- Thanks for letting me know your comments/concerns. If you are not aware, I am a 'so called RFA regular' since very long time, which means I regularly comment (support/oppose/b neutral) in the RFAs of admin hopefuls. The first thing I do whenever a new RFA comes is that I wish them good luck on their talk page, because I believe every candidature comes on the RFA arena for the betterment of Misplaced Pages and is a right candidate to win the RFA. If I am unfamiliar with the person personally or never interacted earlier with the candidate , I wait for comments for others. Meanwhile I research on the merits and demerits of the person, checking his edit history and his interactions with other Wikipedians. The first wishes I give to them may be a copy paste always ( because I have nothing else to say then) but my comments at the RFA are subjective to merits and demerits of the candidate ( you may check the RFAs I commented) . I dont support a person just because he may be likely to win. I stay neutral or oppose if I have my own concerns. And finally when the RFA ends successfully , I congratulate them on their well deserved adminship. In some cases, when the failed candidate feels dishearted by the outcome , I try to console and cheer them up to continue their valuable contributions to Misplaced Pages. I hope I have tried to explain what I generally do. Finally this is my style of doing ! If I am attempting any WP policy violation , you may raise it at ANI :). If you still have questions or concerns , kindly let me know, I will be happy to discuss it with you.. Thanks -- Tinu Cherian - 04:45, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Details of my block
Hello! I'll explain you everything what was happened. I uploaded the image from this page as a fair use. First, it did mislead me when I saw the text "This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License" at the bottom of the page. Then, I realized that it was a fair use. The image having a source and a license, the only thing that was missing was a fair use rationale. At this step I didn't know what to do, but consulting Misplaced Pages help I found the template {{Non-free fair use rationale}}. So I added. On the propose for the use of this image, I wrote that it was for illustrating the movie The Mummy Returns. Yamla said that this image didn't show anything about the movie, so nominating the image as for fair use rationale dispute. I did link the image in the article about the movie and articles of Patricia Velásquez and Arnold Vosloo, appearing in this image. I may understood his opinion by removing the image of those biographical articles but I didn't understand why he removed it from the article The Mummy Returns. So I undid his edits and for that I was claimed as a vandal and blocked for violating the rules. Now, I saw that in article section The Mummy Returns#Cast has an image similar with the image I uploaded and, by checking Yamla's contributions, I found the Image:Kareena in K3G.jpg and the Image:Kapoor JabWeMet.jpg, which are movie screenshots, linked to the biographical article Kareena Kapoor. And thinking that I was blocked for using a fair use image on a biographical article and reverting removal edits. The uploader of those images wasn't block and you can see at Image:Kareena in K3G.jpg that Yamla reverted a vandalism edited of a copyrighted image for a biographical article, the reasons he used to block me at February 2008. It may passed awhile but seeing this I think that there wasn't a reason to block. Even I remember Yamla saying that I was a copyright violator, even on Commons. I just want to clear my "name". Do you understand that? I hope that I had explain all things to you! Regards, Sdrtirs (talk) 14:29, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I saw that you sent me this message: May be if you wish to tell me what had happened, I can try to help out to know what went wrong. Bot issue
See duplicate tagging on Talk:Abraham Mazumdar. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 22:20, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing out. I had disabled autosave and was experimenting something on Regexp tester but didnt realise it actually saved it.
OK, anyways let me tell my issue is , I was able to add music=yes with advanced setting of 'Find and replace' for {{WP India}} for banners in single line like
{{WP India|class|kerala=yes}}
like
Find : {{WP India(.*?)}}
Replace: {{WP India$1|music=yes}}
But I am not able to do for banners in multiple lines like
{{WP India
|class=
|kerala
}}
I tried using
Find : {{WP India\n(.*?)}}
and many combinations , but it didnot work . Any idea how to do this ? -- Tinu Cherian - 02:53, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry Tinu...Regexes is on my to-do list of things to learn. :) I will add music parameter to the Kingboyk's plugin. That should help you out. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 01:01, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
. I just needed to Tick the box named SingleLine in the find & replace screen. Got the answer from WT:AWB -- Tinu Cherian - 04:50, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
- Great! Thanks for letting me know. It will be use for me next time. May be there should be a place to consolidate these regex hacks. There was one that updates the class parameter across all the banners on the talk page. That was cool too. Regards, Ganeshk (talk)
- Do you mean like this ? See my latest BRFA. It basically updates |class for a particular banner (one at a time) based on the highest |class= of other already assessed banners on the talk page -- Tinu Cherian - 11:50, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, that's one I was talking about. Please post that code somewhere for future reference. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 03:36, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Roll call and Coordinator nominationsIt's that time of year again – we're wiping everyone's name off of the active members list and doing a project roll call. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Films participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:FILM editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. You can also add your name to any of our many task forces!
It's also time to start the WikiProject Films coordinator selection process! Another Mariners WP tagging request.
Can you go through all of Category:Seattle Mariners (incl sub-cats, which I have made sure are relevant) with {{WikiProject Seattle Mariners|class=|importance=}}
if the Mariners WP template is not already present. Also if possible can you tag the cat's themselves with {{WikiProject Seattle Mariners|class=Category}}
? Thanks! --Admrb♉ltz (t • c • log) 15:15, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Smiles
A Prodigy has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Cheers, and happy editing!
Smile at others by adding {{subst:Smile}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
Just managed to get rollback. Thought this would be a suitable way of celebrating, by smiling at my adopter ^_^. A Prodigy ~In Pursuit of Perfection~ 18:53, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the cookie in reply :). A Prodigy ~In Pursuit of Perfection~ 16:13, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou !!!
Thankyou for the Barnstar.........
Actually, I had started editing these 2 articles right from the beginning. I think the Image issue has been resolved after the non free use rationale. Featuring Mangalorean Catholics won't be easy. Although, I'll try to get it to GA status. In between I was also interested in Christianity in India. But Annons have destroyed the article. If you have any good Christian article in mind, then we can try to elevate it to FA status. Kensplanet (talk) 12:49, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think {{PD-India}} can be used there. Since, I am not sure the Image was published before 1948. It's quite possible that the Image may be of 50's or 60's since he died in 1979. Thanks, Kensplanet (talk) 13:57, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Role of the adoptee
I was wondering, what am I actually meant to do as an adoptee? I know many people expect adoptees to just turn to their adopters when the need for explanations arises, but is there more to it? As an adopter, I have seen another user, Agrippa (I think) set specific tasks for his adoptees. Do you do something similar? I suppose the object of these tasks is to just get the adoptee more familiar with various aspects of Misplaced Pages. Just wondering, because we havn't really been in contact much as of late. SAVE POK ARTICLE
please save POK article from deletion Pakistan occupied Kashmir article has been posted for deletion..i have made the following appeal there:
- do not delete : PLEASE allow editing to take place in this article so that it gets balanced; disabling editing and then crying unbalanced is hypocrisy!!!..As we all know we didn't delete european union article just because there was an "england" article or "france" article or "germany" article (which are part of EU nevertheless) ... Similarly we did not destroy soviet union article just because it is divided into 15 parts..Further it is very very clear that POK is not the same as "azad k ONLY" or "northern areas ONLY" as pok also includes trans karakoram tract, gilgit and baltistan (from 1947 till now)...pok term is used by most if not all non pakistan media.so ip and soman contention invalid.. i think it is not "fork" since contents are not identical, verifiable, has reliable sources and differs from the other articles like "trans-Karakoram tract" or "Northern Areas" (at the maximum, there is a passing reference in the summary(if this is considered fork) style with redirect links to sub regions).So, i am opposing this high handed move based on ignorance..rather i suggest that those who suggest it as non neutral contribute towards making this neutral, if it is not already neutral..pahari sahib's contention of inflammatory not substantiated both in talk page of pok or otherwise..so DO NOT DELETEKashmircloud (talk) 10:39, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
if you can improve this article or if you believe that the article can be improved by removing the edit ban(say, exampple: semiprotect) and if you also concur that pok not equal to ajk, please help in saving this article from deleters with nationalistic (pakistani)/ religious(islamist?) motives for POK article removal(example: User:paharisahib is pakistani)..please save the POKarticle...Kashmircloud (talk) 10:39, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
