For your information, there is a current discussion at the Incidents noticeboard ] regarding your recent use of the rollback tool. The tool is intended to be used for obvious vandalism only, and several of your recent usages do not meet that criterion. We'd appreciate an explanation from you on these, if you wouldn't mind, as the tool may be removed if it is determined you haven't been using it in accordance with guidelines and policy. I am taking a short Wikibreak while getting settled in Japan. This is not a license for the vandals to start up, be warned. |
Effective immediately, any visitor to this talk page may delete any "Image rationale" bot notification at will (specifically any and all messages from Betacommandbot and related bots), once they have dealt with the warning. I have no desire to archive them, so they may be deleted once addressed. |

Hello there Kintetsubuffalo,

New Project
Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.
If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Misplaced Pages namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 06:58, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Join the new Moldovan Wines project !
Hello, I don't know if you are from Moldova or not, but maybe you will be interested in development of the Moldovan Wine articles. If yes, I am pleased to invite you to join it on the Project:MoldovanWines project page. Best regards,--serhio 09:50, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
You rock
Sorry to hear about your loss. Now where'd I put that "Badass Barnstar"? Love your take on this place, far too much seriousness and lawyering going on. This post will self destruct in 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. or not. Dhatfield (talk) 22:01, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Assistance and a second set of eyes
I've probably got myself into another debate here that isn't worth my time, but please review my edits and my discussions at Südtiroler Pfadfinderschaft. I am quite knowledgeable on this region and I tried to update the wikilinks while clarifying the historical context. The user Jergen reverted the edits, made nonsense claims in the talk section, and stated that since the article is about a German scouting group, that the terms should be in German (!?!). My understanding of Misplaced Pages policy is that we update wikilinks and always maintain English usage. Anyway, I don't want an edit war, I hope we can have some simple discussions on the talk page. If I'm wrong about something I'm happy to hear it and be corrected (hopefully with logic :). I personally thought I did a good job at updating the links and also clarifying a bit why the certain terms are used and also that the province of Bolzano/Bozen is part of the southern area of the historical count of Tyrol. Alto Adige and especially South Tyrol are more recent colloquial terms. cheers, Icsunonove (talk) 23:03, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Hello, I´m back
Hello Chris, I worked again on Boy Scouts of the United Nations and Scouting in displaced persons camps. Espacially on their involvement in the Jamborees of 1947 and 1951. There was a troop of the Boy Scouts of the United Nations in Bad Ischl from USA and Switzerland. Vienna 88 (International Scout group) still wears the badge and scarf shown in the article. I hope you are fine. Best wishes. Yours in Scouting-Phips (talk) 16:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Colour version of West Indies Coat of Arms
Hey there. Noticed you were the one to put in the coat of arms image for the West Indies Federation page. Just thought you might be interested in knowing that there's a colour version of those arms at www.westindiaregiment.org - just check the sidebar to the left. Perhaps it could be copied from the site with permission?
Oh and from the site where this black and white version was taken from it seems that the flag in the article is wrong - the sun symbol in the centre should be orange-red as it was originally, not yellow (although I'm not sure if you had anything to do with the flag).72.27.161.159 (talk) 01:29, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
'Stan bugs?
So...I'm there now, and I'm wondering about the weird biting nightbug you mentioned. What does it look like, where is it found, and how does it behave? I saw some crawlies in the bathroom this morning (superficial resemblance to roaches, but more elevated off the ground, smaller, lighter shade of brown, slower) and was worried that those might be night-biters. Please advise. Aelfthrytha (talk) 03:29, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
East Hampton (town), New York
I see you put a tone template on East Hampton. But you gave no rationale and there's nothing on the talk page. Could you please elabortate. Thanks. Americasroof (talk) 14:24, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence
Hello. In light of the fact that it is the first book the U.S. government ever went to court to censor before its publication(!), I was hoping you could help improve the The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence article as part of an effort to make it worthy of becoming a featured article candidate? --Loremaster (talk) 14:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
South African Scout Association GA Sweeps Review: On Hold
As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the GA criteria and I'm specifically going over all of the "Culture and Society" articles. I have reviewed South African Scout Association and believe the article currently meets the majority of the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed, and I'll leave the article on hold for seven days for them to be fixed. I have left this message on your talk page since you have significantly edited the article (based on using this article history tool). Please consider helping address the several points that I listed on the talk page of the article, which shouldn't take too long to fix with the assistance of multiple editors. I have also left messages on the talk pages for other editors and a related WikiProject to spread the workload around some. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 00:38, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Coat of arms of Tibet
Hi Kintetsubuffalo. I was curious about two things concerning the Coat of arms of Tibet article. The first is that when you wrote the original version, you included the sentence, As a symbol of the Tibetan independence movement, it is banned in the People's Republic of China, including the Tibet Autonomous Region which corresponds to the former area of control of the Tibetan government at Lhasa, as well as other areas in greater Tibet. The word "banned" had a citation, but no link. It simply had a ref: <ref name="tibflag"/>. For that reason, it was removed last October and replaced with a {{citation needed}} tag. Can you please relocate the original source? The second request is when you have the time - can please check out my comment on the talk page? I have proposed a possible page move. Thanks. Khoikhoi 23:37, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for moving the page. What about the source though? Khoikhoi 07:18, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Been awhile
Hey Chris, been really busy with college schoolwork, which is why I've been quite inactive on Misplaced Pages this past year. But I'm fine. My, things have changed on the Burma-related articles. How are you? --Hintha (talk) 00:09, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
