Al Magarudian is a fictional character from Alfred Hitchcock's film Lifeboat.
His appearance in the movie is as fleeting as Hitchcock's cameo, and in fact even more so because he never appears on camera. Rather, Al Magarudian is mentioned on numerous occasions by one of the men on the boat - Al Magarudian is referred to as the man's best friend, "a great man", and is said to have introduced the man and his wife. Though he is mentioned often in the movie, Al Magarudian's character carries no significance. His presence (or non-presence) adds nothing to the plot and seems completely unnecessary, in fact, comical.
