Typically Üter is portrayed as being the generic "foreign kid" although he is often called upon to specifically serve as a stereotypical German. In particular he is shown as being pudgy and obsessed with candy, specifically chocolate and unusual candies that Americans would regard as humorously foreign. He has odd habits such as offering his already-licked flavorwax to others as a sign of friendship and eating ] candies fortified with ]. |

He disappeared for a period of time after the ] field trip; when the actors in the reenactment noticed that the students had sneaked in and gave chase. Üter was left behind to be clubbed with the butts of the faux rifles that the men reenacting the Civil War were wielding.
