A Bengali American (Bengali: বাঙ্গালী মার্কিন Bangali Markin) is a United States citizen or resident of Bengali ethnic, cultural and linguistic heritage and identity. They trace their ancestry to the historic ethno-linguistic region of Bengal in South Asia (now divided between Bangladesh and India).
