Hi Marvellous Spider-Man. I have User:Rainbow Archer/Kayla Day on my watchlist for some reason and noticed that you are listed as it's creator. Are you aware that there is already an article Kayla Day about this person? Instead of a draft for a possible "new" different article about this player, it's typically preferred to try and improve the existing article instead. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:39, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Marchjuly I wanted to create the article, but I didn't as the AFD was closed on 10th Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Kayla Day. On 16th someone else re-created the article. There was no chance of me moving it to the mainspace on 16th August. On 16th she was selected to play for main draw at US open. Thank you for the clarification. I don't think the draft is needed anymore, unless you feel the current article should not have been recreated per WP:G4. You might want to ask an administrator at WP:AN if a history merge is needed for your draft and the article so that no relevant information is lost. FWIW, I think there should be some record of the first AfD on the current article's talk page. Otherwise, you can probably nominate the draft for deletion at WP:MFD or just leave be to be deleted per WP:G13. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:07, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for your enthusiasm. It would have been helped if a) you had read the discussions at WT:NPP where a similar project has been under discussion for several weeks by experienced editors in conjunction with improvements to the Page Curation software that are being discussed with senior staff at the WMF, andwho know how to formulate RfC on such critical issues in order to obtain the most appropriate consensus.. Forgive me for saying so but I don't believe you are aware of the issues that are at stake here or that you have even read WT:NPP. b) Secondly, the VP is not the best lace for such a discussion. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:48, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

I have now added the essential fro the RfC that was already being prepared. The problem is that by offering the community multiple options, the hat collectors will vote for the solution that changes the least and continues to allow newbies and inexperienced editors to continue as before. I strongly recommend also lauching the RfC correctly at Misplaced Pages:New pages patrol/RfC for patroller right, publish it correctly, and notify personally all the users who can legitimately be notified per our policy at WP:Canvass. Best would be to cancel that RfC and start again. You can still take the credit for it. I can help you do this because we now have to save losing two years of preparatory work for something bigger that this is only one part of. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:21, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi Marvellous Spider-Man. Thank you for your comprehension. I have closed the RfC as you requested. It will take me a few hours to get the other RfC ready and start it on the page you created. We can make the proposal as joint signatories. It will only offer one choice. If they want to consider other options, they will have to go and start their own RfCs. The hardest work for us will be manually notifying everyone who has participated in related discussions. I'll explain how we can share that task, and how you can publish the new RfC correctly.
