Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as {{para|caption|{{var|Some image caption}}}}. Ways to improve Richard Saucedo

Hi, I'm PamD. Thanks for creating Richard Saucedo!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please expand this one-sentence stub: the source you have given gives plenty to work from. Really "X is an American composer" is not adequate for an encyclopedia article - but it's a start, thanks.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Note

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Misplaced Pages. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorized discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorized for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Lead section hidden note

On June 11 you added a hidden note (amended June 14) to the lead section of Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections after closing the related RFC. I appreciate that you added the note, but as edit warring commenced soon after you adding the note and as the RFC has been partially overridden by a new consensus, it soon became obsolete. Would you kindly remove the note? Thanks. Politrukki (talk) 22:33, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

@Politrukki: Can you point me to the consensus that overrides my note? THE DIAZ 00:20, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Inappropriate WP:HIDDEN text can be removed at any time by any editor. Local consensus does not trump WP:NPOV and, as Politrukki has pointed out, WP:CCC and WP:OWN apply. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 00:36, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
Examples of cases where an editor has closed a discussion, declared consensus, and no editor has challenged the consensus can be seen here and here.
What should we do when someone adds new content to the lead – let's say that it's something which violates policies such as OR, V, or NPOV – should we just obey the note and dismiss these policies? Most regulars will probably just ignore the note, but will the note prevent non-regulars from doing improvements? Politrukki (talk) 16:37, 10 August 2017 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Template:Hispanic American name has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Template:Hispanic American name. Thanks! KSFT 14:01, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Template:Hispanic American name (August 13)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Dodger67 was: Thank you for your submission, but the subject of this article already exists in Misplaced Pages. You can find it and improve it at Template:Spanish name instead. The comment the reviewer left was: "Spanish" refers to the language, not the country, so this is redundant. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 21:03, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Post on Jared Taylor

Hey, I promise, I'm not threatening here, but I think your statement on the Jared Taylor RfC could easily interpreted as a legal threat. If you think something is libelous, you should follow the directions at the bottom of the WP:LIBEL and email the Wikimedia foundation. For the moment, you should probably strike the comments about legal issues, and just focus on the core content policies. Nblund 22:28, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Burnette Chapel Church shooting

The article Burnette Chapel Church shooting has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Misplaced Pages is not a news source.

While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 18:23, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

Cannibalism

Thank you for your edits to Cannibalism. Ironically, the page seems to have devoured its sibling article Cannibalism (zoology). Is this a Misplaced Pages:Cut and paste move? If so, you may want to look at the steps suggested there for sorting out the page history and attribution, which will probably need admin help. Thanks, Certes (talk) 14:44, 31 October 2017 (UTC)

Ditto Cannibalism in humansHuman cannibalism. It is unfortunate that the privileges we non-admins have allow us to do things the wrong way but not the right way. Certes (talk) 14:50, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
I really think it might be better if you simply reverted your own edits on these pages asap and started again, this time renaming pages, rather than simply cut/pasting, which destroys all the edit histories right back to 2002. Nick Moyes (talk) 21:09, 31 October 2017 (UTC)

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, The Diaz. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

Your draft article, Draft:Template:Hispanic American name

Hello, The Diaz. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Template:Hispanic American name".

In accordance with our policy that Misplaced Pages is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Misplaced Pages, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 22:01, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

Nomination of Moulton Falls bridge incident for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Moulton Falls bridge incident is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Moulton Falls bridge incident until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Fram (talk) 09:16, 20 August 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Jacksonville Landing shooting

Notice

The article Jacksonville Landing shooting has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. Only 3 people+the perpetrator dead, even for the rest of the world that wouldn't make it a major shooting, and in the US it's just a regular minor incident.

Openlydialectic (talk) 19:32, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

Mollie

Please stop trying to add this stuff to the article's lede. There's no WP:CONSENSUS for it, it doesn't accurately summarize the article text and it's UNDUE, since we don't label other murder suspects as "immigrant" or "non-immigrant" (hence it's POV). Volunteer Marek 14:30, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

List of nicknames of Presidents of the United States

Hi there, re: this change about Donald Trump the 45th president, you removed the claim that "45" is used "pejoratively ... to avoid saying his name". Your justification was that the claim was unsourced, but it is sourced here, and that link appears at the top of the entry, so your justification is not properly established. My advice to you would be to maybe self-revert and open a discussion on the article's talk page to try to achieve consensus for inclusion. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:17, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: Know Your Meme, a site much like Misplaced Pages where anyone can contribute (albeit its moderation), could be considered a potentially unreliable source and consensus seems to be against it on the reliable sources noticeboard. I think it would be more advisable to build consensus to include that source for the claim. THE DIAZ 19:04, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Théodore Monod. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Richard B. Spencer, the article in question, is subject to a 1RR restriction, and you've now reverted three times in less than 24 hours. I will ask you politely to self-revert; otherwise, I'll file an enforcement request. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 16:14, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring. The thread is Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:The_Diaz reported by User:NorthBySouthBaranof (Result: ). Thank you. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 16:19, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

Block

You have been blocked for 24 hours for violating the one revert rule on an article which is subject to American politics 2 discretionary sanctions. The way to achieve consensus is on the article talk page, not through edit warring. Please be more careful in the future. Thanks. El_C 23:29, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

RfC at Richard B. Spencer

Hello The Diaz. You are the person who originally opened the RfC at Talk:Richard B. Spencer#RfC: Neo-Nazi label. If we just count the votes, it seems to me that the thread is leaning toward inclusion of the 'neo-Nazi' phrase in the article. Do you have an opinion on how to judge the verdict of the RfC? Or is some other option possible? The 'neo-Nazi' question is being discussed on my talk page at User talk:EdJohnston#Bad protection request. Thanks for any opinion, EdJohnston (talk) 01:26, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

@EdJohnston: I can't close it since I'm heavily involved with the page, but I should remind you that the validity of each side's arguments outweighs the preponderance of votes. THE DIAZ 03:54, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
I was hoping for a comment from you about the validity of each side's arguments. My guess is that a lot of people are concerned about whitewashing, so they want to keep 'neo-Nazi' to show they are taking a firm line. Is there any alternative that would be seen as strong enough but avoids 'Nazi', assuming there is some wording that could be seen as a compromise? EdJohnston (talk) 04:17, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
@EdJohnston: Personally, I like Nblund's idea of labeling him as a "a white supremacist with close ties to the Neo-Nazi and white nationalist movements" (or similar wording). It seems that many other editors are agreeing with that too. THE DIAZ 04:35, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
