Hadrut (Template:Lang-hy) is a town in the Khojavend District of Azerbaijan.
History
After the creation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast within Azerbaijan SSR, Hadrut was made the centre of the Hadrut District of the autonomous oblast of Azerbaijan. Following the Nagorno-Karabakh War the city became part of the Hadrut Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh.
During the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, heavy fighting took place in Hadrut. Azerbaijani authorities stated that Hadrut had been captured on 9 October. This was confirmed later with videos released by Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence.
