Speedy deletion of Template:Clerk-Note-S
A tag has been placed on Template:Clerk-Note-S requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

I have. I don't think you should have protected at all, because the content was changing with each edit. Protection has failed to resolve lengthy disputes relating to this article before.
