Television episode"My Bed Banter & Beyond" |
---|
"My Bed Banter & Beyond" is the 15th episode of the American sitcom Scrubs. It originally aired as Episode 15 of Season 1 on February 5, 2002.
Episode overview
The day starts for J.D. waking up and remembering that last night he had slept with his best friend Elliot. As they are both off that day they decide to just stay in bed all day and have sex.
The episode then cuts forward in time to the next day where the hospital staff have been volunteered for a psychologist's research project by Dr. Kelso. The episode cuts back and forward between that first day and the interviews with the main characters. Dr. Cox's interview is the most significant as he comments on relationships and so it fits in well with J.D. and Elliot. J.D. and Elliot end up fighting and at each other's throats over little things, and so the episode ends with them breaking up after two weeks of being together. Template:Endspoiler

Trivia
- After having sex with Elliot, J.D. claims that he hasn't had sex since med school. This is false, however, since he had sex with Jordan in an earlier episode.
- The episode as filmed was too long to air and was severely cut down. It is restored to its full length (28 minutes, as opposed to 22) in the DVD release.
Featured music
- "Ever Fallen in Love?" by Buzzcocks
- "Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba (as sung by J.D.'s inner monologue)
