::842A started a projects discussion of which he did not participate in, and clearly did not like the result. He has consistantly tried to keep HIS version of the lead in the article against recent discussions. The lead is approved by several Users as is and is Neutral, summarizes the article, sites the cars notable problems, the companies effects, response and the result...the cancellation of the car. There is no need to constantly change what was discussed and approved AS IS by Users. This is non productive at this point. It has been determined no further major pruning or changes are needed to the article. It's been covered at length.(] (]) 11:37, 3 May 2011 (UTC))

Vegavairbob, your edits here are great, but please upload all images to the . Creating an account there will take literally 10 seconds (use same user name as here), and will allow people on foreign language Wikipedias to use the images. Corvette model years

Howdy, and thank you for diving in to clean up the Corvette article. It is something I've been wanting to do myself ro a long time, but have never found time. If you would allow me, I'd like to make an observation: by placing all the model year info under the "history section", fully 3/4 or more of the article is in one subsection (history) Furthermore, even stuff that isn't history, like the current production model, is under history. My opinion is that the history section could live on its own and the model year sections should be up a level as they were before. I believe this is also consistent with most wikipedia auto articles, and actually, with most wikipedia articles in general. Also, if you didn't see it, I started a discussion about infobox usage: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Automobiles#Infobox_usage_.28esp_dates.29 - I would love to hear your opinion! Re: Impala

The citations are needed to prove that the calendar production date is indeed what is stated, because it isn't always the year before. It can sometimes be two years before (like this) or the same year (like, from what I've discovered, the 1994 Impala which started production on 2-14-94 according to the Motor Trend article reproduced here).

So yes, you could say that they're needed because there were gaps in production, but unusual dates also turn up where there weren't, as with the Aurora and, according to this, the '85 Electra/Ninety-Eight.

My personal preference would be to omit the production dates and just use model years for individual generations unless it's a special case, but I don't know if that would be supported by consensus.

Curious about something

Did someone at one time think that a yellow 1978 Monza Estate Wagon (as pictured in your article) was aesthetically pleasing? I'm just trying to wrap my mind around what the designers were thinking and who can honestly look at that monstrosity and say, "I want to buy that car". Anyone? I think it looks rather nice once the side ornamentation and roof racks have been removed. Too cluttered with them on but the body has nice clean flowing lines without them. Convert template

Using the {{Convert}} template ensures that two key aspects of WP:MOSNUM are complied with - commas in large numbers, and non-breaking spaces between numbers and units of measure.
