The vast majority of vandals are here at best to cause minor graffiti and at worst to disrupt the encyclopedia – not your day. It is better to allow the community to deal with a user than stalking them seeking revenge. We are people not usernames. When you are typing messages, you are typing to a person. If you would not say something to a person sitting in the room with you, don't send it to another user. If the issue personal or private, please e-mail me. I value time everyone's time, both yours and mine. If you are at this page to yell at me for reverting your vandalism, your post will probably be removed without further discussion, so please don't waste my time or yours. Please be civil. If you're here to personally attack me or violate other policy in your message, your post will be removed without further discussion. I will try to answer reasonable questions and comments, however, I'm not really interested in arguing with you on points of fact or philosophy. I don't usually run to Mommy and/or Daddy on every little issue, but if necessary, I will report abusive editors to WP:ANI or WP:LONG. My interests vary from day-to-day, so my edits may cross a large number of interest areas. If I edit a topic you are passionate about and you came here angry about my edit, take a deep breath. I believe that Misplaced Pages should be the place to go to for information, but vandals, trolls, and the uninformed make it fall short of that goal, so I try not to be one. Hi Absolon: I noticed you undid the revision to the Savannah State University edit I imposed for the end date. I am not interested in getting into a lame edit war, but just so you know, I contacted the school and spoke with a representative who verified that the seal has not been discontinued. She went further to note that the website non-usage of the seal does not constitute discontinued use. The seal is embossed on college diplomas(degrees) awarded by the institution, college transcripts, and is used during official ceremonies and events. If you choose to keep the end date under the seal simply because it is no longer used on the website, that is incorrect. Colleges and Universities tend to use logos as well as their official seals in various ways. I've yet to see a traditional university emboss a logo on a transcript or a degree. If you have verified that savannah state embosses logos on their degrees now instead of the official seal, then I am mistaken. However, I seriously doubt that. Kind Regards liberallefty79

Stop readding the wrong image

The image that you continue to add to the 2012 Savannah State Tigers football team page cannot be used on season articles. Using it violates the non free image usage. That logo can only be used on main athletic pages and no season articles. Furthermore, saying that the free image that I have put on the page has been discontinued is completly wrong. It is no longer used as the helmet decal, but its the exact same SSU that the tiger is on top of. So please stop continuing to readd a longer that cannont be used and please stop removing a free image that can be used. Bsuorangecrush (talk) 12:12, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

The SSU logo that is a free image is the EXACT SAME LOGO!! as the new one just without the tiger. I didn't say that the SSU logo is the current logo but it is part of the current logo and since its just letters it is a free image and can be used. Look at most season artilcles, the images are mostly just script logos because they are free and can be used. This image can be used on this page and should be used. It makes the page look better and IS STILL IN THE CURRENT LOGO!! so to say its been discontinued is false.Bsuorangecrush (talk) 23:05, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

It's not my opinion, ITS A FACT!!! Just look at it!!!! Its the EXACT SAME LOGO!! The fact that you continue to remove it is bordering on being vandalism. It CAN be use and its a FREE image that SHOULD be used. You do not own that page and the fact that you keep removing a logo THAT IS a version of the current logo just without the tiger is INSANE!! LEAVE IT!! Plus, to say that image was discontinued is stupid! Its not only part of the new logo, but almost EVERY SCHOOL IN THE NATION has multiple versions of logos. Go ahead, look up any other schools logo at any other school in the nation, they all have multiple versions logos, including script logo which THIS LOGO IS!!Bsuorangecrush (talk) 05:15, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

You obviously ignored my Talk Page note that "It's...totally...not...that...serious...". You are more than welcome to report my edits to an administrator if you feel I am in violation of some policy. If you are unsure of how to do this just leave a note below and can give you the instructions. In the mean time, I removed the image with the tiger until I can find the time to research your earlier assertion that the current official logo cannot be used on team season pages and I removed your image because it is no longer used by the university because of the copyright status. Of course I ignored your talk page note, thats like reading the iTunes agreement, you just click ok and ignore it. Your continued argument that it has been discontinued is INSANE!! Question:Is the SSU logo by its self the exact same logo that the tiger is on? There are only 2 answers to that: 1)No, and thus you are blind and I suggest you seem medical help right away or 2)Yes, its the same logo with out the tiger. If 2) is the answer then IT HAS NOT BEEN DISCONTINUED BECAUSE WE ARE LOOKING RIGHT AT IT!!! Plus, ITS A SCRIPT LOGO!! Do you know how many schools have a free public domain script logo and a tradmarked logo? North Carolina has their NC logo, which is free because its just letters, and their trademarked logo that has the ram head over the NC. Duke has their D logo, which is free because its just a letter, and the D with the blue devil in the middle that is trademarked. Oregon State has an OS logo, which is free because its just letters, and their trademarked logo with the beaver head. Just because they have one logo does not make the other discontinued. SCHOOLS CAN HAVE MULTIPLE LOGOS!! FREE AND TRADEMARKED!!! The SSU logo that is free and SHOULD be used on this page and if you continue to say that it has been discontinued then you just flat are blind because you can't see it in the new logo. In terms of legal usage of the logo the answer to your question is "No." The logo you are posting is not a registered trademark of the university, thus the use was discontinued. To use it on articles after it was discontinued is inaccurate information. I will continue to remove it until you are able to show me an established Misplaced Pages policy that authorizes the use inaccurate images in an article for decoration purposes.

On a separate note: Your continued personal attacks and name calling in your edit summaries and on this page in my opinion are uncivil and are in direct violation of Misplaced Pages's policy. I will not engage in any further discussion with you regarding this article or any other issue if you cannot elevate your tone to one of respect due to a fellow editor. We can disagree, but you should learn to do so civilly. 20:13, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

You can't trademark letters! It's free to use because its just letters! And how about addressing my question? Do you aknowledge that it is the exact same SSU that the tiger is on? Because if it is then it can be used because it IS THE EXACT SAME LOGO and has not been discontinued because we are LOOKING RIGHT AT IT!!! What about that do you not understand? From the Editor

Welcome to the August 2013 issue of the WikiProject Christianity newsletter. We focus on the historical Jesus and reflect on the last month.

The project has another featured picture, The ruins of Holyrood Chapel, a digitisation of an oil-on-canvas painting. Our top-importance article, Jesus, has been nominated for Featured Article status, the discussion can be seen here; Knights of Colombus has also been nominated as a FAC.

Ecgbert (bishop) and Church architecture in Scotland have both this month achieved Good Article status.

Our project had several of its articles featured in the main page DYK section, including Hinckley Priory, Little Chapel, St Peter's Church, Ropsley, Chip Ingram, St John the Evangelist's Church, Corby Glen, Great George Street Congregational Church, St Mary's Church, Walton-on-the-Hill and Bunge church.

Our thanks go to all of those who have worked to achieve these article milestones.

THE
HISTORICAL JESUS

What was Jesus like? What did he preach? Did he claim to be the Messiah? Did he predict an apocalypse? What can we know about him outside a religious context? The Historical Jesus article discusses what can be known about Jesus with various degrees of probability. While scholars agree on the over all flow and outline of Jesus' life (his baptism by John, debated Jewish authorities, healings, and his crucifixion by Pilate) they have built various and diverging portraits of the rest of his life. These range from minimalist portraits that accept very little of the gospel accounts to maximalists who accept most of the accounts as historical.

The portraits of Jesus have at times been unwitting reflections of the researchers themselves, and Crossan once quipped that some authors "do autobiography and call it biography". However, the study of historical Jesus has made one thing clear: there is so much to learn about Jesus that the more one looks, the more there is to discover.
