Century is the lead ship of the Millennium Class of cruise ships for Celebrity Cruises. She was launched in 1995 and went into a 5 week drydock in April 2006 whilst undergoing complete refurbishment.

The multi-million dollar makeover will last until May 30, and will include 314 new verandas, 14 new suites, 10 new staterooms, an expanded number of Concierge Class staterooms and a new Martini Bar. Chief among the new dining options will be a speciality restaurant at the heart of the ship, with menus designed by Chef Michael Roux, and named "Murano" on account of its handcrafted Murano glass chandeliers.
