Re:Tsartsaris
Listen up pal. Will you please check for me every article aboyt basketball players? If you find a single one that has a video highlights section give me a call. If you add a video highlights section to Kostas Tsartsaris, who happens to be from my hometown, then there should be such a section to all Basketball players. That's why i deleted the section. And try to be more polite next time. Sergiogr (talk) 10:27, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- You state that i claim useless personal facts do not need to be in the articles, ie trivia. I do indeed. And Misplaced Pages does not encourage trivia . And that is a fact. I still insist that there should not be video highlights section in these articles but i am not going to discuss it with you any further. Sergiogr (talk) 17:25, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Panathinaikos
Why you are changing Panathinaikos roster as you want??????????????? Be patient and make the changes when the players leave or sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sportin (talk) 10:40, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I second that.It seems you have a history in it.You were doing it last year, too. Please stop it. 77.49.45.68 (talk) 15:50, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Panathinaikos
There are only rumors about Dikoudis, Tomasevic, and Becirovic (of course some of them will leave), Fotsis signed just yesterday, Pekovic plays for Serbian championship. OK we all knew about these moves but acting like this you are giving the opporunity to the other users to do the same. It is obvius that you are not a vandal but what can you say if another user do the same about Papaloukas and Olympiakos for example?
- Hey listen. You have broken the policy that states Misplaced Pages is not a Crystal Ball. So speculation staff etc. such as Verginis joining Panathinaikos because of statements of his are not accepted. He will have officially joined the team when panathinaikos fc announces it on its homepage. Until then Verginis is a PAOK BC player. You also stated in Sportin's talk page that players stated in the press that they will move to panathinaikos which is unlikely yet if it has happened wikipedia does not take it as a reliable source. So wait for panathinaikos to announce their new players then do your edits. Sergiogr (talk) 09:21, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Cover
Hey there, i don't want to fight with you again but i have something to say about Spanoulis' being on the cover of NBA Live 08. I think the cover has been customized by someone to depict him and the page you provide is not reliable. We should only be relied on official sources such EA, NBA.com and other gaming websites. Plus i found on the google many custom covers of NBA live 08 and 09 that depict Josh Smith, Dwight Howard, Kwame Brown, Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett so it's easy to say that creating custom covers.EA has announced that the cover will depict Tony Parker.I am from Greece too but i am sure NBA Live 08 was released with only Gilbert Arenas on its cover.Peace. Sergiogr (talk) 12:23, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Spanoulis EA
In Israel Spanoulis is on the cover that picture is not a "fake". In fact, in Isreal he's the cover player, I already looked into this matter. If you want to change it to say "Israel", instead of "international" then go ahead. If you are going to remove that he was on the EA cover entirely (which would be wrong) please also remove Pau Gasol, Dirk, Tony Parker, Yuta Tabuse, etc. All players that are on non-USA covers must also be removed then, again otherwise we are setting double standards just for the Spanoulis page, which wikipedia is against. Of course you can fight with people over that once you remove them. I would have to check the history again to see who added Spanoulis was on the cover, but it IS a totally legit edit. Because all the other players that are on the non-USA covers are also listed with this on their pages. The issue should be it should probably be changed to say "Israel", instead of "international", because all the other players specify an individual country.

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Nikolaos Zisis. Thank you. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 07:13, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Echoing that... you added a new mandatory parameter ("nickname") to the very widely used {{Infobox basketball club}} template and did not provide an edit summary. It just makes it more difficult for interested editors to have any idea what has changed. Rolando (talk) 16:45, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Sources
Hello! How are you? Do you have any sources about the A Ethniki (prior to 1986) championships, match results and standings? - Sthenel (talk) 11:59, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm from Athens. Yes of course it's more difficult and I have tried a lot to find something. - Sthenel (talk) 12:18, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Spanoulis
Do you have any official reference to Spanoulis being on the cover of NBA Live 08? Very often illegal copies of the game are produced with unofficial covers, particularly PC versions of the game in European territories. No press release from EA lists him as a cover athelete, and I can find no corroborating source (say an interview with the athlete) to confirm. Additionally, EA only produces localised covers for territories where the game itself is localised - there is no Israel- or Greek-language of the game, hence no related cover (in contrast to Germany, France, and Spain, for example - those languages are supported). Given that Spanoulis was released from the NBA and was not under contract to a NBA team at the time the game was released, the fact that he would appear on the cover is unlikely. Additionally, the photo you sent me as evidence clearly shows a Champion logo on the jersey - Adidas is the official clothing sponsor of the NBA and a major sponsor for the game; there is no way a competing clothing manufacturer's logo would have been allowed to appear on any version of the game. In the interest of full disclosure, I am a producer at EA and barring any definitive contradictory source I would consider my knowledge of the subject to be somewhat authoritative. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krisfulton (talk • contribs) 21:58, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Just remove it already
I didn't add it someone else did. But yes he was placed on the cover in several countries. He was the player chosen for this because the game has the national teams from countries and he was put on that for that reason. For some reason people keep asking me about this and for proof of it and I am not even the one that added him on their on wiki, even though it is true. I'm tired of getting these messages so just delete all record of him being on their please. It's just annoying to keep having people ask about this. BTW on the licencse issue it's the FIBA licence for the national teams, that's why he's on their. Notice he's wearing his national team jersey. Wiki Greek Basketball

Thanassis Giannakopoulos
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Thanassis Giannakopoulos, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Pavlos Giannakopoulos. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 09:06, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

PAOK BC
I understand that you work out of good faith to improve greek basketball articles but i stumbled before your edits in PAOK BC article. In particular you have included many players especially from USA in the "notable" section who are in no way noteworthy. The article must address the really famous players your wore the shirt of PAOK like Stojakovic and not Michael-Hakim Jordan!! or a bunch of college kids in their mid 20ies who haven't made any name, still are side by side in the section with Levingston and Berry. Also how Amir Tamir is notable and has a place near to Savic or Skepanovic? What has he done to be notable? --Ioannes Tzimiskes (talk) 22:29, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Notable is someone who a basketball follower would recognize how Lee Humphrey, Chester Simmons, Andrew Panko, Darius Washington Jr. Michael-Hakim Jordan etc fall into that category? That's section abuse. --Ioannes Tzimiskes (talk) 10:23, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Who says that there can be three sections about players? Wiki is an encyclopedia and in an encyclopedia we summarize. People come here to gain a clue about things they are interested in and not to have their brain filled with junk information. I didn't come after anyone i simply felt better to have a discussion first rather an edit war later. --Ioannes Tzimiskes (talk) 16:09, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Dafni Indoor Hall
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Dafni Indoor Hall, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. RE: Arvydas Macijauskas edit history
Issue #1 - I have adequately and reasonably explained in the edit summary that there is no functional purpose in changing the link to a redirect page ("Shooting guard" to "Shooting Guard"). If you feel each separate word has to be all capitals then that is your issue and yours alone. Do not change it for everyone else.
Issue #2 - Any contentious and controversial edits will require an explanation. Your editing method is less than honorable, in this case.

Well, mordant is another word I'd use, Zagalejo, but yes, I feel the same about you, I like your stuff. :)
However, when it comes to this guy, I regret to say I cannot feel the same. It seems any re-working I perform on any the articles he "adopts" (and possibly thinks he "owns") is a clear-cut case of vandalism, according to him. Dear, oh dear. I mean, adequate proof isn't important, but you confirmed it, so hey, it's got to be true, right? A philosophy that fits perfectly with your editing methods. File permission problem with File:2004 Volley SEF.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:2004 Volley SEF.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Could you please clarify the information? You have the source as a photobucket page, but tagged the image as your own work. Are you the photographer? If not, have you gotten permission to release it under the licenses shown? Tyrese Rice
Thanks for your edits, but please do not re-add his signing with Panionios until it appears in a reliable source. As this is a biography of a living person, it is even more vital that we get the info correct, and from a reputable secondary source. Talkbasket is not a proven reliable source (it doesn't have a reputation for fact-checking, backing by a major media company, citations by other news sites). Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 02:46, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- No, it seems you are in the right, and I have restored your sourced addition. I also removed two of the external links of his profile; we don't need more than necessary, and ESPN is probably more reputable than CSTV (though backed by CBS) and DraftExpress. Dabomb87 (talk) 03:05, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- What we can do is use one of the Greek "official sources" in conjunction with talkbasket (for English speakers' convenience). Dabomb87 (talk) 03:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- If you can find one of those Greek "official sources" you were talking about, that would be great. Thanks for all your work on the article. Dabomb87 (talk) 03:30, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Disturbing behaviour on ACB articles
I adviced you one time and it seems that you didn't understand it: don't introduce unofficial signings in roster templates or depth chart. Herrmann and Huertas haven't signed with Baskonia yet, and you know it, so I suppose that your behaviour can be considered as a true vandalism. And don't undo the real work of the people in ACB articles, so don't correct silly things. Maybe you can spent more time cleaning up Greek Teams Pages, that they really need it. If you continue with this edit war I will have to ask for an arbitration about you. --Wikizin 00:44, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Why are you correcting every single 'minor detail' in all my contributions? why are you removing the word 'current' of roster, 'ULEB' of Eurocup and things like this? why are you undo my edits of Players section? Do you know what is a clean article? All that flags and incoherences in the order of the sections make the articles real poor. You tell me that ACB Team Pages arent NBA Team Pages. The NBA Team Pages are clearly a model of clean and structured articles, so its coherent that they are the mirror that we have to look it to improve European's ones.
- Second, where are the official sources of the signings of Herrmann and Huertas for Baskonia? I'm really interested cause I'm Spanish and i haven't read anything about it. Herrmann have an offer sheet, but Unicaja have 10 days to match it. I repeat you, in every sport page new players aren't added to roster until the signing is official. This isn't the case.
- And about the gratefulness about editing the site: it's nothing, I'm pleasing to collaborate and improve articles, but please don't make it more difficult to me. --Wikizin 03:04, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- The rosters: why we cannot mantain them updated? If they aren't it's not 'cause users dont want it, the roster listed is the CURRENT roster. By the way, all the ACB rosters are CURRENTLY updated including players that are 'on the fence' obviously.
- In the Herrmann case, Baskonia announced that they have make the offer sheet, but that don't mean that he is a Baskonia player. In fact is more Unicaja's player than any other thing, because they have the rights to retain him and the last word is on them, but we simply can't add him on the roster or on the depth chart. Same for Oleson, Huertas and all the players that have been involved in rumors and that you have added without any verifiable source.
- That's all. I appreciate that you are grateful with my contribution, but remember the Verifiability policy, please. I don't have real problems with you changing two or three words that you don't like, but maybe there are more important stuff to dedicate time in wikipedia than been my official 'reviser'. I dunno. Greets. --Wikizin 04:06, 8 August 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.38.79.176 (talk)
Depth Chart and rosters
I have never insult you or insinuate that you aren't a great contributor to Wiki basketball articles, it's only that we just can't add players to teams until the club realease the official note -although we all know that Vidal, Priogini or Dasic (the next one) will play for Madrid this year-. Nothing more to say, the whole situation have been clarified. No bad feelings. Greets and keep the hard work. --Wikizin 14:25, 25 August 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.38.79.176 (talk)

Dimitrissss (talk) 18:31, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Dimitrissss (talk) 21:08, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Dimitrissss (talk) 21:18, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Dimitrissss (talk) 21:25, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Dimitrissss (talk) 21:38, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
(Δεν προσθέτεις και κανά κυπελλάκι στον Μίλωνα που έχω κι έναν θείο εκεί παράγοντα;) Dimitrissss (talk) 22:00, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Να μην ξεχάσω: Πρόσθεσε τα κύπελλα του 1966 και 1969 και στις υπόλοιπες γλώσσες (της ελληνικής συμπεριλαμβανομένης βέβαια). Dimitrissss (talk) 22:07, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Dimitrissss (talk) 06:33, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
non-free content and templates
Twice now () you have reinstated fair use images onto templates after they have been removed. Per our policy WP:NFCC #9, such images may not be used on templates. Please do not place non-free images to these or any other templates again, as this constitutes a direct violation of our policy. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 15:08, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Templates
Excuse me, could you tell me the reason that you revert the Template:A1 Ethniki, Template:Basketball in Greece and Template:Basketball in Greece table cells again and again? It makes no sense! You revert them to versions which are old-fashioned, don't use the appropriate navbox and produce a long template at the bottom of the related article which is awful and not collapsible (the most important)! If you want to make any changes in their content, you should do it in the navbox-form of the previous version. Your work in basketball-related articles is very good in general, but other users have the right to edit especially if these edits lead to better results than we previously had. - Sthenel (talk) 12:05, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- I've mentioned above why the new templates are more than welcome and your personal opinion (that you find the old better) isn't enough to revert the edits of other users. You can change the content if you have any suggestions, but reverting to a "wikitable style", when navboxes (with their advantages) are available, is pointless. And saying that you have nothing more to say doesn't consolidate your opinion. - Sthenel (talk) 14:17, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Basketball in Greece
Hello! I saw that you created this article. The topic is obviously most interesting, but the language is atrocious to the point that it is completely unintelligible. If you translated it from Greek, please provide the original text somewhere (you can create a sub-page in your user page) and I'll translate it. Regards, Constantine ✍ 12:17, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Images
Hello, can you please explain these edits? You said the other day this image was by an "unknown" author and non-free; how come you now suddenly remember it is your own work and yours to license? If you just added this claim falsely in order not to have it deleted, let me ask you: never, ever, do that again; it would be a certain way of getting you blocked. Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:12, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Someone else changed it not me. I just changed it back. Wiki Greek Basketball talk 09:27, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Huh? In this previous edit, after being challenged to provide evidence that the person who had previously published them on photobucket, you yourself changed the description from "own work" to "author unknown" and "non-free". So, which is it now? Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:38, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know what your issue is. I am telling you that I did nothing but change the image back because it was listed for deletion. I did not change it someone else did. I merely restored it back. Maybe I accidentally put the wrong copyright in I don't know. If there is a problem change the copyright I might have made a mistake on it. I have not even looked at it. All I know is I saw the image tagged for deletion and changed it. Then I saw someone changed the copyright and this is why it was for deletion. Because they changed it to where it had no proper copyright. I didn't check the original copyright. If there was a mistake made by me, I was the second person editing it that did so, or maybe the third. If you are a mod (I don't even know) perhaps you should fix it to the proper copyright of whatever it needs to be. Are you going to explain the problem here to me or tell me what I did wrong exactly or just threaten me? Wiki Greek Basketball talk 09:44, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- You don't know what the issue is? You made two conflicting claims; now we don't know which is true; that's the issue. And what do you mean, you "didn't check the original copyright"? You are the uploader, it's your obligation to make sure the copyright is in order. And not just the copyright tags, but the copyright itself. You sound as if you regarded copyright tags as just some formal nuisance to be "fixed" at will. They aren't. They must, first of all, be true. So what is the truth, at last, are they your own photographs or are they not? Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:56, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Look, I'm afraid you are still not getting the point. Copyright isn't something you or I could change at will just to make it "correct". There is only one correct copyright tag: the true one. And I don't know which is true as long as you don't tell me. If the images were really taken by yourself, then we can keep them, but you will need to provide evidence through e-mail that you are really the copyright holder (i.e. the person who published them on photobucket). If not, they will be deleted. If you are not the photographer, then they must be deleted in any case, and no change of tags could help against that. Fut.Perf. ☼ 15:14, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for clarifying at last. Unfortunately, that means the images will be deleted. There simply is no "correct copyright" to put on them. There's no way we could use these, unless somebody contacts the original photographer and he actually agrees to release them under a free license.
- I'm sorry you didn't like my reaction, but I think I've been doing my best to explain things patiently here. The point is just, you were talking, right until your latest post, as if those copyright tags were a mere formality and I could have "fixed" the situation just by selecting the right one. I couldn't. What I've been trying to explain to you in all these posts is that this is a matter of actual, factual truth, and if an image wasn't yours in the first place, there simply is no way to fix it. When you upload things the next time, please make sure to read the upload screen more carefully; it does explain all these things quite carefully. Fut.Perf. ☼ 15:31, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Past rosters
Hi again! In Greece national basketball team the section of the past rosters destroys the article. It's too long (half of the article) and looks horrible. You add it again and again but it's not a solution. Could you make templates about the rosters like these? Sthenel (talk) 12:12, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- Your talk page is full of protests and warnings about some of your edits. You arbitrarily add the section of past rosters that worsen the quality of the article. If you want you can make a separate article for it, it has no place in this form in the article of the national team, especially when other users are against to it and you never discuss it. Furthermore, you change the stable versions of the templates according to your will. Will you ever stop all these and co-operate with other users? - Sthenel (talk) 15:30, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
I don't accuse you of anything. You are very productive but you are not alone here. If you wanna talk about something this why the talk pages are for, but your fault is that you never discuss with others in controversian issues. And you don't have the right to accuse me or anyone else who don't accept your point of view. We started a converstion in Talk:Greece national basketball team. Feel free to answer there instead of ignoring us. - Sthenel (talk) 16:00, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- You talked about "bad editing", not me. Since other users have objection on your edit you have to discuss it. See the Talk:Greece national basketball team and write your opinion if you want. I've explained why past rosters are needless. - Sthenel (talk) 16:58, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Linking "Basketball player"
Just in case you hadn't noticed, basketball player redirects to basketball, so there's no real need to make edits like this. Zagalejo^^^ 07:15, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- While I have you, is any of this correct? I don't understand how they could have won the 2009-10 BBL Cup already, but maybe there's some weird twist I'm not aware of. Thanks, Zagalejo^^^ 07:56, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Galis
As i wrote to the discassion of the article of Galis:
Galis was made great assists but he NEVER played at the point guard position. When he played for Aris he was the shooting guard and Panagiotis Giannakis the point guard. Both of them played about 38 minutes each so there was no place for another point guard. Panagiotis Giannakis replaced from Giorgos Doxakis and Antonis Stamatis. They were point guards.
When Galis played for Panathinaikos, point guard was Tit Sock and Minas Gekos or Giannis Georgikopoulos.
Even in the final game of Eurobasket 1987, when Panagiotis Giannakis sent off with 5 fouls, Memos Ioannou replaced him until the end of the game. Galis was always shooting guard.
(I have seen almost all the games that Galis played in Greece. Always he played as shooting guard and always the other guard that played with him was the play maker. So you can wright anything you want about his position but this isn't the true. My opinion is that you can watch some of his games in the internet to understand this. I also must tell you that in his time every player played in his own place and the strategy of his era doesn't allowed to play more than one position. I don't care if someone wright in the article that Galis was a play maker because I know the truth because I have seen this. So please before you name my edits as vandalism it would be good to read the comments first.)Sportin (talk) 13:11, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
You can do anything you want with is, but I can understand your knowledge about basketbal by the comparison you make Galis - Spanoulis. You cannot compare 2 players that have played under different circumstances. I can see from your past conversations here the way that you express your oppinion. I can also see from your edits that your knowledge about basketbal players begins after 2000 so do not try to impress me its obvious that you are not a coach. Anyway, my policy is to not waste time with users that do not understand, so do what you want and be sure that I will not replace any of your edits even they totaly wrong.(this something that I can see that the aother users complain about you) Sportin (talk) 10:29, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Olympia KAE.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Olympia KAE.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:08, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Basketball positions
The names of basketball positions are not proper nouns; thus they do not have to be capitalized. Zagalejo^^^ 01:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Please don't drag my name through the mud like that. I've only had a handful of direct interactions with you. Before the recent discussion, my only edits to your talk page have been to
- welcome you to the site

- make sure you realized that basketball player simply redirects to basketball
- confirm something another editor had added about the Baltic Basketball League Cup
- thank you when you gave me a source about the above.
I think I may have also disagreed with you about depth charts in some project page poll. Otherwise, I've mostly let you do what you want. If I'm forgetting something, please let me know, and we can discuss it. Zagalejo^^^ 08:42, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey, WGB, a note for next time: if you think someone's being mean to you, don't fight fire with fire. As a "well-educated person", I'm sure you know what that means :). The one and only thing that tanked your RfA, besides the lack of administrative work, was the way you reacted to adverse situations. Please take some time to reflect upon what can be improved; if all goes well, I will definitely consider a support in the future. Thank you for all of the content you have contributed! Kind regards, Airplaneman 19:40, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah well according to THIS -> Misplaced Pages Incivility those admins should be dealt with and should not be admins at all. And if this is not the case then it looks like someone is not editing the civility article properly. Besides, I did nothing wrong. I did not act uncivil, but others there did. Maybe I should edit the civility article to properly reflect the behavior of the site's admin.Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 07:50, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Your RFA is closed
I have closed your request for adminship in accordance with the snowball clause. It seems clear that the community will not support you for adminship at this time. However, if you disagree, simply revert my closure and re-add your RFA to the main RFA page .Please don't be discouraged by this, many candidates (including myself) do not succeed in their first attempt at RFA. Try to learn from the criticisms made, you can always try again if you think you have rectified the issues identified today. Good Luck! Beeblebrox (talk) 05:34, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- May I kindly suggest that you reconsider your RfA? While it is possible that you may garner a lot of support during the next 6 days, 16 hours and 25 minutes, as a rule people tend to get supports from very early on - especially if there are already some opposes! It is, of course, your choice but my recommendation would be that you withdraw your RfA, read (and take heed of!) the advice given by other editors on the RfA and try again in a few months' time when you have improved in the areas which people have cited as concerns. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 10:24, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for your concern, but I will keep my application process going. I am willing to help the site out because it definitely has a lot of problems and issues and it gets worse every day. I believe I can help improve it. I would be a good help and I feel that I have earned an opportunity based on my record here. I apply for this out of good will and wanting to donate help. Not over a power trip like I am accused by some. It does not matter as they are probably the ones on the power trip. Also, if I get denied I will NEVER apply again. No way and not a chance in hell. If the site cannot act properly and make proper decisions and if it cannot treat good users properly then it is NOT worth my time to waste as an admin. It's like a slap in the damn face to good contributors the way the comments are on my application request. But that's why this site has slid so far. It's considered perfectly reasonable and acceptable to be a rude, ignorant, arrogant, jerk and to be rewarded for it by being put to make decisions. In a short time, this site will be a memory if it keeps up like this. BTW, you need no concern for me. I don't care about all the rude and immature comments being made about me. Sure it is very insulting, but it does not phase me one bit. People with small minds are simply that way and if the majority of the people turn out that way then it is the message to me to not waste my time helping a bunch of jerks out. Much better things to donate one's time to. -- Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 04:39, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Your time stamps when signing
When you sign your comments, although the time has (UTC) appended, the time given is not in fact UTC, but UTC-6 - which I'm assuming is your local time (for example, your reply above shows 04:39, 23 December 2009 (UTC), but it was posted at 10:39 UTC). I'm not sure if it's a problem with your settings in my preferences (on the Date and time tab) or if it's a problem with your computer's clock, but the time stamp is inaccurate. - First, I'm not bothering you, I'm trying to help you. Second, I never accused you of being "uncivil"; rather my opinion was that your temperament was unsuited for adminship. That may seem like the same thing, but it's not; I was commenting on specific edits of yours that I saw, and I did not attack you. I'm sorry it didn't go well for you, but I hope you won't take it personally. I wish you no ill will and I wish you all the glad tidings of the season. Having said all that, I don't need to be spending any more time on your talk page if you don't want me to. Frank | talk 04:52, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- How about this.....I don't think you have the right "temperament" to be posting on my talk page. Your specific edits tell me that. Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 05:06, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Your RFA
I know you expressed a desire to let your RFA run for the full week, but I am sorry; I have closed your RFA at this moment. The atmosphere of the discussion was turning acrimonious, and anything that causes this kind of drama among the community should be stopped by any means. I hope you will understand. Look past the heated words, and look at the opposition that tells you the ways in which you can improve yourself and expand your editing experience here. If you have any questions or objections, just ask me on my talk page and I will endeavor to give you a fair answer. Best, bibliomaniac15 19:10, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- I understand that you're very frustrated towards this, but the problem was that you started to vent this frustration visibly. From the standpoint of an admin, you will encounter many users that will cause you to be very frustrated, but one must learn to continue to keep a cool head and act civil. This was the main reason why your RFA was so heavily opposed. Your RFA was turning nasty from multiple users, and I do not feel that criticism from others was constructive to you. If the RFA had gone the course it was going, it would have been constructive to no one. bibliomaniac15 04:34, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Don't give me that nonsense. Look at all the admin that were complete pricks and totally out of line towards me. Then why the hell are THEY admins then huh? I will be leaving Misplaced Pages and I will be writing a thorough article about all the problems with it in my editorial. And I will use the quotes on this issue in the article and give the names of all the admin that acted like such immature jerks.Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 04:43, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
More on basketball positions
If you want to continue this discussion, I strongly suggest that you start an RFC at one of the position pages. That way, more people will be able to share their opinions. (If you wish, I can start it myself.)
A few quick comments regarding this:
- PG, SG, etc are just abbreviations, and abbreviations do not always reflect the capitalization of the full words/phrases. For example, consider the chemical symbols for the elements.
- Don't get hung up on the fact that the first word of "Point guard" (or whatever) is capitalized in the article title. That's due to the site's software. In the article text, both words would begin with lower case letters. Zagalejo^^^ 19:21, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- You could possibly use {{lowercase title}} to fix that ;). Airplaneman 19:46, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
RFA issue
I closed it as an uninvolved editor. I meant no harm in closing it, but I didn't want to keep seeing the piling on of opposes. I actually didn't see the prior closure, so I didn't know your intentions. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I understand where you're coming from, as I have had three prior failing RFAs. Reading over it today, I really gained respect for you as some of those opposes were god awful and insulting. Sorry again if I offended you. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 05:05, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages:Requests for adminship/Shubinator
Hello, I saw your recent comments on Misplaced Pages:Requests for adminship/Shubinator and I wanted to leave you a note. I understand that sometimes things may get a little heated on Misplaced Pages and that they might not always seem fair. With all due respect, I might suggest that you take a short break from editing for a bit. Whether it is just a few hours or a few minutes, stepping away from the keyboard (since this really is just a site, after all) might be helpful for you. All in all, we're all on the same side which is to help Misplaced Pages and have a little bit of fun doing it at the same time. Killiondude (talk) 07:56, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

- I will be reporting you on the noticeboard and requesting mediation. As an admin you are TOTALLY OUT OF LINE. You started by insulting and harassing me and now you are treating me to a different standard and singling me out and abusing your post as an admin. Absolutely ZERO excuse for this behavior from you. ANI Notice
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. ArcAngel (talk) 09:22, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Some quick advice
I am sure that you will ignore this advice, but it is meant sincerely.
I would suggest that you take a few days away from Misplaced Pages - make the most of the holidays and enjoy yourself in the real world! This will allow you to 'calm down', and when you come back you can approach Misplaced Pages with a fresh outlook.
Opposing an RfA because you didn't succeed wouldn't be counted as a valid reason. Your comment didn't actually need to be struck out, as the bureaucrat who closes the RfA would just ignore your !vote as an invalid reason for opposing. RfA's are about an editor's actions - they are not "I can't have it, so neither can you" occasions.
You really need to step away for a few days. As I (and others) have mentioned, your contributions to Misplaced Pages are good - you seem to be a good editor from what I can see - but becoming an admin is not just about editing articles. However, I will not go on about this - you have been given good advice already on this subject.
If you are determined to be an admin of a wiki, there are thousands of wikis around the world which you could perhaps become an admin - or you could create your own wiki using the software available.
I hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas - and I hope you will take this advice in the way in which it is intended.
I have no problems with you as an editor - I just don't think you are ready for adminship at the moment.
I am now going to spend the rest of the day with my partner, kids and family, but I'll either pop on later today or tomorrow, so if you want to respond, I will see it sooner or later!
Regards, -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 10:32, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- "I have no problems with you as an editor". - Misplaced Pages:Requests for adminship/Wiki Greek Basketball Phantomsteve: "Extremely Strong Oppose Normally with a candidate standing at 0/15/3, I would opt for 'neutral' to avoid pile-on, but the fact that this candidate's temperament and attitude seems wrong (comments like this didn't help), the fact that they have almost no experience in Wikispace, the fact that they have no idea what they could do as an admin (according to Q1), the fact that when SNOW was offered, instead of taking it (when they were already standing at 0/9/2) they decided to continue with this RfA (when no one had supported them in 3 hours - which shows that the candidate has not seen how RfAs like that always end up)... I could go on. The candidate bemoans the "high school maturity level" of Misplaced Pages - looking through their contributions, I didn't see anything to indicate that (despite 33K+ contributions) they have added content of a higher level. I also don't see much in the way of major edits - lots of little edits (many of which should have been labelled as minor), and lots of stubs created. Let me emphasise here that I think that their contributions to the articles are good, and very welcomed. Adminship however? I'm sorry, definitely nowhere near ready at the moment, or in the foreseeable future."
So I ask you, do you really think I am retarded or what?Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 10:43, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- No, you obviously ignored this bit: Let me emphasise here that I think that their contributions to the articles are good, and very welcomed. My objections were not based on your editing of articles (apart from mentioning that I don't think that your contributions show any evidence of being at a higher level of maturity than what you claim other editors produce) - they were based on your attitude, lack of experience in the areas in which an admin would work, lack of knowledge of what admins actually do - not your editing.
- I do not think you are retarded, but (and this will be my final comments to you, because I'm just fed up with you and can't be bothered with you any more) you are immature, rude, arrogant - and have a persecution complex. You do not show evidence of a high IQ, you keep moaning at others being incivil, and yet you are extremely incivil yourself.
- On your RfA, I saw editors who never use phrases such as "strong oppose" using such phrases. I saw people who would normally give "moral support" giving opposes.
- My final advice would be: if Misplaced Pages is as bad as you think it is, either just concentrate on the good work you do on articles, or bugger off. Feel free to respond here if you wish (I will read any reply you give), but I don't plan on communicating with you further as I can't see the point. You ignore reasonable advice, you insult people who actually assume some good faith on your part - and to be honest, I've got better things to do on Misplaced Pages. Goodbye -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 12:08, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- I am telling you that you are harassing me. Misplaced Pages does not allow online harassment and it is illegal in general online. Do NOT message me again on my talk page or I will report it as online harassment.Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 12:45, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

A suggestion
As someone who has not been involved in your RfA or the following discussions, I suggest you try to let it go and maybe take a little time off from Misplaced Pages until you get some distance to the current events. It has become clear that others don't see things the same way as you and the people you feel have wronged you are not going to get the treatment you think they deserve. That often happens at Misplaced Pages and elsewhere but people have to get on anyway. I understand your RfA was an awful experience but I don't think you need admin tools for the type of article editing you have been doing. You appear to currently be in an upset state where you risk antagonizing other editors to a point where you might be blocked or banned. When a little time has passed you will probably be in another state and hopefully be willing and able to continue your normal editing. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:59, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well as you can see several admin are openly breaking site rules and are making up lies. Now there are even two admins vandalizing pages and then saying I did it. They know very well that they are caught abusing their posts and they don't know how to get out of it. I don't see why I should let them off the hook. They will just do it again to someone else.Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 14:15, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
