Fair use rationale for File:Walking cover.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Walking cover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:42, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Thank you.You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
The article The Vancouver Boots (singer) has been speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Misplaced Pages. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:41, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Portal:Hoaxes, to Misplaced Pages as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Misplaced Pages:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. No, you are *not* "free now to create hoaxes about you on Misplaced Pages." NawlinWiki (talk) 01:44, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Cher+Already+Been+There.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Cher+Already+Been+There.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — ξ 00:39, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Katy perry teenage dream cover
well, i am not blind... i bought the deluxe edition of the album, and that is the one without the title. please go to google and look for the cd on the hmv group. see the deluxe cover and the standard cover, thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Salgado96 (talk • contribs) 15:18, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't say you were blind. hmv UK has the same cover for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Teenage Dream, as does hmv Canada, hmv Hong Kong, and hmv Japan, so I'm not really sure where you're seeing this. Yvesnimmo (talk) 15:49, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
- Actually the discussion on the talk page established that in some regions i.e. the UK, you can by the deluxe or standard edition with the cover with text or without. Therefore as the cover with text was released it is easier to explain that a cover exists without the text, than it is to explain that a cover with kandy-kane style text was also released. Per WP:NFCC more than one cover art is not allowed as the second one does not add significant contextual significance and does not convey more information than one cover alone does. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:15, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- To sort the issue once and for all I've brough the discussion up here. Please not that unless there is a general consensus and agreement that the inclusion of two covers is correct only one cover should remain at the article. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:39, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Teenage dream music sheet.JPG
Thank you for uploading File:Teenage dream music sheet.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yvesnimmo (talk) 18:47, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Sale el Sol. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Using one wikipedia article as a source for another is not allowed. Equally blogs like theprophetblog.net are not appropriate!!!! -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 15:42, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Reveal (Bruce Buckley album)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Reveal (Bruce Buckley album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ironholds (talk) 16:15, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Milla at the Borderline London 1994..jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Milla at the Borderline London 1994..jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages.
