23 December 2009
Season's greetings! Okay, so I went absent for a long time I hope this hasn't phased you in any way. I'm looking for something to do is there any areas where you can direct me (such as a list of articles for clean up) in the anime and video games projects?? I'm usually bored and looking for something to do here ever since I finished DKC2 Also how do I create a template? I want one for my userpage. NarSakSasLee (talk) 12:23, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Nope, I'm fine. In fact, it's probably a good thing that you didn't show up for a while. My life got a bit of an upheaval and it's messed up my editing abilities for a short time. Mostly fine now though. Anyway, hi! If you want, I can search for the anime WikiProject, but since I know where it is, here's the video games lists so far. This category contains pages marked for clean-up. This page, on the other hand, allows you to click on any of the importance or quality rating and be given links to all of them (though, as far as I can see, it's sadly impossible to pick both the importance and quality, so if you want to work on High-importance stubs, you'll need to search around for them). Secondly, exactly what sort of template are you looking for? Are you looking for a userbox, a page to transclude to the userpage (meaning that all of the coding is on a different page, thus tidying up the page a bit) or do you mean you want something like my new userpage? --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 12:43, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, well, i just hope your okay now with your life. As for the template I was think something like those at the bottom of articles. I want shortcuts, personalised of course, so I can quickly navigate to other articles, wikiprojects and clean up lists or catagories or even people. I didn't realise that userboxes were proper templates too. As for your userpage -- its far too complex for me because there is probably so much code that my brain may get frazzled. Yeah and I probably want them "transcluded" (such big words for a simple task!) how do I go about doing it?. NarSakSasLee (talk) 13:07, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- What the...? Damn it! Sorry about the wait. I had responded about an hour or two after your question but the edit clearly didn't go through for some reason. (grumbling) Okay, let me see if I can remember what I'd said... First off, it's just a simple matter of doing this ("{{uaa|nb}}"). That's the most simple way to add a template. However, transcluding does have a few problems. If an alteration is made to the page being transcluded, that alteration will appear on all the pages it is being transcluded to. This is sometimes helpful (e.g. it allows me to see your responses here on my talk page). However, if a vandal attacks the page, it you may end up with a swear word on a couple of thousand pages, say. Hence, substition is sometimes used, like so ("{{subst:uaa|nb}}"). Depending on what the template is, you may want to transclude, you may want to substitute. It's complex, but you'll probably get the hang of it quickly enough. Anyway, as for the template, I'll create it for you and then tell you what I did (that'd be the easiest thing to do). Give me a bullet point list of everything you want in the template (and if you want them in any particular grouping or if that's left up to my judgement). I... err... think that's everything I'd said... --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 01:40, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

All WikiProject using this system have been updated and you now can crossreference quality and importance (though it takes you outside of Misplaced Pages to do so). --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 15:29, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I have a few Qs I was hoping to get help with:
- what template should I use for adding references to articles? In real life, I am most familiar with APA style and want to use that if possible
- what gallery template do you recommend?
- what templates should I use to add "citation/source/reference is needed" to a claim I think doesn't make sense?
Thanks, --The.Filsouf (talk) 20:41, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- To answer in order:
- It depends on where the information comes from. For online content, the most common, it is {{cite web}}. The second most common (in the articles I edit, anyway) is {{cite journal}}. A full list can be found here. Let me know if you have any trouble with them.
- Gallery template? I don't generally have much to do with pictures, but I can bludgeon problems better well. What context is it in? What article is it for?
- If you need a citation for a specific statement, use {{citation needed|date=December 2009}}. If it's an entire article at issue rather than a sentence here or there, see here for the list of them. Again, if you have any trouble with them, simply ask. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 20:50, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Red Star
Red Star Congratulations, Thejadefalcon! It's my pleasure to award you December 21, 2009's Red Star for being hard working, kind to others, and for being an excellent user in general. A record of this award will always be kept at User:Meaghan/Shining Stars. Enjoy! Meaghan - Christmas! - 14:16, 21 December 2009 (UTC) You could also receive the next higher up award, the Orange Star! |
- Oh, wow... thank you. Seriously, you have no idea how much this has brightened up my day. Thank you, Meaghan. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 19:30, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'm glad it brightened your day. :) You really deserve the award. Cheers! --Meaghan - Christmas! - 19:42, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

- Am I supposed to laugh? Not funny.
- MostFamousPeopleUSA (talk) 01:07, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- (shrugs) Made me laugh at least, as well as a few others I know. Anyway, as Meaghan said, "I hope understand that my Red Star is different" from the Order of the Red Star. Last I checked, people awarded the Order of the Red Star were not given a great big ball of fire. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 01:24, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Russian Red Star is a great award given to great people. I would rather have that one any day of week.

← As would I, but this isn't the Order of the Red Star is it, now? This is merely the "Red Star" and I fail to see what the issue is. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 01:38, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- I just made it clear there is no comparison between the two stars, and that is the issue. In America, they create a red star like some silly rabbit from a hat, hand it out to anybody with a heartbeat, and have no respect for the real red star. It is an insult to Russia and all it stands for.
- MostFamousPeopleUSA (talk) 09:53, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Correction. Its an insult to Soviet Russia.--Coldplay Expért 13:54, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- ... this is really getting pathetic, to be honest. How the hell is it insulting Russia? I love Russia. They bring us vodka and starring roles in marvellous games (and that one was Soviet Russia, too). They have wonderful accents and they're generally just fantastic people to know. I'm sure there's something out there that is like a Purple Heart, but the Americans aren't complaining about it (actually, I just remembered: there is. I myself have, off Misplaced Pages, of course, recieved the Purple Spork, "for bravery above and beyond the call of duty when sporking (mocking) bad fanfiction"). But look to the right. Do you see the difference? One is a medal, the other is a large ball of fire in the sky. I earned the latter, not the former. This is an award for "being hard working, kind to others, and for being an excellent user in general" not for "exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union in both war and peace." Russia hasn't even handed the damn thing out for eighteen years. Also, I am English (shush, I know the character is technically French). Meaghan is Canadian. Neither of us are American. I think it is in fact you who is showing no respect to anyone. You also have no sense of humour. Do you know what the English do when people mock us? We keep a stiff upper lip and have another mug of tea. I also wish to point out that this isn't mocking Russia at all. It is part of an award program called "Shining Stars" which has, as the name should have implied, awards based on stars. There is the Red Star (which, by the way, happens to be the lowest award), there is the Orange Star, there is the Yellow Star and, finally, there is the Blue Star. This is not an insult to Russia. You are seeing things where they do not exist. If you want to complain, take it up with the original creator of the award. I think she would appreciate it if you could keep your misguided patriotism at the door though. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 15:18, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Being a Russian (And German and Italian) myself. I have nothig but contempt for the reds who kicked my ancestors out of their home nation. There is really a red state (one that is nearing the end of its life) so its not the order of the red star but rather an award like the wikipedia on the day/week/month. End of discussion.--Coldplay Expért 15:28, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Russians bring us Vodka??? What a stereotype! No small wonder that true Russians are disgusted with most Misplaced Pages editors, who either embrace brain dead stereotypes about Russians and vodka or belong to the underclass of unwashed Soviet outcasts, then presume to understand Russian music or culture. They prove time and time again that they know nothing. Who gives them the right to imagine they know what matters in Russian culture? I know silly rabbits with more intellectual understanding of Russian arts and culture.
- MostFamousPeopleUSA (talk) 16:01, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- (facepalm) ... Just... (facepalm) Christ, man, read the article! Vodka is believed to have originated in Russia. It also comprises seventy percent of all alcohol drunk there. Did you even read my post? I mocked England, my home country, about our tea drinking habits, which is exactly the same stereotype. We laugh it off. Some Irish people I once knew were perfectly happy to have a chuckle at their own drinking stereotypes (Guinness, say). It's not as if I insulted your heritage, is it? All countries poke fun at each other and most of it is harmless. What part of me poking fun at my own didn't you get? Grow a thicker skin before you leave the safety of your LAN. Maybe have a little tipple of vodka to get into the... spirit of things? (I'm going to hell for that one ^.^) --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 18:02, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- All I know is that you seem to be a silly man. Then you bring that ridiculous Coldplay expert into this diseased game and that is ultimate joke. Is he supposed to be the resident Misplaced Pages music expert? I mean, what kind of mindless fool imagines there is a molecule of talent to singing a song about "Jello" like some castrated schoolboy? Have you heard how they play guitar? Chugga-chugga-chugga, it is alternative no-talent trash of the worst kind! I don't care how the brainwashed masses are deluded and deceived into thinking Coldplay is quality music when so obviously it comes from the sewer, except that is an insult to the sewer. Those who attack Soviet Russia attack a nation that created the greatest music known to mankind and the new "democracy" of gangsters only destroyed whatever quality once existed. Do not compare Coldplay to great art, please, do not be sillier than you already are, because Coldplay is an example of everything that is wrong with music today. My dog knows more about music than Coldplay, sings better than Coldplay, and he did not go to a school of castrated schoolboys to learn that much.

- Get off my plane! --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 20:34, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- I guess it's easy to dish out criticism but you can't take it. Don't blame me for the fact that Coldplay is a collection of girly-voiced music illiterates, championed by a badly diseased Western Media. I know what makes for music quality and Coldplay is certainly anything but.

- What is an ANI??? If it's another terrible no-talent Western rock group like Coldplay, moaning in the singing voices of castrated schoolboys about "Jello," then please spare me the introduction. I know great music, great Soviet music of beautiful voice women and deep voice strong men, and Coldplay is incapable of creating any faximile of it.

Imagine how shocked I am to learn that this cold sandwich consisting of castrated schoolboys is pretending to be a talented music group. lol Yet you bring a champion of cold cuts to dispute music with me? A champion of cold cuts is going to argue about Soviet Russia with me? Spare me this insult, please, and you know you brought this on yourself by throwing away my smart music edits of the past.

I've now stopped assuming good faith with him, to be honest, and am considering bringing him on Wikiquette alerts due to repeated incivility and discourtesy towards a group of editors. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 15:18, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) Second sentence in. Also, I don't believe I am blowing this out of proportion. He has been repeatedly incivil to, taking two names from the hat, December21st2012Freak and Coldplay Expert and is now being incivil to me after I did something as horrifying as ask a very reasonable question regarding this garbage and now again when I told him, my temper fraying slightly, to stop attacking Coldplay Expert over a simple thing such as typos. If you know of another way to get him to try to get him to sit down, shut up and stop insulting others, then I will drop the WQA, because I don't particularly want to get involved on one myself (and only partially because the last one I ended up in, where I was only a neutral party, ended messily). --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 15:27, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

While I am perfectly fine with that, I am concerned about the fact that, without that in his talk page archives, he can potentially claim he was never incivil or something and it would take some serious digging in the revision history to prove otherwise (I think I'm phrasing my concern badly, but I believe that it may be a legitimate concern). --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 16:24, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- Look if we need to find it in the future we can and will. However we still need to try to calmly talk to him and see if he can kindly respond back. Then we can all move on.--Coldplay Expért 17:02, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- OK, should we just drop the whole thing and wait for him to bite me and or attack others? No. We cant just ignore him becasue he keeps comming to our talk pages and threatening to report us!--Coldplay Expért 18:49, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Help
I have been quite concerned with corporate PR techniques for some time now and have shifted my focus at least for the moment to PR in Misplaced Pages. A company I used to work for hired hundreds of high school aged kids to edit Misplaced Pages for them (they also wrote Amazon reviews, linked to the product on MSG boards etc.), and I was fired recently for refusing to lie about a product in particular. While we need not mention specific details regarding that case, I was hoping we could begin to make the Misplaced Pages community aware of the situation, and perhaps eventually change Wikipolicies regarding "reception" sections of games and movies, among other things. Take a look at my Call of Duty MW2 or Prototype Talk Page insertions if you could please. I have seen you around in the game fields when I as writing PR fluff on Misplaced Pages, and I remember your name well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.214.123.146 (talk) 01:22, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Greetings from beautiful downtown Santa Monica
Hello my bird friend,
I hope you're having a wonderful holiday. All's okay at our end of the planet. Write back when you can. Also, how do you put colors in your name? I want to add colors to mine. :) Malke 2010 (talk) 19:02, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- My coding is long and complex, but the general thing is this: <font color="#009000">]</font> To find possible colours to use, go here. There's a lot of them, so unless you know exactly what you want, you may be stuck for a while. However, I'd experiment with them first before you save it as your signature. Here, use my sandbox to experiment, where you can see the many attempts to get my signature to be a) nice to look at in my view and b) still readable by everyone else. Also, do you have this page on your watchlist? I don't want to keep bothering you with needless talkback messages. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 19:10, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Of course I have your page on my watchlist. I love talk back messages, btw. After I pick the colors, etc., do I then put the code into the "signature" box on "My preferences" page? Is that how that works? Malke 2010 (talk) 19:15, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

I want to add a couple of lines like yours but I can't get the colors right. So I'm going with this for now until I figure it out. Malke2010 20:44, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

- Hmmm. . .apparently the 'talk' thing is in Malke. Interesting how that works. Malke2010 20:47, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Nope. It's in the "Malke" section. The (talk) button vanishes if you have a custom signature. As for the signature itself, it looks very good. Sorry I couldn't help any more while you were fiddling. I had to go search a few hundred links to help someone fix up some userboxes. X.X And as for the coding, if something ever needs to be shunted down so that is doesn't interfere with another template or text of some sort, use {{-}}. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 20:49, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Alien
Why did you delete my post on the alien films? Zoz007 thanks for your answer in advance.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Zoz007 (talk • contribs)
- First of all, this is where you need to post to discuss stuff with me. Secondly, my apologies. I got a bit caught up, thought I'd made a comment to your talk page, but obviously not. I removed them because, honestly, they didn't make all that much sense to me. I can't really see why it matters what the title of the film is in Hungarian. It just doesn't seem all that important to me. Another thing is that your section title, "Interesting information," is synonymous with "trivia" which Misplaced Pages does not allow. However, if you think it is, you're welcome to raise the point on the talk page (preferably this one) and see what other editors have to say about it. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 20:56, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry I didnt know that I can contact you here. I am new to Misplaced Pages. Well I added this information cause it is unique and as a fan for the film for me it is interesting and this is quite common amongst movie fans to search for these kind of information. For the section title I apologize I didn't know. However I think changing the section title would have been enough since this is still an interesting thing about the movie to share and it is not new to wikipedia. Just search for it and you will see that other movies also have information of these kind. But anyway i dont see what is senseless in this. Different French and Italian titles can be posted but Hungarian is senseless?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Zoz007 (talk • contribs)
- To my knowledge, titles of films in different languages are only given if they were made or first shown in that country. Also, Alien's Hungarian title is "The eight passanger the death"? Really? That just sounds like an online translator did that one and that is rarely accurate enough to rely on. I'm not trying to drive you away from Misplaced Pages, I just don't think the Hungarian titles are relevant. As I said, if you would like, go here and ask for some consensus from other editors. If they agree with me, then it stays off. If they think it's notable, then I'm more than happen to accept that. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 21:14, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- I will do it but the fact that you dont believe that the Hungarian title is really The eighth passanger the death in hungarian then look for it here on Misplaced Pages. Go to the Engilsh Alien page and select the language magyar (in engilsh: Hungarian) and you will see the title is A nyolcadik utas a halál... which means The eighth passanger is the death... Bye :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zoz007 (talk • contribs) 21:30, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

edit war reporting
how do I report someone for edit warring and uncivil comments? Thanks Malke2010 21:12, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Depends on what it is. Give me a few diffs, please? However, edit warring would usually go to Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring (AN3). However, for a very controversial article, it would likely go to Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents (AN/I) too from what I've seen. Personal attacks are more complex. If it's severe and constant and the user has been warned, it'd be Administrator intervention against vandalism (AIV). If it's just a long-running dispute between users, try Wikiquette alerts (WQA). If it's on an article on a living person, try Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard (BLP/N) too, though I've never been there, so read the instructions for that one very carefully just in case I'm wrong. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 21:20, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Also, he's claiming that my editing is edit warring and that I've reverted material which I have not. I've deleted and added material and moved material around, but I have not reverted anything. He's just put up a warning on my talk page. He's very harassing, etc. and never makes any contribution to the page. He just reverts. Thanks for the help. This is frustrating.Malke2010 21:26, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Aaron Russo
Admittedly I didn't cite the source, but I did state the facts about the subject matter. It is verifiable so I cannot see why you edited my Aaron Russo piece save some bias policy of wikipedia. People deserve better, to know the truth, not one-sided opinion. This is what happened: It is widely speculated that Aaron Russo did not die of cancer but was assassinated after a radio interview where he was said to have spilt the beans - so to speak - about exposing the Rockerfeller family and their involvement in instigating 9-11. The radio interview survives to this day on many a conspiracy theorists computer and proves beyond doubt the fact that the most powerful families in America, in the world, had vested interests in the atrocities. The main motive being to introduce the terror legislation that stripped people of their rights. It ties in with the Phil Schneider and Bill Cooper murders. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anglyn (talk • contribs)
- What is it with my editor review attracting talk page comments? Is it magnetic or something? This is where you need to post. Secondly, I don't know who the guy is, I don't care. I saw something that looked like a conspiracy theorist's ranting (and still does), so I reverted it. If it's verifiable, give a reference. That's all that's needed. Also, I suggest you need to read this. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 23:20, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

broke the page
Hey there Bird, what does broke the page mean? Did I do it? If I did, that's hilarious. I must hire someone to type for me.Malke2010 19:13, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Nope. Abce2 did it. :) They used a reference (<ref>)tag with no nowiki tags (<nowiki>) and it killed the rest of the page. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 19:20, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, thank you Jesus, I didn't do it. LOL. Also, do you need special software for what you do on wikipedia? What's Huggle and Twinkle and what's the point of that?Malke2010 19:35, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- You need to download Huggle (and you need rollback rights for that one), but Twinkle is easy to install. Go to "My Preferences," "Gadgets," click the tick for Twinkle and save the page. And you're done. Read the manual if you want (I learned through trial and error and ended up nominating my own talk page for speedy deletion as "blatant nonsense" and undid with "oops" as my edit summary (only to do the same thing again ten minutes later)). If you have any questions, ask me. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 19:49, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

How does the wikiquette thing get closed out? I saw that one seemed to be resolved, or maybe not. So how does someone make that decision. Can you close it out yourself? It might be best to do that now so that nothing is bursting later. :D Malke2010 20:33, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

- See, it's got something about vandalism? Malke2010 20:44, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- When you look at any diff that is the most recent, say, this one, you'll see three buttons. A green "rollback (AGF)," a blue "rollback" and a red "rollback (VANDAL)". These will all remove all consecutive edits by that user to the last revision by another user. The difference is how you are responding to it. The first assumes it's a newbie who isn't too sure about how to edit properly, the second is just generally reverting and the third is removing a vandal. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 20:46, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Semi-Protect
Hello Thejadefalcon, I was wondering how you semi-protect a talk page, or any other page for that matter, I don't want non-users to wreak havoc on Misplaced Pages. Sorry if I'm repeating myself, but have a happy new year! Congrats on getting that Red Star too! It seems like a huge achievement!--Micro101 (talk) 13:06, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) You have to be an administrator to protect a page yourself, but if you aren't one you can still request a page be protected at WP:RPP, Lord Spongefrog, (I am Czar of all Russias!) 13:09, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Spongefrog, you failed to mention one thing. Talk pages are never protected unless under exceptional circumstances. Talk pages are an IPs only connection to other editors. If we take it away, they can't communicate with others and ask opinions on how to best improve an article. Anyway, the easiest way is to probably a) familiarise yourself with the protection policy and then b) install Misplaced Pages:Twinkle (go to "My Preferences," "Gadgets," click Twinkle's box and save). Then, go to the page you want to protect, look at the top of the screen along the tabs ("edit this page" et cetera) and cick "rpp". Select to type of protection, the length of protection required (generally "temporary") and an explanation for your request. It sounds difficult, but it's pretty easy when you're used to it. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 18:15, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

- Not replying right away is very rare when I"m on Misplaced Pages. I was just busy doing trial and error for my signature code. It was tedious work! First I had to copy your code, paste, and customize. Your code didn't add color to the superscript and so did Coldplay's. I finally got my signature code through with Lord Spongefrog's. I have to ask, where did you get the codes?--Microsoft 101Defender of Cyberspace 21:28, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- I asked xeno about it. He directed me here. Also, what do you mean my code didn't work with the superscript? Can you show me what you did? Also, congratulations on managing it without any help. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 21:30, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

- Sorry if this upsets you, but my parents are kind of stingy and always ask me why I need an E-Mail account. They think that I'll fall to spammers and hackers. They're fine with Misplaced Pages as long as I don't wreak havoc on Misplaced Pages. Oh, how did you get your signature color, words that link me to your talk page, etc. Reply under this message. --Micro 101 (talk) 20:33, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for reverting my talk-page. I must admit I was sitting there going "...huh.", unsure how to respond to such random accusations. Happy editing, also if I may poke you into giving me an editor review, since you watching my talk page indicates you may have noticed me around at least a little! Link is on my talk page in a banner, however don't feel pressed to do so at all, I don't mind! Have a great new year, --Taelus (talk) 21:14, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Last I heard, Misplaced Pages was banned in the People's Republic of China anyway (out of context, I had to check to see what the heck PRC meant). I may give you a review. Honestly, I'm not too sure how comfortable I feel giving them out. However, I'll probably try to do my best. And my talk page stalking is random. I do it to a couple of hundred of people, just helping them out when weirdos like that guy show up. :P --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 21:21, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for helping me edit Pop Island
Thanks, I never thought I could actually make an article that could actually stay! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theclerkswell (talk • contribs) 22:47, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Oh, Papa
There's a bad person on my talk page at the bottom. He's scaring me.Malke2010 00:10, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Jade, what do you mean, not here either? Is jpgordon not around? I picked him because he's in California and would still be awake at this hour. I'm going to ask that this guy be blocked. He needs a break.Malke2010 03:07, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I meant stop fighting, wherever it is. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 03:09, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'm confused, I don't understand what is going on here. Are you upset with me? What have I done? I'm not fighting with this fellow. I told him to leave my page, now he's back even worse. Why did you archive it? Can the admins still see it? I want this fellow blocked. He should be. He's over the top.Malke2010 03:26, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- All of you need to calm down. Archiving the thread was the simplest way to do it all. Blocking Daedalus serves no purpose, especially since, as I said over e-mail, I agree that your edit summary was a mistake. All of you are just getting on each others nerves, so I decided to nuke the thread. It's still visible to all. All I did was hide the thread. --ThejadefalconThe bird's seeds 03:28, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I don't agree with the "All of you" I wasn't giving tit for tat. And Coldplay was trying to reason with the guy. This guy must be blocked, and my email exchange with you has nothing to do with it. This fellow didn't need to start this argument in the first place. He needs to be stopped. The posts he left are nothing more than rants, and they are offensive. Is this fellow a friend of yours? So please do not lump me in with this fellow, or Coldplay for that matter. He's young and he's trying to make sense of an out of control adult. So please, once again, this fellow started this nonsense, over a most ridiculous thing. He was just looking for a place to unload a lot of anger and whatever else he's got in his head. If he had not gone off on this silly edit summary, he would have gotten his head off on someone else's talk page. He needs a break from editing, and believe me nobody understands the value of a block better than I do. So, please don't roll us in with that. It's wrong and it's unfair. And frankly, I don't see why you are so upset about this.Malke2010 03:36, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- This is like Iraq War all over again. Please make it stop. Im sorry!--Coldplay Expért 03:44, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think you've done anything wrong, Coldplay. I think you did your best to reason with a loony adult. This fellow has issues that are beyond any thing anybody on wikipedia can do for him.Malke2010 04:01, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
