The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (also known under the acronym TCEB) is a public organization established by a Royal Decree with an objective to promote Thailand as a destination for international business meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (acronym MICE).

History

Establishment of TCEB was published in the Royal Gazette on September 18, 2002. TCEB became operational in 2004 and has been in operation since that point in time. The Royal Thai Government established TCEB under the office of Prime Minister to be the flagship organization in charge of promoting, developing as well as regulating, coordinating and facilitating domestic and international MICE events held in Thailand. One of the Bureau’s roles is to encourage the inclusion of Thai arts and culture in these events in order to promote the national heritage.

TCEB has identified following mission guidelines:

  • To augment Thailand’s MICE industry’s contribution to the Thai economy; and
  • To develop the fundamentals and best practices of Thailand’s MICE industry in order to seriously compete in the international arena for MICE business.
