I once again state that the definition of Banana Republic is static, and according to it the USA now belongs to that category. I did not cause the political turmoil, or the corruption. I love how the supposedly egalitarian Misplaced Pages uses force to get their point across. Do what we say or we'll ban you. What an extremely mature attitude to have. Recent events have changed the political landscape in the USA. I did not make up those facts. They are facts. The more regulations you keep throwing at me just proves your own bias toward the issue. I'm just trying to add facts. Facts can never be in dispute, that is why they call them facts. If they were in dispute they would be called theories. You appear to be approaching Misplaced Pages as a political battleground. That's not a good approach to creating a collaborative encyclopedic work. Neither you nor I are allowed to make checklists of criteria, reach a conclusion, and insert original research. There is a right way to make your case - reseach prominent authorities who have made an assertion that the US is a banana republic, and provide a carefully-referenced discussion of their thinking, not yours, seeking consensus among the other editors. It needs more than a cherry-picked reference to Chomsky - you need multiple references to prove that the term is commonly applied and used w/r/t the US. You must be prepared to argue from within Misplaced Pages policy.
