The only pathology, in my opinion, is that some people want to believe they are sick. And some people are more than willing to make them think they are. —Preceding ] comment added by ] (]) 17:40, 6 September 2010 (UTC) | The only pathology, in my opinion, is that some people want to believe they are sick. Merge Sexual addiction with Pornography addiction?

Cleanup
I tagged this article for cleanup on 22 Jan 2007 due to phrases such as:
So to be clear, sexual addiction is addiction of a sexual nature. In which the sexual method of arousal, stimulation, etc. becomes a compulsion with withdrawal syndromes if it is taken away for too long a period of time.
These sentences, and several others in the article, are clearly grammatically incorrect and non-encyclopedic.
Link deletion
I've deleted the two BS links because they had nothing to add of encyclopedic value; save from some interesting view into the life of people who try to enforce a sex-less world.
United States only?
I have a strong hunch that this is an United States only phenomenon. (Defining someone as a "sexual addict.") A some sort of international aspect would be interesting. Does anyone know any studies or statistics? Thanks! -- 88.194.188.158 (talk) 20:52, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

I have deleted the following sentence in the main intro para
- Skeptics believe that it is a myth that the phenomenon exists as a disease or disorder at all and is instead a by-product of cultural and other influences.{{Citation needed|date=April 2010}}
- Thanks!

No critical section ?
Am I the only to believe that this so-called phenomenon is nothing but a way for the therapists to line their pockets ?
