***Before removing merger tag it is placed on talk page that Arba'een Pilgrimage is commemorated only in Karbala (Iraq) whereas Arbaeen is commemorated in the different countries and numerous cities of the world. For further reference, if WP has a page of Atom, then why there is need of pages for Proton and Electron? We have (In brief) for specific info and excerpting point to point knowledge. ] (]) 18:42, 24 January 2017 (UTC) | ***Before removing merger tag it is placed on talk page that Arba'een Pilgrimage is commemorated only in Karbala (Iraq) whereas Arbaeen is commemorated in the different countries and numerous cities of the world. ****]: I wonder if you have made a search on it. There are many reliable sources on this '''religious gathering'''. ] is a broader subject which includes the our subject of discussion, too. Arba'een pilgrimage is not a day, rather it's an action done on the day of Arba'een! However you could add your voice to the old discussion instead of opening another section. It might be confusing for others. --] ] 20:56, 24 January 2017 (UTC) |

Merge
This article is very similar in scope to Arba'een. The two articles need to explain why they are different to each other or they need to be merged. The articles even share the same picture. This should have been spotted before this went to the main page. Victuallers (talk) 12:10, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose: I think you are misunderstanding two different concepts. Arba'een is a day which is of importance for Muslims specially Shia Muslims. While Arba'een Pilgrimage refers to the act of going to Karbala on foot on this day. The pilgrimage (which is done on foot), as the world's largest annual gathering, is notable enough to have its own page. There are various sources dedicated to this specific thing and not on the "day". Arba'een needs to be trimmed so that the repeated materials are deleted. Mhhossein (talk) 13:41, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Proposed merge with Arba'een
About the same topic, but see the above discussion for other comments. Emir of Misplaced Pages (talk) 16:51, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
