In no way did you fail, as you say on your user page. This is a far from ideal system, and in such systems many people with the best of intentions and best of behavior will find themselves facing a problem beyond their individual capacity to deal with. I am proud and grateful for the good that you did here, and I cannot see any reason for you not to be the same.
