Good thoughts
I hope the short wikibreak does well by you and you returned refreshed. Sometimes a battery recharge and reset of perspective can be quite helpful. Tell me if you spot any lovely or rare birds. :) Be well! Vassyana 18:33, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Archive formatting
Hi Syviecyn. Just wanted you to know that the formatting on the second page of your talk archive has lost all its paragraph threading. Hope you can get it fixed. Revera 11:07, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Regarding your comment: This is a legal matter of libel and defamation of my character by you, for which you are now also causing Wikpedia to carry the libel you produce, because of your willful actions here, because Wikpedia, on which you are chosing to libel me, is bound to follow the letter of the libel and slander laws of the State of Flordia, in the United States in which Misplaced Pages's server resides -- not wherever it is that you now live or from where the server of your website originates.

Completely off-topic
Have you caught sight of any notable birds in the past few weeks? :) Vassyana 12:37, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Birding question
I live in the Western New York/Southern Ontario area and I saw a bright scarlet bird, with slightly darker wings, that had no crest. It is about the size of a jay or cardinal. Any idea what that might be? Also, I caught sight a gorgeous blue jay this morning!! Be well! Vassyana 12:26, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Talk pages... and talk pages
Hi Cynthia, please could you have a look at this: User talk:Jossi#Tx, regarding your comment earlier today on the Prem Rawat talk page. I mean, that was probably not something that could easily be sorted out on the talk page of an encyclopedia article.
Isn't there somewhere else more suitable to address the issues that obviously bother you? Jossi's talk page, or the talk page of his "response" page. I've been having some talks with Jossi today on Jimbo's talk page (User talk:Jimbo Wales), but I don't know whether it would be up to me to invite someone else to go to that page to try to sort things out. --Francis Schonken (talk) 00:39, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Prem Rawat 1RR probation
Per the discussion at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard#Prem Rawat 1RR parole proposal, the articles now in category:Prem Rawat are on special 1RR and disruption probation. A notice describing the probation is at talk:Prem Rawat. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 22:06, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Arbcom case
Hi Sylviecyn,
An arbitration case has been initiated by Jossi: Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration#Prem Rawat.
At the Prem Rawat talk page PatW was wondering why you hadn't been listed as a party (see Talk:Prem Rawat#Request for arbitration). Would you be interested? --Francis Schonken (talk) 22:40, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm listing you now. --Francis Schonken (talk) 03:07, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Prem Rawat
An Arbitration case involving you has been opened, and is located here. Please add any evidence you may wish the Arbitrators to consider to the evidence sub-page, Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Prem Rawat/Evidence. Please submit your evidence within one week, if possible. You may also contribute to the case on the workshop sub-page, Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Prem Rawat/Workshop.

Per your statement
Saw your statement on the Prem Rawat case - per WP:OUTING, the revealing of off-wiki personal information of Wikipedians is not permitted and is seen by Misplaced Pages as a form of harassment. Therefore, any administrator can remove the personal information and in extreme cases the oversight people can be asked to purge it from the database (although this is probably not desirable while the arbitration case is proceeding as the arbitrators may wish to treat the diffs as evidence). If any information of this type still exists about yourself, and you wish me to remove it, please let me know where to find it. If you are uncomfortable posting this information on a Misplaced Pages talk page, you are welcome to email me at orderinchaos78 at gmail.com - any material sent to me privately will be treated in confidence. Orderinchaos 04:15, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, no worries - I had misunderstood the issue. Thanks for the clarification. I had concluded at the time that the statement from the other user is not "evidence" in any sense that the ArbCom could reasonably consider, and seems to be a set of personal opinions and allegations, and if it were me I wouldn't respond either. Prem Rawat ArbCom dealie...
I may not have been clear in my response, or I was unclear reading your response after that, but I was actually defending your position regarding jossi's attempt at characterizing your questions as special pleading, I felt that his argument was a red herring, not yours by any means. -- Maelefique 03:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Some advice
I don't know what to make of Jossi. At first I thought it was conspiracy theorism, but after seeing actual edit counts, I was a bit disturbed.
Some advice: Your ArbCom case is doomed to failure, obviously, even if you're correct. Misplaced Pages is not a bureaucracy, a democracy, an anarchy, but rather, it's all three, which means it's governed by a series of overlapping, nepotistic kangaroo courts.
When you write long posts like this , nobody is going to read it. They will simply roll their eyes, consider it trolling, then type "strong keep, teh nominador is a trole," and move on.
However, don't worry about it too much. Jossi isn't important and Prem Rawat will inevitably fade into obscurity.
Don't take Misplaced Pages so seriously or it will eat you alive. For more, see User:Zenwhat/Stay sane ☯ Zenwhat (talk) 17:51, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Prem Rawat
This arbitration case has been closed and the final decision is available at the link above. Evidence presented did not disclose a history of problematic editing, in terms of basic content policy, by Jossi, and the Committee commended Jossi's self-imposed restriction to edit only talk pages for Prem Rawat related articles. Due to a history of incivility and personal attacks surrounding articles related to the Prem Rawat movement, the preexisting community enforced one-revert rule on Prem Rawat and related articles that commenced March 4, 2008, has been superceeded by Arbitration Committee enforced article probation.
