Help! - Havent used this for ages

{{helpme}} Um, I kind of need someone to help me design one of those assessment tags for a new wikiproject. Im a bit confused using the Class parameter thing and I need a bit of help. The wiki-project that I'm doing it for is Raymond E. Feist series (WP:RAY). Im not too sure about images but maybe the Image:Rapiere-Morges-2.jpg would be good. Thanks! Fattyjwoods 00:00, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

I presume you want something like Template:WPSchools, is that right? In which case, you need to create a page with a name like Template:RaymondFeist. You'll want to see the page on meta, and probably Misplaced Pages:Template namespace as well. That said, I've never created one before so I'm leaving the help tag up in case you need more —αlεxmullεr 00:12, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
YEP, something like that. I try it soon. Fattyjwoods 00:15, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Hello, here's some code that should be useful for you. This will create a generic talk page header that describes your project, and uses a class parameter to put the talk page into a category used by your project. The code is pretty much directly pirated from another one of these I've written, Template:WPAFC. I've trimmed it down considerably, as a lot of the code I have there isn't necessary for your project. You may want to add a little more information about the project, but it's up to you. Enjoy! Hersfold 01:58, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

You're quite welcome, glad I could help. :-) Hersfold 02:09, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Sure. I'll make the changes to the template now, as well as add some documentation in for you. Hersfold 02:15, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually, it's funny you bring RfA up - I think I'm about to go for one in a few day's time, and I already have two nomination offers. I'll let you know once I get nominated, and you can add your nomination in as well - it's not at all unusual for there to be co-noms at an RfA. Hersfold 16:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi Fattyjwoods - as Hersfold said, someone had beaten you to it! :p Yes, it was me, and Hersfold's RFA is now just waiting for him to accept and transclude it onto the RFA page. I don't personally see the point of co-nominations, but there's nothing stopping you adding one if you really want to. Neıl 15:27, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Humph. :(, oh well I'll just add a co-nom just to make myself feel better ;) Fattyjwoods 05:03, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

HELP, again for statistics

{{helpme}} Sorry, guys but I need help creating a statistics table. with the info from and . Ill be at school tommorrow so I might not be able to reply very quickly so bear with me. Thanks Fattyjwoods 07:55, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

The statistics table is actually generated by a bot, User:WP 1.0 Bot. You can check the bot's user page for instructions on how to get it to run for your project. Note that you may need to rename a few categories, I'm not sure. Hersfold 16:18, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks again Fattyjwoods 04:19, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

New! BCAD drive from Milhist

Can I invite you to particpate in our new assessment drive? It's strictly for experienced editors and has a degree of friendly competition built-in. It involves re-evaluating around 3500 Milhist B-Class articles to ensure they match our new criteria. As ever, we're offering a range of awards as our way of expressing our thanks. The drive doesn't start until 18:00 (UTC) on March 10 but you can sign up in advance here. It would be great if you can spare the time, --ROGER DAVIES  05:33, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

My RfA

Hello again! The other day, you offered to nominate me for adminship on my talk page, and I'd like to give you the chance to do so. I've been nominated by another user, Neil, and would be honored to have you as a co-nominator. Thanks for your offer, and I hope to hear from you soon. Hersfold 15:59, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, the nomination page is at Misplaced Pages:Requests for adminship/Hersfold 3. Hersfold 16:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Done and good luck. Fattyjwoods 03:01, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks very much! I greatly appreciate it! Hersfold 03:14, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Typo

You have a typo on your userpage. You have "to" instead of "too" when you mention that you don't want your userboxes to take up too much space. Just thought you might want to know. Useight (talk) 23:13, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for that, and on the RFA discussion. I'll change the "to" now Fattyjwoods 03:15, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
You changed the wrong "to" to "too". The one that should be "too" is the one right before "much." The one you have as "too" currently, should be "to" instead. Useight (talk) 06:54, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh boy, you confused me but I think I got it right in the end. Thanks for that :-) Fattyjwoods 07:40, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

I take all the comments to heart and hope I can fulfil the role of being

Thanks for your strong support on my request for adminship, which passed 92/2/2. I'll learn the ways of the mop, and be sure to live up to the expectations of the community. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:23, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

RfA Thanks

Thank you once again for your kind co-nomination for my adminship. As I'm sure you know, it was successful, closing with a final tally of (75/1/0). I greatly appreciate the trust you have taken in me, even though you haven't known me as an editor as long as many of the people who participated. I assure you that that trust has not been misplaced, and will do my best to make sure that I use my mop well. Thank you once again, and happy editing as always. Hersfold 20:47, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

I would like to thank you for your participation in my recent RfA, which I'm very glad to say was successful at 81/7/0. Some of the very best that Misplaced Pages has to offer came out to support or oppose me and the kind words from all the editors has really given me confidence to be an admin and I can't wait to start. I will take the advice of the opposes and not jump into any content disputes immediately. As well, I will try to add more content myself. Anyways, in thanks for participating in my RfA, here's your very own personal humanoid robot. Enjoy! --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk - Contribs) 14:21, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Your NPWatcher application

Dear Fattyjwoods,

Thank you for applying for NPWatcher! You've been approved to use it. Before you run the program, please check the changelog on the application page to see if there is a newer release (or just add the main page (here) to your watchlist). Report any bugs or feature suggestion here. If you need help, feel free to contact me or join NPWatcher.

Antandrus (talk) 16:05, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

As a further note, I don't use it myself, so I'm not familiar with its quirks, features, or exact usage. Happy editing! Antandrus (talk) 16:05, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry I never got around to it - as you can see on my talk page, I had quite enough on my hands as it was. Good to see you got approved, though. Best of luck with it. Hersfold 18:57, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
No prob - thanks guys! Fattyjwoods 02:36, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm puzzled--why did it think North Korean support for Iran during the Iran-Iraq war was non-notable? North Korea was Iran's largest overt weapons supplier, ignoring embargoes, during an exceptionally nasty war. Further, that is a sub-article that is part of a series of specific country support topics under Iran-Iraq War. Howard C. Berkowitz (talk) 02:53, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, that was my fault. The NP watcher was going crazy on me. I accidently tagged it and I thought I took it off. But as you found out it didnt come off. Sorry. Fattyjwoods 02:56, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Xbox 3 (2nd nomination)

May I ask which criterion for speedy deletion you think Xbox 3 falls under? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters00:15, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Technically this article is basically the one that was deleted 2 years ago. Still, right now there has been no information "set in stone". One of the sources say it'll be out in about 2011 - 2012. It doesent say anything about the name and anything else about it - these are basically all uncertain rumours. As to which speedy criterea? CSD G4. Fattyjwoods 02:16, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

I have declined the speedy deletion on that article. It looks valid to me. I don't know why you marked it as nonsense. Aleta 23:20, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, the NP Watcher going a bit weird, I bought up a article to speedy but it accidently tagged that, I didnt relaise it till now. Fattyjwoods 23:24, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

After looking through your contributions I've decided to grant you the rollback! :-) Remember to only use it for clear vandalism and remember not to use it to edit war. Or you'll get me into trouble ;-) Scarian 00:15, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
