Spider-Man 3 will be one of the sequels to the popular 2002 film Spider-Man and is planned for an American release on May 4th, 2007.

Possible villains

In summer 2004, Yahoo! Movies held a poll on who the villain(s) in the movie should be. The results are as follows: Venom (61%), Carnage (15%), Scorpion (5%), The Sandman (4%), Electro (3%), Mysterio (3%), Kraven The Hunter (2%), The Rhino (2%), Man-Wolf (1%).

Carnage, who is spawned off Venom, is unlikely to appear in the movie without Venom, making the two an ideal combination if the sequel were to have two villains. From what we saw at the end of Spider-Man 2, Harry Osborn may return to be the second Green Goblin as he did in the comics. The human halves of Lizard (Dr. Curt Connors, Peter's college professor) and Man-Wolf (John Jameson, Mary Jane's fiancé) also both appeared in the second movie (Spider-Man 2).
