Artpop (stylised as ARTPOP) is the third studio album by American recording artist ]. It is set to be released in spring 2013 by ]. Recording of the album began in mid-2011 after the release of her second album ]. As producer, Lady Gaga enlisted previous collaborators ], Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow with new collaborators ] and Madeon. As of December 2012 no official songs of the album have been released. However possible tracks have been performed or leaked by Gaga. These songs include a remixed version of Zedd's "Stache", a hip-hop song called "Cake" and an ode to ] titled "Princess Die". Originally the lead single was to be released in January 2013 but Gaga doesn't expect it to come out by then.

After the release of ] Gaga confirmed she had started writing her untitled third album. During her interview with ] she played the song "Princess Die" for the journalist. Nothing much further was said about the album until August 2012 when she got a new tattoo that had writing which said "ARTPOP". She confirmed this to be the album title along with revealing some new song lyrics on ]. Photos have leaked of her recording the album and she has officially performed two new possible ARTPOP tracks.

As producer, Lady Gaga enlisted previous collaborators RedOne, Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow with new collaborators Zedd and Madeon. Its music is set to incorporate pop and hip-hop unlike what she has previously done. Possible guest vocalists include Elton John, Azaelia Banks, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj however Gaga tweeted that there may be no collaborations as the album is very "personal".
