Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Chbarts (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I would like to be unblocked. I use Tor, so I expect to be blocked when logged out, but I think blocking me when I am logged in is unreasonable and not justified by any of my actions. Blocking all logged-out (probable) Tor-users is reasonable, blocking certain logged-in users is reasonable, but blocking all logged-in (probable) Tor-users is not reasonable.

Decline reason:

I don't see a direct block on this account in your block log, and can't tell if your assumption that it is related to your use of Tor is correct or if you've just been caught in an autoblock. You can try the strategies here and see if any of them is helpful in solving the problem you're experiencing. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 10:02, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This is your only warning.
The next time you violate Misplaced Pages's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced defamatory content into an article or any other Misplaced Pages page, as you did to Wasilla Assembly of God, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Jclemens (talk) 17:41, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Given that you refuse to discuss any of this, I have a hard time taking you seriously. BLP isn't your personal whapping stick. chbarts (talk) 20:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Snobol

Recently you edited the article on SNOBOL. I have made a comment about this on the Snobol talk page; I am letting you know in case you may like to read it. JamesBWatson (talk) 17:53, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Seeking concensus

On the SNOBOL page you deleted a statement you did not like, and wrote the edit summary "as per talk page, this is staying out until it is cited". This does not, on the face of it, read like an attempt to discuss the contents of the page, and try to reach concensus: it reads more like an announcement that you think you have the right to impose your opinion. I trust that this impression is wrong, and due to an unfortunate choice of words on your part. 217.158.132.35 (talk) 22:51, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Please do not remove blanking from pages which are tagged as possible copyright violations, and do not refer to such blanking as vandalism. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 17:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

February 2011

Please stop edit warring at IEEE_754-1985#History. If you wish to dispute what is said then discuss on the talk page or better as I said before at History of computer hardware which says the same thing and is more pertinent. Repeated reverting when what is there is well cited and without discussion is disruptive behaviour. Your opinions are not the same as cited sources. Dmcq (talk) 18:04, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Read the second citation and discuss at History of computer hardwarebefore reverting again. That is the appropriate article for such a discussion. Dmcq (talk) 18:37, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
