Well, I guess this article was lucky to avoid AfD really, given how poorly it was cited, and how overweight with in-universe detail. I've done three things: separated the main fictional history (subsections are book titles) from HoME drafts ("Development"); removed the fancruftiest material; and added a lot of Silmarillion citations. I had earlier added a bit of scholarly material ("Interpretation"). The citation side of things is now not too bad, though Development needs some more work, but the article remains far too primary. I'll look out a bit more scholarship. ] (]) 14:05, 18 February 2022 (UTC) : {{U|Twillisjr}} - please see my comments on your image request at ], as the same considerations apply. We can't randomly use non-free images; photographs don't exist; and fan art can only be used with great caution, and we already have one such in the article, so the options here are to put it mildly very limited. ] (]) 17:54, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

Silmarillion

The Silmarillion in Tolkien's work is an ancient epic that has been published in part in several books, one of which is called The Silmarillion. I edited the intro to make this distinction. Zaslav (talk) 21:57, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

You mean Tolkien's legendarium. Chiswick Chap (talk) 06:01, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Twillisjr - please see my comments on your image request at Talk:Legolas, as the same considerations apply. We can't randomly use non-free images; photographs don't exist; and fan art can only be used with great caution, and we already have one such in the article, so the options here are to put it mildly very limited.
