Biff Rose is an American singer/songwriter.


Paul 'Biff' Rose worked as a comedy writer in the early sixties. By ] he had landed in Hollywood, working primarily as a sketch writer for television variety shows. Much of Rose's music tended towards his comedic side, with which he often prodded the political climate of the time. He appeared on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" frequently throughout 1968-70.

Rose released the Bone Again cd in 1996, and continues to record.

Eventually, Rose took up with the songwriting he developed during his youth growing up in New Orleans. A song co-written with Paul Williams, Fill Your Heart, was recorded by both Tiny Tim, and David Bowie.

In the meantime, Rose began writing lyrics & marrying them to the carnival like sounds he produced on the piano. Much of Rose's music was comedic, often prodding the political climate of the time. He appeared on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" 12 times.

Bill Cosby's Tetragrammaton label released his solo debut in 1968. Rose also recorded albums for United Artists, Pacific Arts, and the Buddha label. He returned to music in 1996. He has since released three other disks.
