Deven Bhojani

Deven Bhojani is an Indian TV serial actor/director. He has been doing theatre from 1984. He started it as a hobby and along with theatre he used to work as a salesman in a soda-making company. He also tried his hand at being a Real Estate agent, but he soon realized that he had immense talent and skill in acting. He started his television journey way back in 1986 with an episode of Malgudi Days entitled Nitya. He is Satish Shah and Ratna Pathak’s son-in-law, Dushyant, in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai which he also directs. After that he did various films and loads of television shows. He was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Filmfare Awards for Aamir Khan starrer Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar in 1992. He was also Mansoor Khan's Assistant Director in that film. He belongs to the unique club of actors-cum-directors.

His directorial ventures include Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Instant Khichdi to name a few. Apart from playing “Gattu”, he also dons the cap of Creative Director for "Baa Bahoo Aur Baby" on Star Plus.

He had to visit a home for mentally challenged & the handicapped children and study their body language, mannerisms & their approach towards life and utilze them in the role of Gattu.
