SLOVAKIA

HI I am currently working on Slovakian vilages and I compiled the List of villages and municipalities in Slovakia. I am about half the way through I would be extremely grateful if you would help out. It would get done so much quicker and I would have motivation because at present I seem like the only one on the planet interested in mapping it out. See Kojatice for the layout. The info can be quickly retrieved from the external link. Click on the district and it will list the municipalities. Click the one you want and it will come up with loads of basic info. To start with I am just copying the first page History and Geography and adding them to the starter articles. Then I cut and paste every page -quicker and just adjust the info. Want to help out? HI super well done. I was amazed that some places weren't on there yet. I am currently working on the Presov region Presov district about half the way through the region. You can start a different district in the Region if you like - I can set one up for you so all you have to do is copy mine and change the appropriate district and map and cat and info. It literally takes me 1 minute to start one. I'll set one up for you now Ernst Stavro Blofeld 12:38, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

I habe set up Banské so to start the villages in this district just copy the text and paste it on the new one. Adjust the names and save. Then click on the external link and click VT district in the ast of Slovakia then click the right village and copy the last four lines of the top box of that page then paste it on the wikipedia page. Then type in the right info . You will need a calculator to work out population. Always list the area to 3 decimal places e.g 7.345km2 then x this by pop. density to find out population. Thisis quicker than finding the pop on the external link and is actually more accurate. You will soon get into the swing of things. All the best. Well done almost perfect. But you forgot to change history origin from 1397 to 1363 and forgot to change it to sk:Benkovce with ] at the bottom linking it to slovakian wikipedia. Other than that perfect I am impressed. You see you soon get the hang of it and can start them quickly like me. Just copy the page then retrieve the info tpye it in and save easy as that. I see you are Slovakian yourself which town are you from? It would be great if you could upload some photographs of your area. I am from Barry, Wales in Vale of Glamorgan. The picture on the main page is from my attic bedroom window. I started Llantwit Major Beach I surf there!! Hi again. I have looked at Trnávka, Dunajská Streda District but you need to category it e.g Category:Villages and municipalities in Dunajská Streda District. Also make sure municipality is spelt correctly it is a difficult one I know but it is NOT municipIality. Hey are doing terrific. And quick too. great!! In fact you are going so quickly I have set up the first village in Svidník District which needs doing next. You probably know this but if for instance the area is 10 637 725 this would be 10.638 km2 not 10.637. If it was 10 637 501 then this too would be 10.638km2 However if it was 10 637 490 then it would be 10.637km2. 5 is the middle point. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 15:45, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Why did I choose Slovakian municipalities? I happened to be reading the Slovakia article and came across the different regions and in every district in the entire country every place was in a red ink - well over 1000 articles missing from wikipedia. Beleive me mate when I started on slovakian villages I think only Bratislava and Presov had articles on wikipedia with several other towns and this was only about 3 months ago!! Geographically coverage of the country was extremely poor. No villages had ever been started this is why. I can't beleive how quick we have finished off the presov region!! The last distrcit will be Stará Ľubovňa District. I will set it up and both of us can do it later. I have set up Stará Ľubovňa District use Forbasy to copy but be careful. Some which look already done on there are disambiguation pages. You may have to list it on that page and then start the seperate page. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 11:49, 12 November 2006 (UTC) Forbasy

I have set up Bolešov for you to copy next in Ilava District. This district is small and shouldn't take much more than 10 minutes. I have seen your bold message - I personally think it looks better because it highlights where the village is. But I have ammended the bod so it is just normal .

I have sorted existing articles in Prievidza District so you can shoot through these using Bystričany to copy. I have now set up all the atarters for the region. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 17:11, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

When thes edistricts are complete we will be working on the Trnava Region starting with Dunajská Streda District using Baloň to copy. But the two districts above need completing first in the Trencin region. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 20:20, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

I have completed settingup trnava districts for you. Most of them will only take 10 minutes max. Here is the order:

• Galanta District - start using Abrahám
• Hlohovec District - start using Bojničky
• Piešťany District - start using Banka, Piešťany
• Senica District - start using Bílkove Humence
• Skalica District - start using Brodské

The final region that may take a bit of time is Zilina Region. THis is currently very under developed and I will need to start about 8 categories of the districts first before setting up the intial village. See ya later. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 12:19, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Zilina Region

Actually going thorugh Zilina it is not as bad as I thought most districts have very few villages will take hardly any time at all. When Trnava is complete please type this in in the search (on the left) : Category:Villages and municipalities in the Žilina Region. I have been setting up each village in every district but I am only got as far as Martinovce as i had to sort out loads of double villages. Please start Zilina Region alphabetically starting with Bytča District followed by Cadca District - I know where we are then . Again you can use the first village of each district as a starting point. All the best and I hope you enjoyed school today. Luckily I have two weeks leave from work. Boldfacing in articles

Hi MarkBA. Only the title of an article should be boldfaced. Please seeMisplaced Pages:Manual of Style (text formatting)#Boldface. I have gone through some of the many stubs you have created removing the boldfacing from other words in the introduction but wow you have created a lot of stubs!. Stop adding articles until you fix sort keys

I'm going to ask nicely this time around. Will you and User:Ernst Stavro Blofeld (talk) please stop your coordinated, headlong rush to add new stubs, immediately. Then go back and fix all of them you have added which are improperly sorted in their categories, by adding the proper sort key in accordance with Misplaced Pages:Categorization and Misplaced Pages:Naming conventions (standard letters with diacritics) and various other guidelines spread out throughout the Misplaced Pages namespace. Don't forget to fix the categories you have added, so that they sort properly in their parent categories. Then you can resume the adding of new stubs. Gene Nygaard 15:01, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
