User:64.8.68.116 resumes vandalism
Hi. Since you previously blocked User:64.8.68.116 for vandalism, I thought I'd let you know that he/she has now resumed this activity. Please search for the term "unicorn tears" in that diff. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 21:59, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Another good analogy to War of Devolution, this article is continued to vandalized by the series 86.XXX IP addresses and by LeHappiste (talk · contribs). Please block this page to even registered users too for few months. Cheer. ༆ (talk) 05:21, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

obvious vandalism
Hi. Sorry to bother you. As you can see, the Gargoyles (TV series) article is being met with vandalism by obvious vandals and continuous edit warring. A page protection would be nice. Additionally, I would like my talk page protected in order to avoid vandalism as well as I've had repeated harassment and blatant vandals attacking me. Thanks again. - Zarbon (talk) 00:44, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- The harassment on your talk page from assorted sock is serious enough that I have decided to semi-protect it indefinitely. It's a somewhat controversial decision, and I recommend that you follow the suggestions at WP:Protection policy#User talk pages. On the other hand, the vandalism on the Gargoyles article is so intense that it merits protection at this point, and the content dispute between you and Doniago is just that, so protection would be inappropriate. Favonian (talk) 15:55, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the protection and blocks
Thank you, although I kind of wish you'd blocked for "lousy grammar". Open proxies, I assume. Bishonen | talk 14:18, 26 October 2014 (UTC).
- Pretty safe bet. I was sorely tempted to hard-block them for several years, but that's probably best left to the pros. Favonian (talk) 15:55, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Edits on Argentine Air Force
Hello. I noticed that you reverted edits made by 190.57.204.31 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log), a static IP geolocating to Buenos Aires, Argentina, so I thought I'd mention that it per WP:DUCK (same edits on same articles, and "correct" geolocation) is a clear case of block evasion, being the latest sock of indefinitely blocked user Agustin.leon21 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) (with equally indefinitely blocked previous socks Agustin.leon20, Agustin.2110, Agustin.212121 and Agustin.leon22). So would you mind issuing a block of appropriate length? Thomas.W 17:25, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, it's him alright – I blocked a couple the Agustins myself. As for the IP, I'm pretty sure it's dynamic, so blocking it won't help much, even if it does bring some satisfaction. Let's see how it plays out and then maybe ask the CheckUsers for some appropriate range blocks. Favonian (talk) 17:59, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Then again, he kept at it so I "sent a signal". Favonian (talk) 18:03, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- I just reverted some more edits by the IP, so he just goes on and on. According to this it's a static IP, in spite of the host name, BTW. Many previously dynamic IPs have become static over the past few years, without the hosts being renamed (very common among Comcast IPs in the US, for example). Thomas.W 18:06, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well, that's a blessing in these confusing times. Should he return to his tedious pastime, the meaning of exponential growth will be exemplified to him. Favonian (talk) 18:09, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Seems you blocked him while I was busy reverting and warning him. Thanks for the block. Thomas.W 18:10, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Aaaaand another one: 201.252.32.179 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log), doing this. Geolocation Buenos Aires, check, article about the Argentine military, check, totally unsourced edit inflating the arsenal, check. So, yes, I do believe it's our friend Agustin. Thomas.W 22:17, 27 October 2014 (UTC) (It's a static IP, and probably an Internet café)
- Looks like Agustin all right. If there's further activity from the IP, I'll block it. Favonian (talk) 18:14, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

Pictures of dead presidents
I do leave a comment in the edit but the editor keeps changing the various articles so quickly and so often, I hardly have the time to do it/add it. Often my own edits don't get through because he already changed the page again... and then sometimes in the redo, I forget o add it. In an infobox, whenever there is an actual photo or daguerreotype of the person available, it trumps a painting; more so if the painting already features elsewhere in the article. -- fdewaele, 27 October 2014, 20:10 CET
- I'm not disagreeing with your reverts, but the editor may be a newbie and thus won't necessarily check the edit history. Please do the decent thing! Favonian (talk) 19:11, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm trying to keep up, but as I say, when your first undo edits get blocked by newer edits, it's sometimes easy to forget to reinsert comments. :-) Some weeks ago, there was an anonymous user who on a massive scale did the same. Perhaps he/she has returned... -- fdewaele, 27 October 2014, 20:16 CET
- Leaving them a message might actually have stemmed the flow. Anyway, could you please locate the IP responsible for the previous attempts? Favonian (talk) 19:19, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Need advice
I need some advice as to how to proceed. On the Al-Karaji article, user:Seanwal111111 has been removing Persian from the lead. He has been reverted by user:HistoryofIran and myself.
