Yusuff Kamal (b: 1938), better known as Shakeel is a versatile, respected and veteran Pakistani television actor who has been on the scene for almost 4 decades. Amongst his most famous roles are the lead in Uncle Urfi and Mehboob Ahmed in Aangan Terha. He has also acted in a number of local films as well as one English film, Butterflies are free. Besides his acting, he is also famous for his philanthropic activities.

Background

Shakeel, along with his family, migrated to Karachi, Pakistan in 1952. He received his primary education from an English medium school in prepartition India and a French missionary school in India.

He made his debut in the film, Honehar in 1966.
