A simpler point is that the article has WP:MAINSTREAM WP:Academic bias, meaning WP:GOODBIAS.

And "feminist" is close to meaningless, if you don't specify what kind of feminism it is (e.g. Marxist, liberal, conservative).

I think that this article MUST be biased. Firstly, the science simply doesn't say that regular masturbation has no impact on masculinity as this article implies it does. Secondly I believe in science - but you don't even need it for this topic: as a man, you can see for yourself that you get better numbers lifting in the gym and that women like you more when you haven't masturbated for a few weeks. Misplaced Pages does not go by lived experience. It goes by mainstream WP:RS.

The idea that masturbation produces illness is itself a symptom of mental illness or religious fanaticism.

And no, masturbation does not deplete testosterone. If anything, it increases the level of testosterone.

A man urinates on average 374 nmol testosterone during 24 hours. The average seminal testosterone level is 47 ng/100 mL. So during 24 hours an average man urinates the testosterone from 65653 ejaculations.

Alchemical sublimation of unused sperm cells is mystical idiocy. It is literally mysticism (i.e. Taoist alchemy). And alchemy is a pseudoscience.

These are some of the reasons why real scientists don't take NoFap seriously. Psychiatrists don't deny that some people lack self-control when masturbating, but they don't think that masturbation or porn are causes of illnesses. "Masturbation abstinence practices have returned to the USA in the form of semen retention communities. Followers on one of these male, anti-masturbation forums, “NoFap,” on Reddit (denoted “r/NoFap”), have engaged in homicidal behaviors that appear to be linked to these sexual beliefs and practices. This study uses a systematic search on r/NoFap and two control forums (r/pornfree, and r/stopdrinking) to define a corpus of violent content. The study's goals were to describe the nature of threats on r/NoFap and suggest whether the violence might be attributable to sexual deprivation or false beliefs that non-sexual targets caused their violent urges. Of the 421 violent posts identified from September 2011 to September 2022, r/NoFap contained the majority (94.3%). Violent threats on r/NoFap mostly targeted pornographers, women, scientists, specific persons, or any person (i.e. homicidal “rage”). Violent threats against r/NoFap’s own followers were growing most quickly. Violent posts were well-supported with upvotes by other followers in r/NoFap. Okay, coming back to this matter: the medical effects of NoFap cannot be discussed due to lacking WP:MEDRS-compliant sources to WP:V such claims. Same applies to antagonistic narcissism producing the belief one is addicted to porn (e.g. PubMed does not have many papers thereupon, so it's unlikely there will be a systematic review indexed for MEDLINE about that). The social-political effects of NoFap are not under such stringent sourcing requirements, so these can be discussed more easily, but I do not endorse repeating the same claims over and over (even if in different words). tgeorgescu (talk) 20:55, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

Biased Article

A mysterious group of users seems to be taking care of this article, preventing any further editing favouring no fap. User Tgioscu seems to be particularly omnipresent in this article, entering an editing war with anyone deleting or changing the current information.

Articles protected, without any vandalism at all. The bias present finds a loophole in Misplaced Pages's rules, since they add defamatory info that's also cited and backed, apparently with people very cult with Misplaced Pages's parameters.

Bias in question makes the article excessively show and back the movement against accusations. Although the sources effectively exist, they are not necessarily true according to the wiki's rules and also they are presented in a way that makes perfectly valid an conflict of interest hidden in Misplaced Pages's orthodoxy.

A new user may come wishing to learn about the movement in a neutral manner as any encyclopedia would be. However, given that the article is subtly build to portrait the movement or group with any pejorative term, including misogynistic, anti Semite, religious fundamentalist, far right wing, conspiracy theorists, although not an explicit tagger, the implications present manage make to have this classification.

Lastly, the scientific validity is build to portrait masturbation as non harmful and anyone opposing it as pseudoscientists. Starting since sexually it has no clear reproductive purpose. Omits studies and possible valid sources stating any harms, causality, correlations and damages from masturbation and porn. Then so, the global amount of sourcing may be a thing, but in this article, the perjury terms are disproportionately bigger against any contrary statement. There more things to point, however, not yet doing that.

I wanna warn of anyone reading this built article of this information and to leave clear proof of it, not breaking any rule of Misplaced Pages while so. I declare it biased and willing to discuss it against anyone disagreeing. Wakatetiwa (talk) 20:33, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

@Wakatetiwa, A mysterious group of users seems to be taking care of this article Tgioscu seems to be particularly omnipresent or, more likely than a WP:CABAL, a lot of people have this highly vandalised article on their Watchlist, with tgeorgescu simply responding before other editors (and in a way that they mostly agree with). a loophole in Misplaced Pages's rules, since they add defamatory info that's also cited and backed Almost like that's not a loophole, but just the way policy is defined—to prefer WP:Reliable sources over editor's own feelings (see WP:NPOV generally and WP:DUE, WP:FRINGE, WP:BALANCE, WP:FALSEBALANCE specifically). Most of the rest of this wall of text can be answered with a request for you to give us some equally reliable sources that present your preferred point of view. And lastly, specify with regard to build portrait masturbation as non harmful and as pseudoscientists studies stating any harms, as a medical claim, you'll need to provide WP:MEDRES-compliant sources for that.
