The episode then cuts forward in time to the next day where the hospital staff have been volunteered for a psychologist's research project by ]. The episode cuts back and forward between that first day and the interviews with the main characters. ]'s interview is the most significant as he comments on relationships and so it fits in well with J.D. and Elliot. J.D. and Elliot end up fighting and at each other's throats over little things, and so the episode ends with them breaking up after two weeks of being together.

The episode cuts back and forward between that first day and the interviews with the main characters. Dr. Cox's interview is the most significant as he comments on relationships and so it fits in well with J.D. and Elliot. J.D. and Elliot end up fighting and at each other's throats over little things, and so the episode ends with them breaking up after two weeks of being together.
Trivia
After having sex with Elliot, J.D. claims that he hasn't had sex since med school. This is false, however, since he had sex with Jordan in an earlier episode.
The episode as filmed was too long to air and was severely cut down. It is restored to its full length (28 minutes, as opposed to 22) in the DVD release.
