Discussion

If this bot is manual (i.e. only semi-automated, in that every edit is checked by a human), and it only effects your userspace, then there is not really a need for this BRfA. Could you confirm that I am correct that this is semi-automated, and effects only your own userspace? Best - Kingpin (talk) 20:02, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

I haven't really had the time to test the little guy since the sock puppet incident but if you are asking me to let the bot edit my page then I might as well give the commands. S-J-S-F-M-W (talk) 20:05, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
The bot made an test execute on my page. S-J-S-F-M-W (talk) 20:10, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Okay, please answer these questions, yes or no; Is the only page it will ever edit your own userpage? Are you checking the edits are all right before saving them? Thanks, - Kingpin (talk) 20:59, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Yes my user page will be the only thing it touches and the same goes for the edits. S-J-S-F-M-W (talk) 00:47, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
  • I will assure you all that I will take full blame if this bot does go out of control. wat 23:05, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
  • I am answering to one right now, my bot is intended to just be my personal cleaning bot, and this request is necessary just to get the damn bot the right to edit. wat 01:08, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
  • Doesn't everyone enjoy broken coding? wat 01:22, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
  • This still doesn't explain what your bot is going to do. As you have not offered a satisfactory explanation for what your bot will do or for why a bot is necessary to do it, I have no choice but to oppose this request. Also, because you just made another edit with another unapproved bot , I have half a mind to block you as well until you agree to stop editing with unapproved bots. rʨanaɢ /contribs 01:25, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
