
St. Peter's
Thanks for your edits! Can I suggest that in many places where you are adding a full name to link a person who is only identified in the text by their surname (or whatever) that you simplify matters by simply replacing the name that already there, instead of politely separating your edit from the text. I just did this with your edits to Jacopo Sansovino (who was previously only identified in the text as Sansovino, and Antonio da Sangallo the Younger. In both cases your edits make the matter clearer. Amandajm (talk) 06:05, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Very good point, that certainly makes it easier for the reader. Thanks for the suggestion! -Lilac Soul 17:09, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't know if I just lost your edits in saving my text changes. I'll get out of the way and go and make dinner, while you check! cheers! Amandajm (talk) 07:16, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think my edits are intact. Besides, they were only disambiguation fixes - as nice as those are, in my opinion, they are nowhere near as important as they types of fixes you made. So don't worry about it! -Lilac Soul 08:35, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Hej!
Tak for din tid! Mike H. Fierce! 08:43, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Tak for invitationen. -Lilac Soul 12:34, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Euro referendum
I've got a few questions: The referendum will be held next year, and will only try to introduce the euro, ignoring the two-and-a-half other opt-outs? What is still required before the vote will officially be fixed for next year? The support of the Socialist People's Party? Will they adopt a more pro-European party line (since they are being considered for inclusion in the European Green Party, and only their EU position remains an obstacle, that might have side benefits)? Thanks! —Nightstallion 16:35, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, the article does lack some info on what it is the socialist people's party wants. I'll try and find a good reference either today or tomorrow. The news I've heard was about the Euro, but they haven't said whether they plan to hold the Euro referendum alone or in combination with others.-Lilac Soul 18:23, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Line of succession to the Danish throne
Surtsicna (talk) 17:30, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- AFAIK, there is no official standpoint on this. However, all lines of succession I've seen printed in the Danish media do not include the unborn child, so I think we shouldn't include it either - doing so would probably be WP:OR. How about a note to the line of succession stating that, "the unborn child of XXX will be placed after YYY and before ZZZ"? I think I would be fine with that, as that would be neutral and not OR. -Lilac Soul 17:34, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed, adding the unborn baby could be regarded as original research. The article should certainly include the information about the future changes in the line. Surtsicna (talk) 17:52, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Re : thanks, I agree. I think there's enough background to merit its own article (it appears to have been a highly notable and taboo-busting novel in its time). Gordonofcartoon (talk) 00:46, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- Personally, however, I don't know anything by neither the author nor the novel. You appear to have some knowledge on the subject, having started the author's article. Do you know enough to start the article on the novel, as well? -Lilac Soul 06:21, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
- Nearly: I need to have a look at a broader range of contemporary reviews first, as they weren't all glowing (e.g. the Pall Mall Gazette called it "powerful but unpleasant"). Gordonofcartoon (talk) 12:55, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Kosovan passport
The problem is that the other user wont read and learn the difference between de facto and de jure. That is the remaining problem which I hope we will solve soon. The other problem is that he removed maintenance templates for which I warned him and told him it is not allowed so he stopped doing it. But it would be too time consuming to run RfC - in what state would that article be in the meantime? Anyway it's sad but you know it probably that some users wont bother with discussing an issue unless you revert their edits, only then they notice that there is a problem.--Avala (talk) 20:03, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

thanks for your help
The article is looking alot better. Cheers. I'm now having fun creating a new stub on the IEPA (with Merete Nordentoft as the vice president) - but ended up with a copying warning after simply coping the association aims onto the article Earlypsychosis (talk) 12:02, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you, too. These may not be highly visible pages, but I think they're fairly important. Merete Nordentoft is my boss, incidentally. -Lilac Soul 12:08, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'll let you (and others) play around with the article a bit. As for the copyright infringement, I suggest you try and condense the list into prose, using your own words, and providing a reference to the site containing their aims. I'd help you but don't feel I have the time right now. Maybe later. Cheers! -Lilac Soul 12:17, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Could you expand this beyond a definition. It sounds like a reasonable topic, but its current state and the cited lack of sources make me wary of supporting it right now. A single fact or piece of information that is not definition (and sourced from another source) could easily change my mind. - Mgm| 21:47, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Resolved – User:Earlypsychosis Earlypsychosis (talk) 09:16, 19 February 2009 (UTC)- I see it's already been handled. Just to let you know, though, WP:TALK states that you are allowed to delete material not relevant to improving the article (per the (...) subsection WP:TALK#How to use article talk pages). So if you come across something on a talkpage that is clearly inappropriate content, go ahead and remove it. - The page has/has several problems. It is completely original research, which is not allowed. You claim to have contacted people, but provide no reliable sources. There is absolutely nothing about this as found by searching Google (7 hits when using citation marks), so even if it may exist, it would fail WP:NOTABILITY criteria. I hope that answers your question. I'm sorry if this means that a lot of your time has been wasted; if indeed this is a noteworthy subject, please try and address the issues I raise. For instance, you could create the article in your own userspace User:Paris1991/Janus Public Relations, and if you can add sources and establish notability, have myself or another experienced editor have a look at it and see if it stands a chance as a proper article. I do, sincerely, doubt it, however. -Lilac Soul 12:31, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello
I noticed in your "about me" section that you are a PhD student with knowledge of psychoses, drug abuse, and statistics. I beleive that statistics is all the more important in psychology due to the subjective nature of diagnosis. Also, pharmaceutical research is more difficult in my opinion because of the ethical issues and a strong placebo effect. All the best. Mwalla (talk) 19:24, 20 February 2009 (UTC)mwalla

Hi. What indications of importance? They played for three years, released one single, and have a compilation album on their own label and one track on another album. How does that meet WP:BAND? Is one of the members a star I haven't heard of? Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:47, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, the article's been speedily deleted, so I guess it's a moot point; but an article describing (as I seem to recall that it did) album/single releases and being featured on compilation albums is not, in my best opinion, a candidate for speedy deletion. In order to meet the A7 criterion, the article must give no "indication of why the band is important". The albums and compilations are, at least, an indication. Whether or not the band then meets WP:BAND is a separate question, but that is not to be handled by a speedy deletion, but by WP:PROD and WP:AFD. -Lilac Soul 07:08, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, OK, as you say a moot point - I didn't see much "indication of importance". It wasn't me that re-speedied; I planned to wait for your reply and then consider whether to AfD. In fact I think it was also verging on spam - the author's name suggested a connection, and the reference linked to the record label which wouldn't have objected to selling you a CD. I thought it was odd that an article should pop up for such a long-defunct band. Anyway, it's gone now. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:13, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it certainly was odd for an old band like that to all of a sudden be deemed important, so I agree it probably wasn't notable. In any case, I'm glad that you brought this to my attention - I by no means claim to be infallible, so I actually prefer it when people tell me if they think I've misapplied some policy or other. Cheers! -Lilac Soul 10:55, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

- It's OK. I felt (and still do based on the current version) that it falls under A3. AFAIC, anyone researching the subject knows that the place is a Spanish amusement park. It's kind of like opening the article about Disneyland from a third-party perspective and seeing, "Disneyland is a theme park in Anaheim, California." Makes the project look bad. :) It's been tagged and should grow. In fact, I think the place was an inspiration for Disneyland.--PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:32, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Peter Lundin
Hello, I stumbled upon this article today and noticed that it may not meet English Misplaced Pages notability requirements, therefore I may nominate it for deletion. Also, I noticed that when you created the page in 2007 an unreferenced tag was included. This is dismaying as it puts the responsibility of providing sources for a BLP on other editors. Could you please revisit it and establish notability by adding proper sources? Thank you, momoricks (make my day) 04:35, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. I think he is definitely notable, so I'll establish this with some sources in a couple of days' time, time permitting. As for the unreferenced tag I put there when creating the article, this is because I pretty much translated the article from the Danish Misplaced Pages article; I do agree with your concern, though. Like I said, I'll try and fix it shortly (not today, though, too tired), and then I'll be happy to debate it further if you still have notability concerns. Cheers! -Lilac Soul 20:54, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

The main concern I have right now is Lundin's classification as a mass murderer. His crimes do not match the English Misplaced Pages definition. Perhaps it has a different definition in Denmark? is it okay to use unoffical tags ...my guess is that its is not okay, but what about talk pages?
like this tag example Earlypsychosis (talk) 05:12, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know how this works, but I agree with you that I'm fairly certain that it isn't okay. The problem is that everyone can create a tag, but it looks more official than just text; thus it looks more official, which is problematic when consensus isn't established about the content of the tag - be it on the talkpage or on the article proper. I suggest just putting your concern in normal text. You may want to check out the village pump to find out what to do if you want your tag to be "officially" recognized - in particular, I think you should check out (post at) the section WP:VPP or, perhaps, WP:VPR. -Lilac Soul 06:46, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Rasmussen
Now that he'll become NATO SG on 1 August, what'll happen in Denmark? Will the other Rasmussen simply take over with at most a few minor changes to the cabinet, or will something more relevant happen? And does this increase the Social Democrats' chances at the next election? —Nightstallion 14:26, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- It is expected that Lars Løkke Rasmussen will take over as prime minister tomorrow (Sunday 5th April), so of course we'll need a new minister of finance. Speculation is that it will probably be a minor change to the cabinet at first, and then perhaps a larger change once things have settled down. The opposition is demanding new elections, but that almost certainly won't happen. Polls are that Lars Løkke Rasmussen is much less popular than the Social Democrats' leader, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, but some analysts think that's comparing apples to oranges, since it's comparing a second-in-line to a first-in-line, and that it will change once people know Lars as the first-in-line. -Lilac Soul 15:08, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Mh. And what do you expect? —Nightstallion 22:10, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Much the same. I expect that employment minister Claus Hjort Frederiksen will become the new minister of finance, and that someone who isn't currently a minister will take over his position; either that, or a current minister of a smaller ministry taking that position, and then an outsider taking the smaller ministry. There won't be an election, I'm sure of that. Though the opposition wants one, Lars Løkke is by no means required to hold one as he doesn't have a majority against him in parliament, and an election now would probably be won by the opposition, so why should he call an election? -Lilac Soul 06:02, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Mh. And what do you expect? —Nightstallion 22:10, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Pronunciation
Hi Lilac Soul, I understand that but two wrongs don't make a right, and not only should the link be corrected, but the filename should be also. Before I reverted it, I noted this on the other editor's talk page here. Cheers. — Deon555I'm BACK! 07:05, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I think the wrong of having a redlink for a pronunciation file is greater than the wrong of having a filename with a misspelled name point to the right place. I do agree, though, that we should correct this - but let's do it in the right order - changing the filename first so that people won't encounter a disruptive redlink on a page that is likely to be high visibility due to his appointment as the next NATO secretary general. I'll have a look at moving it. -Lilac Soul 07:10, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately one must be an administrator to move a file. There are two options, ask an admin to move it, or re-upload it and list the old one at MfD (the second being preferred). Nevertheless, I'll see if I can find a spare admin on IRC. Cheers — Deon555I'm BACK! 07:15, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- I've reuploaded and will list for deletion - we may have to keep it for copyright purposes, though, I don't know. -Lilac Soul 07:17, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's why I wasn't willing to upload it myself. Upon talking to User:Prodego on IRC, it appears admin's can't even do it anymore... ah the wonders of MediaWiki :). Anyway, thanks for your help re this. Cheers — Deon555I'm BACK! 07:19, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

-Garrett W. (T/C) 20:16, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. But what about WP:SIG#NT?
- Hmm. Dunno. I'm not transcluding the template since I subst it, but, hitherto unbeknownst to me, WP:SIG#NT discourages subst'ing. I'll think about it, and perhaps I'll change my signature because of this... -Lilac Soul 18:55, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yours isn't a pure transclusion, yes, but the only difference with subst-ing is that the template source is included rather than linked to. Thus, many of the points in WP:SIG#NT still apply to subst-ed sigs. Just FYI.

- I've decided it's better to comply with policy, even if nobody has ever complained about my signature. It is now no longer a substed template. As you'll notice, however, it doesn't have the content you originally asked about, either. I guess the content wasn't really that important anyway. - Was just going through my contribs and I saw that I had never replied to your last message.
I just reviewed the policy about subst-ing in sigs, and it looks to me like there shouldn't be a problem with it if the resulting markup (1) is within the 255-character limit, and (2) provides some additional benefit over a raw signature. FWIW, that's my opinion on the policy. The only thing I don't know about is how substed sigs are handled on the backend, and if doing so could have any measurable negative impact on operations.

Anders Fogh Rasmussen
—Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.185.28.192 (talk) 13:01, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I think Anders Fogh Rasmussen is one of the worst things to have happened to Denmark in recent times, but my own political views are, just as yours, completely irrelevant to a Misplaced Pages article. However, some of the points you raise here could certainly be considered important - they require reliable sources, of course, and I don't see why they'd belong in a filmography section; but they could, perhaps, be of interest to the readers of the article if presented neutrally. However, this discussion does not belong on my talkpage, so please refer to the discussion I've started on the article's talkpage. -Lilac Soul 05:40, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans
Hi Lilac Soul, I'm the creator of the NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans page. I saw that you moved the page to Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans. The name of the organization is NEADS, with 'Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans' as a kind of subtitle, so having the page named that might confuse people. I know that wikipedia does not like '/', so I changed it to: NEADS (Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans). I think that accurately shows the organization's title, but makes it a little less clunky for wikipedia. For more information on teh organization's name, I've added some discussion to the NEADS talk page...
Hope this helps! Thanks, Lisaanimal --Lisaanimal (talk) 20:56, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Just an idea
Hey, i was used to make modules on nwn, many using your script generator. Now im trying to make modules using dragon age toolset, is quite similar, but the scripts are diferents and hard to find when you need them, i know you are very busy, but here's is an idea, to make a script generator for dragon age newbie scripters, why dont you think about it?

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Lilac Soul! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 7 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 11 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

A Scripting Question
First off, great job on the script generator, it has helped me out considerably! I have a lot of fun building modules for my friends to play, and the scripting process in the pain the rear sometimes. The generator has made it so much faster and easier. My question is concerning scripting for the first Neverwinter Nights. I am trying to build a massive module, which will probally need to entail more then one. So, my question is, how do you can have you module end, and load another one, as they do in the NWN game itself.
Thank you, Darth Stitch
- It's fairly simple, really. Just three lines of script which will move all players currently connected to the module to the next module. Just replace ModuleName with, of course, the actual module name. You must use the filename, not the internal name:
void main() { StartNewModule("ModuleName"); }
Hope that helps. -Lilac Soul 17:52, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Yes, thank you, that helps a lot!! Now, here is the tricky part, if it is even possible. Will this save any changes made to the module, or allow them to return to that module later? My original idea was to build my massive module as seperate zones. Kind of in the spirit of Morrowind, a massive open-ended adventure. Rather than have hundreds of areas, I want to make seperate zones. can it be done? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.255.149.176 (talk) 22:36, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- No changes are saved to the module. If you need to carry information around from module to module, you will have to do so with local variables or undroppable items. -Lilac Soul 06:33, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
OKay, thank ya very much! I already been setting up the variables just in case. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.255.149.176 (talk) 16:41, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
I guess I didn't reply completely to your question. Your players will of course be able to return to that module later, if you script them to, but it'll be reset except for whatever you're able to achieve with local variable checks and such. NPCs will be respawned (except, of course, that you can just kill them off by scripting through local variable checks as well). -Lilac Soul 21:19, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of There Goes My Baby (film)
The article There Goes My Baby (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- non-notable film. no critical review can be found in a national news source.
While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Vinithehat (talk) 18:32, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Misplaced Pages:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Nikkimaria (talk) 12:27, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

- Your additions are being deleted because Misplaced Pages does not include speculative content unless it is well sourced. Sources must be reliable, which your source was not. I apologize for calling your edits vandalism - the contents were not, but I misconstrued your continued addition of previously removed content as vandalous. I now see that you were doing this in good faith, and apologize for calling it vandalism. It does not, however, belong on Misplaced Pages. -Lilac Soul 08:14, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- Append: I now see you have a Guardian source. I'll accept your revision. Whether or not it should be in the article, well, if it gets reverted again, you should discuss on the article's talk page whether or not it should be in or out, rather than engaging in edit warring. -Lilac Soul 08:28, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Robert Spitzer edit
Hello. I don't understand these changes by you. I made my edit analogous to uncontested entries like this. The way it's now, it's not only missing information but also lacking uniformity. Regards – ὁ οἶστρος (talk) 13:54, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. Well, it has to do with MOS:DAB guidelines. In particular, only one bluelink should exist per line, and in most cases, links should not be piped in disambiguation pages. As for removing info, this is because it doesn't really belong on disambig pages. Quoting MOS:DAB, avoiding distracting information. In brief, the pages should contain only disambiguation content. The O'Connor disambiguation page may have been uncontested when you looked at it, but apparently, it wasn't set up according to Misplaced Pages standards. I hope my explanation helps. -Lilac Soul 16:58, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- Also, the O'Connor page needs further info because it often will not be clear from the article who the particular person is. However, if an article is called X (psychiatrist) and another X (footballer), you'll most likely know from that description alone which one you were looking for. -Lilac Soul 17:00, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

edit war
Dear Lilac Soul
I do not understand why I am in edit war. I added a lot of sources into John Hunyadi, and somebody always wanted to delete it. It was vandalism. The theme was nationality/ethnicity. I also commented it on its talk page. Fakirbakir (talk) 13:20, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- It was not vandalism. It was a content dispute. You believe one thing, the other person believed another. I agree that removal of your references was not acceptable, but it was still an edit war and violating WP:3RR, something you have been warned about in the past. I know it is tempting to get involved in such edit wars when you believe you are absolutely right, but the proper approach is always to discuss first if your edits are reverted. Then, if consensus is reached that your edits are correct and should stay, then you have grounds for getting your contributions marked as correct. I'm not taking a side on whether you or the IP editor is correct - I am just telling you that edit warring is against the principles of Misplaced Pages. I do not, however, mean to discourage you from editing Misplaced Pages. You appear to want to make Misplaced Pages better, which is something I think we all benefit from in the end. So thank you for all your efforts in making Misplaced Pages better, but please understand that edit warring is problematic. Happy Sunday, and happy Halloween if you're into that sort of thing :-) -Lilac Soul 13:25, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest
I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:51, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
Hi. The Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Misplaced Pages:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Misplaced Pages:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 09:56, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Schools in San Marino
A tag has been placed on Category:Schools in San Marino indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Proposed deletion of File:ReferendumAgeScatter.JPG
The file File:ReferendumAgeScatter.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused raster image not used to create to corresponding vector image and thus is not needed for attribution purposes
While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. HouseBlaster 15:17, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
