In fact that editor has repeatedly ''refused'' to advise me of what the problem is. I'm surprised to hear that editor is an experienced editor as I had not seen need to check. Right off attempting to inject FRINGE political bias and going on to repeatedly demand I debate positions I don't hold is strange for an ''experienced'' editor. I have said several times that we can remove and change any parts of my added text and asked how he wants to do that: He still refuses to reply instead insisting on these debates. ] (]) 31 January 2022 (UTC)

:You still don't understand. The default assumption is that everything is copyrighted. Under current copyright law, a copyright is automatically created in almost all circumstances when a work is created. There are three ways we can use a creative work in Misplaced Pages:
<div style="flex: 1 0 20em">
::1. If it is in the public domain. This is the case for works that are old enough for copyright to have expired, or if it was created by a United States agency or one of its employees in the course of his or her duties. That does not apply in this case.
] | |||
::2. The work has been licensed in a way that allows anyone to reproduce it for any purpose. That requires something like the GFDL license or the CC-BY-SA license, for which there is no evidence in this case that the artist has so released his work.
::3. The English Misplaced Pages allows limited "fair use" of copyrighted work, but the "fair use" must be justified. See the Misplaced Pages policy at ] and ] for discussion of the restrictions on "fair use".

Dunedin, FL
I represent the Dunedin History Museum and the city historian. The reference link(s) to the first land grant and the incorporation of the city is from an old incorrect city of Dunedin page. The dates 1852 and 1925 are incorrect for the first land grant and the founding of the city.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.96.115.241 (talk • contribs) 15:10 4 August 2021 (UTC)
Arecaceae
In fact that editor has repeatedly refused to advise me of what the problem is. I'm surprised to hear that editor is an experienced editor as I had not seen need to check. Right off attempting to inject FRINGE political bias and going on to repeatedly demand I debate positions I don't hold is strange for an experienced editor. I have said several times that we can remove and change any parts of my added text and asked how he wants to do that: He still refuses to reply instead insisting on these debates. Administrators' newsletter – January 2025
News and updates for administrators from the past month (December 2024).
- Following an RFC, Misplaced Pages:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
- A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.
- The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.
- Following the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: CaptainEek, Daniel, Elli, KrakatoaKatie, Liz, Primefac, ScottishFinnishRadish, Theleekycauldron, Worm That Turned.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in January 2025 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles and redirects in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!

About 1851 Atlantic hurricane season revert
Howdy! I appreciate your courteous assistance. I'm assuming the revert was due to my mentioning of the "Accumulated Cyclone Energy" total for the season. I thought - after recently looking into WP:RS - that since the information was easily accessible / provable via going to the linked Misplaced Pages, it was acceptable. If that's not the case, should I source the needed sources from the other page? Best regards, Uhdebbie 19:19, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Per WP:USERG, Misplaced Pages is not a reliable source. That means, cite any reliable source with thye content, do not rely of a source being cited in another article. Also, given how uncertain ACE totals are for 19th-century hurricane seasons, I don't see the utility of including them, but that is not something I'll fight over. Donald Albury 23:01, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- I understand, and it was a confusion on my part. ACE totals are indeed quite inaccurate prior to the advent of the Satellite era. Should our community decide to reference these figures, I will ensure to note their inaccuracies. With all said, I believe this conversation is ready for clearing. In gratitude, Uhdebbie (talk) 01:27, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
