About Me

"I always feel that I've just started. The work to be, the work that's yet to come … it will remain there, to be done, no matter what happens. If the reviews of a play of mine are the best in the world, my work remains to be done. If a book of mine wins all the prizes in the world, the work remains to be done."

Maya Angelou (1973)

I'm currently working on:

My t-shirt is from the Tour de Timor

I am Eric S. Piotrowski, a high-school English teacher and writer living in Madison, Wisconsin USA. I'm involved with the East Timor and Indonesia Action Network/US and locally with the Madison-Ainaro Sister City Alliance.

You can read my brilliant insights about life, teaching, politics and culture at Deviant Synapse, and/or peruse my yammering about Misplaced Pages at wikithoughts. I also have a sandbox and a drawing board. (Please also visit my alternate userpage.) If you'd like to leave me a message, click here.

I also do some video-mashing in my spare time. One of my better works is I, Neo, which mixes together Massive Attack, Mos Def, and The Matrix.

I designed this page – with lots of trial and error – using tables. Feel free to swipe code if you like, but a link is appreciated.
