Welcome!

Hello, Salgado96, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Salgado96, may not conform to some of Misplaced Pages's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

Fair use rationale for File:Walking cover.jpg

I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. The article The Vancouver Boots (singer) has been speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Misplaced Pages. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Katy perry teenage dream cover

well, i am not blind... i bought the deluxe edition of the album, and that is the one without the title. please go to google and look for the cd on the hmv group. see the deluxe cover and the standard cover, thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Salgado96 (talk • contribs) 15:18, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

I didn't say you were blind. hmv UK has the same cover for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Teenage Dream, as does hmv Canada, hmv Hong Kong, and hmv Japan, so I'm not really sure where you're seeing this. Yvesnimmo (talk) 15:49, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Actually the discussion on the talk page established that in some regions i.e. the UK, you can by the deluxe or standard edition with the cover with text or without. Therefore as the cover with text was released it is easier to explain that a cover exists without the text, than it is to explain that a cover with kandy-kane style text was also released. Per WP:NFCC more than one cover art is not allowed as the second one does not add significant contextual significance and does not convey more information than one cover alone does. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:15, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

Michael (album)

Please STOP labelling it as a studio album. If you READ the talk page you can quite clearly see that a consensus has been establised that the album is a Compilation album and NOT a studio album! If you persist on inserting information that consensus has clearly REJECTED you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Why is it that every single time an editor correctly changes Michael from compilation to studio you guys always threaten to block them?
