I am a neuroscientist specializing in learning and memory, with a focus on the hippocampus; many of my publications have involved the theta rhythm. I have been contributing since April 2008, and have co-maintained WikiProject Neuroscience more less since then. I am involved in an effort sponsored by the Society for Neuroscience to get more scientists to contribute to Misplaced Pages; see WT:WikiProject Neuroscience for more information.

Concerning deletion
In my RfA, I made a statement that I would not do deletions except in cases of copyright violations and attack pages. I feel compelled to revise that in one respect, and also feel a need to explain why. When I wrote that, I did not realize that in dealing with vandalism I would frequently come across editors who create a burst of obviously junk articles in a few minutes; in less than a week this has already happened several times. It seems irresponsible to me to leave that junk for somebody else to deal with, so I will delete those articles when I encounter them. If there is the slightest reason to think that an article might be legitimate, I will tag it and leave it for somebody else to dispose of.
