August 2010

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article The Truce Hurts, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 13:56, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Life with Tom. Doing so violates Misplaced Pages's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 13:59, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Reliable source...need more info

I have noticed that you've added URLS from a website called GoldenAgeCartoons (including http://looney.goldenagecartoons.com/tv/ , http://looney.goldenagecartoons.com/ltcuts/ and http://web.archive.org/web/20070205112019/looney.goldenagecartoons.com/ltcuts/mgmcuts.html) to many different cartoon articles.
What is the editorial control for this website, who are the publishers, what are their references, etc. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 15:57, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:58, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Block evasion

You have been blocked from editing Misplaced Pages for a period of 2 weeks as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. Decline reason: You have been blocked directly as stated in your block log. Since you have not provided a reason for being unblocked, your request has been declined. You may provide a reason for being unblocked by adding {{unblock | your reason here}} to the bottom of your talk page, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Probably not a sock of user originally suspected. Two weeks is too long for a first edit-warring block, lifted after one week.

Request handled by: OhNoitsJamie

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

OhNoitsJamie 20:13, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Unblocked; I apologize for misidentifying you as a sock. However, please avoid edit-warring in the future. OhNoitsJamie 20:13, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

The blocking admin has accepted that there is some doubt about the block-evasion, but points out that you were edit warring. I have suggested that you have already served a long enough block for edit warring, and that the block can be ended. I will see whether there is any response to this suggestion. JamesBWatson (talk) 20:07, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Edit warring again

You've been edit warring on Umbrella (song). You've been blocked for it before, and if it continues, I'll block you for it again.—Kww(talk) 21:45, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

November 2010

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to American Idol (season 8), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 04:37, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Palm Island, Miami Beach. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Acather96 (talk) 19:25, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Your addition to ToonHeads has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 23:07, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. The recent edit you made to Rabbit Punch has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. March 2011

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:The Yankee Doodle Mouse. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. MikeWazowski (talk) 05:29, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Yankee Doodle Mouse. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 21:51, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
