Salam, I have read Ostad Elahi's work and they are remarkable (Specially the Ma'rifat Ar-Ruh which was translated recently to English as well). I would like to know why you think the Nur foundation is cult. Note I am not affiliated with any group, but I would appreciate some more information, since I do have friends in the organizations. Also I do not read French at a sufficient level. I would appreciate any information through E-mail which you can access through my wiki-page. --] (]) 15:57, 18 January 2008 (UTC) Salam, I have read Ostad Elahi's work and they are remarkable (Specially the Ma'rifat Ar-Ruh which was translated recently to English as well). == References ==

Octavian: All of the references are proper and true in "History of the title Ostad Elahi". I don't know if you can read Farsi, but don't lie and make things up if you can't. Reference 22 is right and reference 23 is also right. Reference 23 is on page 590 of the listed book in saying 1854 and in footnote number 9 on the same page. Also, don't call me names and don't lie about my Wiki history or I will report you to the Wiki supervisors. I do have other entries on the Farsi version of Wiki site.] (]) 22:34, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

==AfD nomination of ]==
Please see my comment on the ] about the During book that you cited – I think it can be discredited as a source that establishes notability. As for what you said about New York Times obituaries, it simply isn’t true. Celebrities and well known public figures do not have paid obituaries – they are researched and written by respected journalists. The obituaries that appear in the paid death notices section can be written and submitted by anyone, and no fact checking is done. That is why paid obituaries, regardless of where they are published, are not valid as references for an encyclopedia. ] (]) 23:44, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

== Stalking accusation ==

We both know that the ] article has had a lot of problems. Hence, I keep it on my watchlist. I'd like to be able to make a critical comment, if I believe it's necessary, without being accused of wikistalking. You can be sure that, by this time, I expect to receive such an accusation from you every time our paths cross. Henceforth I'll consider it a form of harassment. I have tried to ] with you all along: you don't need to point out the number of edits you've made, or the number of articles to which you've contributed. I've always kept your efforts in mind, even as I've watched you respond to me and to others with an unnecessarily hectoring tone. -- ] ] 00:33, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Barnstar Award for You

The Original Barnstar
For jumping right in, and doing a great job with article content, especially with the Jack Clemmons article, I award you this Barnstar, Octavian history. Keep up the good work! Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 15:33, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Edison barnstar

Thanks for the barnstar! T.A. Edison had his flaws, but his achievements as an inventor are outstanding. Plus, they are well documented, unlike some rival claimants. The phonograph, major improvements to telegraphy and telephony, and motion pictures, as well as the first commercially useful lightbulb. Edison (talk) 02:48, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Page moves

Hello, please ask for help the next time you need to perform a troublesome page move (e.g. when a page history already exists, etc.). If nothing else, please do not perform any more cut-and-paste page moves. This has come up before and you did it again with Nur Ali Elahi and its talk page. I can appreciate that you wanted to quickly resolve an issue, but next time, please ask an administrator for help, or file a request at Misplaced Pages:Requested moves. Thank you. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:42, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Removal of Kurdish references in Elahi's page

Hi,

The stuff you removed without any explanations from Nur Ali Elahi's page were taken from his official website. It is well known that he was born into a Kurdish family. Please check out the provided sources more often or at least discuss your rationale on the talk page. Heja Helweda (talk)

Speedy deletion for William Pywell

A tag has been placed on William Pywell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. миражinred (speak, my child...) 23:42, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

I declined the speedy on this page & added some info and references. This guy was fairly well known in his day. I'm afraid I'm not much of a writer, but it's a start. :) --Versageek 02:51, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Hajj Amin Elahi

Contact me about saving your article. I think that we can use the foreign language sources to help establish notability. Also if we can demonstrate credibility and independence for the Tanbur Society this will help. The NY Time obit is good for providing information on him, but useless for establishing notability, don't get trapped into arguing that point. --Kevin Murray (talk) 11:04, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Get the title, author, publisher and date on several foreign sources. It would be great to be able to use them as inline citations for specifics in the article. I'm hoping that you are fluent in the language and can translate, else will ahve to find a Wikipoedian who has access and can translate. Do you have info on the Tanbur Society? --Kevin Murray (talk) 11:14, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
