You wrote that when re-including a photo you uploaded when another (better) image from the same event is already in the article. I'm sure you're aware that wrestling-related images of Punk from 2014 to 2021 are sparse ''anywhere'' because his wrestling career was almost nonexistent then. The prose chronicling this period is also short, so this "balance" rationale would be more understandable if the photo you're proposing isn't from an already-represented year and the prose was much more extensive, especially since you're not proposing to expand the prose for "balance". CommentThis professional wrestling article is a frequent target for editors to add a week-by-week synopsis of storyline events, unconfirmed information, rumors, and other content inappropriate to an encyclopedic article. Please make sure to familiarize yourself with what Misplaced Pages is not, and consider whether your additions to this article will serve to make the article larger and harder to edit for style, clarity, and grammar.

Adding his appearance on Jimmy Fallon (18th June 2012) and how it is his first appearance on any kind of talk show.

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made.

"Relationship" Rumors / Unsubstantiated / Possibly Fabricated /Pointless Crap / Non-Facts

While it appears that they have some kind of friendship, neither has ever claimed that it was more than that. Also Matt Hardy's comment was that they were not in a relationship not that they had been but it is now over. Whoever wrote this article is greatly stretching the source to say something it doesn't. Also the sun is by no means a reliable source. It's a gossip site. TMZ is more reliable. I work for the AP. We view the sun as a punch line.

Shannon and Tracy are unsubstantiated rumors and should be removed from the article. Beth has claimed that Punk was joking with the interviewer. She claims that she and Punk never dated and she was already with Edge at the time of the alleged relationship. It has already been removed from her Misplaced Pages page.

Glad to see the Beth part removed, but I think you might have stopped halfway. Neither Punk nor Lita have ever confirmed to be more than friends. Same can be said for Matt Hardy.

Also, Punk has always denied dating women he has worked with. More editing is required. This is an article for verifiable information only.

Not sure why these changes have not been made yet. Even if all of these supposed relationships, other than AJ of course, were real, they do not merit a mention in the article as they are insignificant.

Interim Champion

Says interim champion will be crowned at Forbidden Door but should say that Jon Moxley won the interim championship at Forbidden Door 2600:2B00:8238:F800:A464:B8F5:BFFE:2D79 (talk) 03:46, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Punk's "Legacy"

Should there be anything added to legacy about the negative aspect of his effect in pro wrestling? There is a growing sentiment that his grudge holding and inability to mend fences with people he doesn't like or who he views have wronged him, along with the child-like response to a lot of situations that don't go his way are not tainting, but definitely colouring his legacy as a pro wrestler. Vince193 (talk) 17:04, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

Are there any sources that have widely reported this sentiment? — Czello 17:24, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

Real World Title?

Should the “Real World Championship” be added to his title list? It’s basically the same concept as the FTW Championship and that gets listed for everyone in their championships section BadGirlRyleigh (talk) 04:50, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

No, for two reasons. First, unlike the FTW title, AEW don't list it on their site - it has even less recognition than the FTW title. Secondly, it wouldn't count as a separate title reign - Punk is claiming it's a continuation of his 2nd title run. — Czello 17:04, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Recent changes

McPhail, will you please discuss future reversions rather than keep reverting and providing insufficient explanations?

The photo referenced here is not Punk with the world title, so how is it appropriate for the championships section to include an image of the "real world title" when the discussion above lists compelling reasons to oppose including the "title" itself?

You wrote that the article needs "images of Punk post-2014" for "balance" when another (better) image from the event you're trying to illustrate is already present. I'm sure you're aware that wrestling-related images of Punk from 2014 to 2021 are sparse anywhere because his wrestling career was almost nonexistent then. The prose chronicling this period is also short, so this "balance" rationale would be more understandable if the photo you're proposing isn't from an already-represented year and the prose was much more extensive, especially since you're not proposing to expand the prose for "balance".

On the removal of a "speculative assertion", the cited report was published around the time of Punk's Collision appearance, so even the source is fully aware that Punk did not in fact leave AEW. Vulture is generally reliable per WP:RSP and not wrestling-centric, so a mainstream source's coverage of this claim makes it even more due. Wins get superseded by losses. Should wins be excluded? Claims surrounding Punk's impending WWE departure in 2011 were superseded by the departure not happening, so shouldn't those claims be removed as well?

I look forward to discussing further should you choose to revert. Thanks. KyleJoan 01:38, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
