==Rightful Editing on Avenged Sevenfold contd.==
{{semi-retired}} | |||
Exactly right. They are not sourced. So who's point of view is it that is now seemingly "default" on that page? Somebody had to list their own point of view for those genres to be displayed. As for me, I am staying as neutral as possible. There is no bias. But it's like saying the sky is green and the grass is blue. I will not attempt to edit the page any further. I was just trying to make things right. Apparently somebody else's "point of view" is posing problematic. That is all. —Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 02:36, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
==I'm back== | |||
As for my editing of Avenged Sevenfold's page it is rightfully so. They in no way shape or form classify as any sort of metal or metalcore (especially). At least currently. You mentioned sources. Why undo my own edit when the previous ones were unsourced as well? If you try to classify Avenged Sevenfold using the characteristics listed of heavy metal and metalcore it is obvious that they will not fit the mould.
But in a reduced capacity. I don't really have a role anymore and I definitely won't be making a conscious effort to involve myself deeper with Misplaced Pages. I've moved on in my life but I still have a fondness for Misplaced Pages and some of its users. ]] 21:50, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
:Welcome back! ]] 04:47, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
As for my edit on City of Evil, it is also rightly done. The source that was used for the first two (and originally) listed genres also includes the genres I added in right next to the other two. So I used the exact same source. —Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 21:46, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Thought I would discuss this first rather than just revert, because really, it's not a big issue. I agree with the hidden note that because of the amount of bands the members have been a member of/contributed to, it should be limited. Yes, I know I've been a bit vulgar, but none of the IPs want to discuss the individual articles. I posted on the talk pages (a month ago). Trying to contact the individual IPs won't either.
At the first point, why am I "becoming a bother"? They should need verifiable sources to add information; I shouldn't require that to take it away. "The edit history supports consensus." It didn't until about a month ago. When people started getting the idea that all post-'90 Megadeth albums were ], then they all silently decided that was right. No discussion first. I would like a discussion over this matter, though I suggest going to the talk page for these individual albums.
And the moment the main ] page has its semi-protection expire, they'll come back to that page. It's a bit hard trying to contact random IPs that change once a week. ] (]) 15:12, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

But in a reduced capacity. I don't really have a role anymore and I definitely won't be making a conscious effort to involve myself deeper with Misplaced Pages. I've moved on in my life but I still have a fondness for Misplaced Pages and some of its users. Scarian 21:50, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Wiki is still overpopulated with completely useless whiners (like every single editor who ever complained about you :-D ) Stick around for a while....the Wik needs you and more like you. Frozen in solid on the East Coast all Winter is giving me the blues. And now I read that Gary Moore has died. So I will be in Moore blues for a while to come. No UK trips in my future. Maybe someday. Foo Fighters
Thought I would discuss this first rather than just revert, because really, it's not a big issue. I agree with the hidden note that because of the amount of bands the members have been a member of/contributed to, it should be limited. At the same time though, surely Them Crooked Vultures and Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders are directly related, even with only one member in common? Both were formed while Foos were active and feature current members. The Coattail Riders have released 2 albums, while TCV plan on releasing a second. , , ,
Also, I couldn't find anything about the note on the talk page (archives included). I'm assuming it was added due to editors constantly adding groups like Queens of the Stone Age, Scream, etc? I don't think the note should apply to the aforementioned band's, though that's just my opinion. What do you think? :) HrZ (talk) 14:59, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- I think an old user added it years ago, I can't even remember. Chris-something... He used to be really active on the Nirvana band page. Um... I would recommend bringing this to the talk page for a wider consensus. To be honest, I've just been trying to stick to the note, although if you think a differently worded one would make more sense, feel free to suggest. Cheers for your message, bro. Scarian 09:29, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ah ok, was going to do that, but thought I would ask yourselfm incase I missed anything on the talk page about the note. Thanks for the reply! HrZ (talk) 13:48, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

User Fasttimes68 is still causing problems with the article on Stephanie Adams
If you visit the Stephanie Adams discussion page, you will see people asking him to stop, but he still insists upon causing trouble.

Here are a few additional links as well:
He and user Hoary were the two who caused problem with that article for over five years, which is why it is currently being redirected, yet it's still an issue to them, even with only one sentence in the article. Major conflict of interest going on... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.183.68.72 (talk) 15:13, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity
Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
