Robert Battey Troutman Jr. (February 20, 1918 – July 30, 1991) was an American lawyer from Atlanta. He attended Harvard Law School, where he was roommates with Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. After a time working for his father's law firm, Troutman, Sams, Schroder and Lockerman (later Troutman Pepper), he was later an aide to John F. Kennedy. Troutman served as Southern campaign manager for Kennedy's 1960 presidential campaign and, after the election, was appointed to the President's Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity, the forerunner to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
