Hi Tito
Tito As I discussed earlier about the activity of Sammy1339 User talk:Sammy1339 for keeping speedy deletion tags and deleted the articles Syed Naseer Ahamed, Abul Irfan & Habibur Rahman Bijli... He could not even wait till the references are collected. Online papers (Telugu & Malayalam) have no links but dozens of offline paper clips are available. But why my articles are been deleted in such a hurry? What intention User Sammy1339 has behind it? Is it intention to keep me away from English wiki? You too said in early discussion, there is no reason to delete the articles.... But it clearly came to know eagerness of deleting these articles. India related articles should be reviewed by the users who are aware of Indic language resources.... What do you say about this? Say for example, Abul Irfan is an auther of dozens of books!!! Syed Naseer Ahamed was even interviewed by CIS............. what is going on Tito.... I have plenty of offline sources of media (News papers) do you agree with these? If so... I will post here for your reference. Ahmed Nisar (talk) 06:56, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- @అహ్మద్ నిసార్: Certainly it is not my intention to keep people off of Misplaced Pages, and I do not like to nominate articles for deletion. However, according to WP:BLP we shouldn't allow articles about living people to be without references, especially when the articles seem to contain criticism or praise. I absolutely do invite you to provide references and resubmit the articles for creation again. Sources do not have to be in English, and do not have to be online. You can reference the offline Telugu newspapers. Best. --Sammy1339 (talk) 00:07, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Here are clippings of offline resources
Suppose there are offiline resources are available, how to show them?
Ahmed Nisar (talk) 07:15, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- Please note these issues—
- those were not speedy deletions, they followed WP:AFD, please check AFD discussins
- Where did I say, there was no reason to delete those articles? Please read the comment once again, I said minor "MoS" or style issues were not reasons to delete, but there were two critical issues notability and RS. RS and notability are very serious issues.
- you don't need to upload newspaper screenshots, just mention them and leave URL and accessdate=blank (however please make sure those sources actually exist).
- the newspaper screenshot you have uploaded may be deleted as well as copyright violation.
- I know neither Sammy, nor his intention. If you think he is stalking you, may give you a few suggestions, but note it may come back as a WP:BOOMERANG
India related articles should be reviewed by the users who are aware of Indic language resources
-- there is no such consensusSyed Naseer Ahamed was even interviewed by CIS.
— that does not make the subject notable immediately, but shows his interview has been published somewhere. He could not even wait till the references are collected.
— that's not how English Misplaced Pages works that you'll write an article now and add sources later.

Enthiran PR
Hi,Titodutta. As you would have known, I had recently taken this film article starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai to GA status and nominated it for FAC, but it was withdrwan due to WP:PUNC and MOS:LQ issues, most of which have now been resolved. Do let me know if you are interested in leaving additional comments at the article's 2nd PR. Thanks. — Ssven2 01:17, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Protecting templates
Hi, regarding this edit, I've amended it like this, because it was causing all 100 or so transcluding pages to show in Category:Misplaced Pages pages with incorrect protection templates. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:00, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

The problems with Iran is not the problem
Hello. I am enormously appreciative for all the vital work that administrators do here. However, the article remains orphaned and I've tagged it as such. The film covers a controversial subject area: yet from what I can see, there is only the Maan reference which could be considered an independent reliable source -- so I've added a refimprove tag. IMDb may not be used as a reliable source, per WP:RS/IMDB. I have tried to address WP:N and copyediting concerns. I'm trying to help this article, not pick a quarrel with an admin, believe me. But it needs work. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 14:06, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Shawn in Montreal,
(typing using my tablet, so please ignore typos etc. (if any)). Replies:
- "administrative works" -- not really. Busy schedules in RL (real life).
- "IMDb": I know about it and don't use IMDb ref. Please check article history and edits once again.
- "Orphan tag" -- that is not simple area, I feel. Let me explain-- if you do patrol or use AWB (WP:AWB), most probably you know about "auto-tag" option that adds orphan and other tags automatically. Power users like User:Bgwhite have this "auto tag" option turned off. I have similar settings as well.
when you find an orphan article, it may be off two types-- a) where you can add links to other articles (tool like this helps), b) where you just don't have any option to add any link anywhere. Shouting on a problem is fine, only if it has a solution. I don't know what to do if there is no solution (FindLink shows zero available link). I have seen attempts where users add their articles' links to "See also" section of other articles (unnecessarily) just to remove "orphan" tag. I don't know whether it solves the problem, but I don't do so. - "Notability": it is a documentary, not a feature film. Documentaries don't get much media attention like full-length films. Anyway there are a couple of news reviews. There should be some NONENG articles too. I'll check.
- "Refimprove": I can't understand it. There is only one unsourced paragraph, that too became unsourced after you removed a ref. Everything else is sourced. Plot does not need source, I think. anyway I'll try to search some non-English sources. --Tito Dutta (talk) 15:20, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- I work a great deal in the doc film area and we can't use the genre as an excuse to circumvent WP:NFILM. It either meets NFILM or it doesn't, and notable doc films do. I'd added refimprove as a hopefully less controversial way of calling attention to what I'd first raised with the notability tag: my concern isn't unsourced statements, but rather that absence of multiple independent reliable sources proving that this article does indeed meet WP:NFILM. However, there may indeed be non-English refs, I agree. Farsi, no doubt. How "independent" an Iranian outlet would be is debatable, but then of course Prof. Chomsky and this film raise that very accusation about western news sources, so that's a wash. As for the orphan tag point, I'm positive there's a film list or two to which this article could be added. best, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:54, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Did I ask you to "excuse"? --Tito Dutta (talk) 16:10, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Google is not always effective in searching English newspapers leave alone non–English ones. I am pretty sure you'll find entries such as this in culture and neighbourhood sections of many popular English dailies, particularly those in Bangalore because the movie featured there in a theatre fest which tried to showcase politically provocative content. I am not sure how much this helps with the notability issues though. Amitrochates (talk) 16:27, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- An Indy NP covering Iranian docu? It is highly suspy dear CG --Tito Dutta (talk) 16:35, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Doesn't India talk about cultural and civilizational links with Iran? Wasn't Iran the country that killed the OIC resolution on Kashmir in 1994 when Indian was in a tough spot? Isn't Iran India's link to Central Asia and isn't India building a port in Iran? If Indian newspapers won't cover Iran is not the problem, then who will? Amitrochates (talk) 16:52, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, I should also point out that this Findlink search tool appears to be rather useless, as the very first name in the cast list is Antonia Juhasz, for whom there is an article. This article could easily be de-orphaned if one cared to. But I'm personally not convinced it actually meets WP:NFILM at this point, either. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 20:30, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
