hi, You should find better sources to those claims, "Lancia’s collaboration with Saab also resulted in the development of new rust proofing techniques." this says nothing that it "had better resistance to rust than most Italian cars" or "it is rumoured that Saab required better rust resistance from Lancia so it would be more suitable for the harsher climate in Sweden in Norway.
