'''Üter''' (''Ueter'') is a fictional ] foreign exchange student in the TV series '']''. His name is presumably German, but no such name actually exists. It resembles the actual names ''Uther'' or ''Günther''.

Typically Üter is portrayed as being the generic "foreign kid" although he is often called upon to specifically serve as a stereotypical German. In particular he is shown as being pudgy and obsessed with candy, specifically chocolate and unusual candies that Americans would regard as humorously foreign. He has odd habits such as offering his already-licked flavorwax to others as a sign of friendship and eating ] candies fortified with ].

He disappeared for a period of time after the ] field trip; when the actors in the reenactment noticed that the students had sneaked in and gave chase. Üter was left behind to be clubbed with the butts of the faux rifles that the men reenacting the Civil War were wielding. Although a joke was made of this event in a later episode, with Üter's parents asking Skinner where their missing son was ('']''), in the same episode ] denied any knowledge of Üter. He has since reappeared, alive and plump. In ('']'') he states that his father is the foreman of the Dusseldorf Gumworks. He was killed in a ] episode when the teachers become cannibals. They call the dish '''Üterbraten'''. Üter's most embarrassing moment came when he ate his own ] of '']'' (which was made entirely of Chocolate) before it could be judged ("I begged you to see mine first! I begged you!")

In the dubbed German version of the show, Üter is ] and not German; for the German audience Üter's frequent references to chocolate correspond better to stereotypes the Germans associate with the Swiss and not themselves, although for most Americans the character corresponds closely to popular clichés about the Germans, such as his habit of wearing ].

In its summary of "Treehouse of Horror IV", '']'' incorrectly states that Üter "is not mentioned by name", when in fact Bart addresses him so.

*"I feel like I'm in ]!" - while pulling the bus up a mountain. Nelson then says "That movie was flawed!" and punches Üter.
