TX-14
Let me explain why I deleted TX-14 here, where I have more room. We're only including districts where the incumbent is or is considering retirement or where s/he may be in a competitive reelection. To determine how vulnerable an incumbent is to a potential or declared challenger we need a verifiable, non-partisan source saying that the incumbent may be vulnerable. For instance, regarding SC-04, we have a Politico page saying the incumbent, Bob Inglis, is vulnerable to a primary challenge. For RI-01 we have an article from The Hill saying that Congressman Patrick Kennedy may be vulnerable to a Republican challenger despite Kennedy representing a very Democratic district.
The problem with the source you provided is that it is not non-partisan, it's clearly pro- Ron Paul. If we had a source such as CQ or Politico saying Paul may be vulnerable to Jeffrey Cherry that would merit putting TX-14 on the 2008 House page. But since we don't, we have no reason to see Paul as vulnerable to a primary challenge. Just drawing a challenge isn't enough to warrant placing TX-14 on the page: we need a non-partisan source telling us that Paul may be in danger. This doesn't mean that Cherry won't become competitive or isn't already competitive, it just means that until we have a credible source saying Paul may be in danger, we shouldn't include TX-14.
I hope this made more sense than my other explanation did. If you have any questions about what I said or disagreements, please put them on the 2010 House Elections discussion page. CylonCAG (talk) 01:07, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Homer Simpson.svg)
Thanks for uploading File:Homer Simpson.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:27, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Obama Timeline
Great work and additions. My hope is that you won't mind if I caution you to be brief and controlled in your descriptions, etc. It is a timeline which is intended to be a chronology of "He was here, He did that. He met her:then signed a bill into law.'" with as little commentary as possible. The wider the door to commentary gets, the more political POV's we will encounter as the Administration proceeds. So far, it has been understood. Again, great edits and photos. (Not to sure about Judge Sotomayor Mom comments)...Take Care....--Buster7 (talk) 01:58, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

- That's fine, I put it in quotes because I had actually taken it from the CNN article that I added as a reference, and Secretary Clinton had used the exact word "reset" a few months ago in regards to Russian relations, but I see no problem in changing it to "restructure." Overlinked
I noticed you tagged the article Christina Tchen as overlinked. I routinely check this category, and so I noticed this. I must say I do not see any irrelevant links in this article. Nor does it seem overly linked to me. It might be that the problem is the other way around: that there should be more text in this article. Anyway, I'd like to ask you to reconsider, or to remove any links you deem superfluous yourself. Debresser (talk) 23:01, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I was referring to all of the redlinks within the article. Is that not the correct Template to use in that case? Gage (talk) 23:04, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- Did you read Misplaced Pages:Red link? Based on that, I would say that all redlinks in this article may be kept. I agree with you that is leaves to be desired from an estetic point of view, but I think they are all valid redlinks. Consequently, IMHO, this article is not overlinked. Debresser (talk) 00:20, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Obama kids
Hello - I'll have to look for it - there were discussions about whether there should be a separate article(s) for the girls and it was decided that they didn't have independent notability, so were more appropriately handled as part of the family article. If you could hold off, I'll locate the discussions. You're of course welcome to discuss it, and if consensus has changed, that's fine - but please don't just reinstate. Thanks Tvoz/talk 06:44, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Here's the delete discussion (speedy delete, in fact) for an earlier version of an article about Malia - there may have been additional discussions as well. I'll take a look tomorrow. Tvoz/talk 06:51, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Right, I was aware of that discussion, and that consensus of deletion was made before Obama's election as president. Anyway, if there were any other discussions regarding the article more recently, I would be glad to have a look at those as well. Thanks again. Gage (talk) 06:59, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

You're right it doesnt matter, I am sure the image will be replaced with her official supreme court portrait once it is taken anyway. -TriiipleThreat (talk) 16:30, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hence the reason why I tentively readded her circuit court image, which I had previously removed. I think the circuit court image can suffice until her official Associate Justice portrait is released, so I will readd it now, unless you object. Gage (talk) 16:40, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Miss Universe svg map
Hi! It's not that I have an issue against svg format. I just prefer using the png version for the Miss Universe 2009 results map for the sake of consistency--all results map since 1952, as well as for the other major pageants, are not just in png formats, but also use the world map version with connectors. Hence, if svg format is the preferred version of this great editor, then kindly backtrack all the remaining maps just for the pageant maps to hold the same format. Joey80 (talk) 02:36, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi Gage, I have colleagues who work for Avid Technologies and they asked me to reach out to you because they have a new trademarked logo which is the legally approved version. I don't believe I have privileges to overwrite the logo you had put up at http://en.wikipedia.org/Avid_Technology. I have it in JPG (see link below where I posted it to my Facebook page) ... please let me know if you can help us with this or give advice?

- Okay, I've uploaded a new version. Is that sufficient for your new trademarked logo? And feel free to upload the JPG version, if it isn't. If you're too new, you can just make ten edits and you should be able to upload images. Gage (talk) 19:37, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Family guy does not have season DVD releases and the seasons are spread out on multiple volumes. For the case of season 5, it was released on volume5 and the second part on volume 6. Mark Sanford on 2012 Republican Primary Page?
I think the Sanford debate will never end, lol. I have 3 sources that are still discussing Mark Sanford in conjunction to 2012 that are less than 6 months old, but JerzeyKydd is still insisting that discussion for him has ceased for 6 months. The sources I added are less than 6 months. I agreed to take down Ensign because no one is talking him in conjunction 2012, but why are people still talking about Sanford in conjunction 2012? Also, I noticed in the image description that you used the Family Guy Volume 1 DVD as a source, do you own this DVD? - A recurring character is a supporting character, such as a coworker, a family friend, local celebrities, extended relatives and townspeople. With most of these characters as one-time jokes, a number of them have garnered expanded roles and have subsequently starred in future episodes, as well as in their own episodes. Death, Consuela and Angela are just a few examples of this. Gage (talk) 05:36, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

There seems to be yet another debate over Mark Sanford and now whether not Bobby Jindal should remain on this page. Since you are an editor on this page, I was hoping you would be interested in joining the discussion at the link below.
Please provide your feedback! Thanks so much!

Rand Paul
You made a mistake. MJ787123 is the vandal on the Rand Paul page, I am the one who just recently corrected all his stuff. And put your previous photos back where they were.
Also, re:Rand Paul's middle name, yes I have a source. If you go here: https://cdcbp.ky.gov/VICWeb/VIC and look up Randal Paul and his date of birth, you can see his middle name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CullVernon (talk • contribs) 09:00, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
A couple of things
Hi. I've been looking over your contributions and you certainly seem to do good work here. I've gone ahead and issued you rollback rights. Please be careful with the privilege - it can be easily lost. I recommend you carefully read up on the what you should do and should not do with rollback, then practice here before using it. I'm confident you'll use it wisely. If for some reason you don't want it, let me know and I'll revert. You may wish to display {{User rollback}}
on your user page.
The other thing, is you really should start archiving this talk page. It's getting rather long and unweildy.
Happy editing. Toddst1 (talk) 14:36, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Kentucky senate race
If a primary election has two or more candidates who have photos, than there is no reason not to have it.--Jerzeykydd (talk) 12:36, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- No other Senate article has photos. It is not necessary, especially since you continually removed the three minor candidate's photos and names from the Republican candidates section, to have photos. It is irrelevent. Gage (talk) 20:47, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Election result tables in United States Senate election in California, 2010
Hi GageSkidmore! It appears that you have reverted the formating for the primary result tables at United States Senate election in California, 2010. You have replaced Template:Election box begin no party no change, which is intended for use in non-partisan and primary elections, with Template:Election box begin no change, which is intended only for partisan elections. It doesn't really make sense to use Template:Election box begin no change because there is no need to list which party each candidate belongs to in a primary election. I understand that some other articles may use the formating that you prefer, but I feel that is both irrelevant and erroneous since the other formating is better suited for this type of election. – Zntrip 23:46, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
- Elections held in California are no different from the rest of the country. It is irrelevent whether the party is shown or not, however, every other article in relation to the 2010 midterm elections, besides those held in California apparently, use the format that I have attempted and reattempted to include in the article. Ignoring that fact does not rationalize your explanation for inclusion of the supposed "non-partisan" format. Gage (talk) 23:52, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense to list the party name five times in a row when its a given that all the candidates belong to the same party. It's redundant. Just because the other template is used in other articles is irrelevant; did it ever occur to you that perhaps the format of the other articles can be changed? Other than the fact that Template:Election box begin no change is used elsewhere, is there any other reason that it should be used in place of Template:Election box begin no party no change? – Zntrip 00:07, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- If you want to use the no party template in the article, then fine. My opinion of the matter is still unchanged. Gage (talk) 00:12, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Misplaced Pages:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:32, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

I don't actually read The Mail on Sunday because it is an organ of racism and social malnutrition, but I'd guess the review is out of five stars. It's not really a "review" so much as a "pick of the day" thing. The full text is: "Family Guy 10PM, BBC3 **** / Two more new episodes of Seth MacFarlane's crazy, frequently brilliant animated comedy, opening with Stewie (left) taking drastic measures to get on TV." I just added it because otherwise the article won't have a reception section until the DVD comes out in the States. Bradley0110 (talk) 12:12, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Spies Reminiscent of Us
Hi! I am wanting to clear this article from the Requests page and was wondering if you want the whole article done, or just the marked section? I find the plot section intimidating in its length and would not know how to trim it effectively as I have not seen the episode and do not know which events were the most important. I will go ahead with the marked section for now. --Diannaa 02:42, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I think the whole article would be most beneficial. If you cut something important out, I'll try to readd it, as I am very familiar with the episode. Gage (talk) 04:32, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- OK, I got through it. If you could explain the last bit: How does "Thriller" help Ackroyd hack into the missle guidance system? --Diannaa 21:10, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- If I remember correctly, it's the code used to disarm the missile system. Gage (talk) 02:37, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- OK. I incorporated it in a general way as I don't know what the code was exactly. I like the way it reads now anyway so I think its ok the way it is. Good luck with your GA nomination. :-)) --Diannaa 03:07, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Re: Family Guy
I'll be happy to do the reviews, I do like Family Guy, though I haven't seen it for a while, and I actually gotta do some reviews, cause I got a bunch of nominations over there. Example—for the note on my talkpage—when I put "No Chris Left Behind" on hold, that means not to leave a message that you're done with my concerns, cause I add the reviews to my watchlist, and I see the activity of what's going on. But, since you left me that one message regarding the reviews, it's fine cause we talking about the same thing, so. ;) Also, if you could review "Kidney Now!" it would be most appreciated, cause like you, I'm trying to get the episode's season to GT status and that's the last episode I need for it to be promoted. -- ThinkBlue (Hit BLUE) 18:15, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. I've went ahead and reviewed the episode that you noted. Gage (talk) 18:43, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- FYI, so you know, and not that I would bring into question either of your reviews or submissions, cause I know you are both great editors, and review fairly, but someone brought up a conflict of interest when User:Qst and myself used to review each others GACs. - Ok no probs - i am just about to watch Futurama though and having a little problem with another editor so maybe in 40 mins or so ? Chaosdruid (talk) 22:29, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
The second section of the plot was a little tricky to say the least ! Dog Brian and Human stewie I have tried to put as just Brian and Stewie to cut down on the confusing amount of Dog and Human references. The same is true for the universes and at the end of the second para I have used "original universe" to try and differentiate.
Most of it was commas which are normally used to add extra info not needed in the sentence. Using that rule it is easiest to read the sentence and skip the bit in commas. If the sentence makes sense then the commas are ok, and if it doesn't we try to rearrange the sentence and use a few commas as possible. I hope I didn't do too badly on that score :¬)
K - finished. Have a look and tell me if you think it's ok. I tried to save it often so that you can revert anything you deem to have changed too much or made it incomprehensible :¬)
Chaosdruid (talk) 01:22, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- The only mistake I was able to spot was where you changed a sentence to say that Seth Green executive produced the Robot Chicken sequence in the episode, when what I was really saying was that he is the executive producer for the actual Robot Chicken show. Other than that, some of the sentences do seem like run-ons without commas, so I think a second opinion would be beneficial. Or if the sentences can be better rearranged, feel free to take a shot at it, I'll try to correct anything if I find something like what I just mentioned. Gage (talk) 01:27, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry I didnt see your message till after I posted here. The large amount of commas that were in there were more like a speech where one may need to breath between carrying on. It is true that most people seem to think that short sentences are the only thing peoples brains can cope with - maybe thats true lol but to me there are none that are too long.
- The Seth Green thing I understand, I think that as you had already mentioned he was the prod of RobotChicken may have been enough, but maybe you could add a little more to the sentence (I assume it was the one in the Cultural references section ?) to point that out again
- Chaosdruid (talk) 01:36, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ah sorry - I just looked at the diffs and I admit complete stupidity in that edit - I did make him into the producer lol - apologies for that Chaosdruid (talk) 01:39, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. I asked for a second opinion, so hopefully they'll take a look at the article and fix anything else, in regards to the commas, which I can see why some should have been removed. If you know anyone willing to take a look at the article, I'd appreciate it if you could get their opinion on the article, as I am hoping to get it to FA status after the peer review is complete. Hey, I saw your request on my talk page and I looked at the article a bit. Did the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike affect the sixth or seventh season? The lead says the sixth and the Production and development section says the seventh season. Just wanted some clarification.Derild4921☼ 15:33, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well, it affected both actually, as the sixth season was cut short (and not because their weren't anymore episodes to air), but the seventh season was essentially the conclusion to the sixth season production line. And the eighth season began anew. Gage (talk) 15:37, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
FG FT
Do you need me to watch the commentaries (if there are some), or did you do that?
- All the Back to the Future references are unsourced.
- Also imdb is not a valid reference for Kenny Loggin's song.
- Is the explanation of Stewie throwing up the wine important?
- I think "Brian later gets a gun under Texas state law at a liquor store, while buying a bottle of Jack Daniels. Throwing away the gun, it goes off, exciting Brian. He shoots the gun in the air five more times before the Super Devil falls dead to the ground in front of him, with a pool of blood forming around the body. " is probably irrelevant to the plot
- Not sure the ending, about Peter criticizing people who criticize Family Guy, while funny, is not really important to the plot.
- Should DVD info be in the Reception section, instead of Production?
- Only concern is, as with above, if DVDs should go to Reception.
I made minor adjustments on all 3, but want to discuss these with you before I changed them. Let me know if I need to watch the commentaries. CTJF83 chat 18:13, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- I already watched them, and wasn't able to get much out of them. The only article I've concentrated on expanding so far was No Meals on Wheels because it just happened to be on Adult Swim last night. Pretty sure Boys Do Cry is on tonight's and I'll try to get the article put together a little better. And the DVD info should stay in the production section.
- And as for the references in the cult ref section of Meet the Quagmires, I had nothing to do with it being unsourced, but that episode is on tomorrow I believe, and I wanted to just start from scratch. Gage (talk) 02:00, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, that's fine, I'll help clean all 3 up. CTJF83 chat 19:11, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

To quote C-SPAN's own copyright policy, "Although C-SPAN is the only news media organization that regularly televises the legislative proceedings of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate, it does not hold a copyright in that video coverage. That government-produced video is in the public domain which means that it belongs to the American people and may be used without restrictions of any kind." Regardless of what they state on their page, no one can unilaterally withdraw media from the public domain. harej 05:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Superb job on the Comic-Con pictures. I was interested in going this year, but didn't get a ticket before they sold out. Unfortunately, every year they seem to think 50 minutes of mostly uninformative Q&A is the most entertaining, so this year's panel once again consisted of Groening, Al Jean, Matt Selman, and Mike B. Simply listing the casting director, the producers, etc. does not create an intriguing production section. That is what the DVD commentary is for, if it is available, and that's what interviews about the episode is for. Please wait a while before nominating any more articles. - Nominated the splendid source, and could you take a look at chitty chitty death bang to tell me if its close to gan. --Pedro J. 20:46, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- I think it is a great improvement. I moved Povenmire's photo down a few paragraphs though, as it was a little bit crowded being right next to MacFarlane's, but do feel free to add it to the actual article, as it may better help distinguish it as the hallmark that it is. - And looking at your sandbox, it just seems to be a carbon copy of Death Has a Shadow, which I'm sure would result in the article being nominated for merging into the Death Has a Shadow article anyway. Gage (talk) 15:02, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Hello, Gage. It appears my recent edits to the article I Never Met the Dead Man have been reverted. The sources for several of the cultural references appears to be the Family Guy Volume 1 DVD. Gage i see 8 season and it looks good it could be a futre FLC but first it would need a PR, so tell me if you think so as well i am working on the 1 seaons but as well it needs a PR, but just saying, tell me what youthink. --Pedro J. 09:04, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
- I do not think a peer review is necessary. I would like to expand the article before anything else is done though, and then get someone from the GOCE to copyedit it, specifically the plots, which really need to be cut down by someone who has not seen the episodes. Sure, I'll take a look at the article, though, didn't Ophois keep the GA status? -- ThinkBlue (Hit BLUE) 21:46, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Good article reassessment/Hell Comes to Quahog/1
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I undid your closing of the discussion at Misplaced Pages:Good article reassessment/Hell Comes to Quahog/1 because per the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Good article reassessment, "discussions which have lasted more than 4 weeks can be closed with no consensus". Although the article was listed more than four weeks ago, the reassessment discussion was started less than four weeks ago.--BelovedFreak 19:58, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Also, although there don't seem to be any particular instructions about who may or may not close the discussion, given that it's not a clear consensus, it might be better if someone without a vested interest on the outcome closed it. Just a thought... (I wouldn't close it either) --BelovedFreak 20:01, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of List of Conan episodes
I have nominated List of Conan episodes, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/List of Conan episodes. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Question
Do ytou think it would be a bad idea to make a Quahog artical, comparing it to Springfield (The Simpsons). --Pedro J. 23:30, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- It's been attempted in the past, including by myself, and I would oppose its creation. Gage (talk) 23:39, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- You have how did it finish up being, and why? --<fon color="Orange">Pedro J. 02:26, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

- I am atempting to get it at par with SPringfieled you can see on one of my sandboxes the version i made put now i am not sure to even publish it. --Pedro J. 02:37, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

- I would still oppose its creation. For now. In a couple years, when it becomes more distinct, like Springfield is, having existed for twenty seasons, then it can be created. I'm not saying we need to wait another decade, but just when it becomes a larger part of the series' distinction. It'd be sort of like creating an article for Stoolbend, Virginia or Langley Falls, Virginia. Gage (talk) 03:00, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe wait until the movie comes out? --Pedro J. 03:05, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

fg episode list
What is the advantage of having the main episode list NOT link to the season pages? It just makes sure everything is correct between the two, and it is easier to spot errors/vandalism, as well as making it easier for edits. Grande13 (talk) 13:34, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- Your claim that it is easier to spot errors and vandalism is irrelevent. There have been no difficulties in monitoring either. Additionally, multiple users at FLC have requested that a ratings column be added to the season eight article, as the information is readily available. This information is not available for most of the early seasons, and would make the list inconsistent. The article is fine the way it is. Gage (talk) 20:24, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- the ratings info can go at the bottom of the season page then to fix that situation. Please dont revert main list until a discussion is had.Grande13 (talk) 05:00, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Conan (TV series)
Hi. I get that you've put a lot of work into this article and that you are passionate about the subject, and the show. However, now that the show has premiered, and it is clear what the show's format entails, there is enough information out there to remove most of the information that is duplicated in 2010 Tonight Show conflict. I understand how it may feel that a lot of your hard work is grounds to be deleted now, but the time is now. Milchama (talk) 20:01, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
- Continue to revert me, and I will gladly report you to WP:3RR. I do not know why you believe you have any right to remove any information from the article, especially without consensus, but your understanding of creating a well researched article, and continually claiming that a show that has been on for three weeks is somehow established is absurd. Main page appearance
Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on December 24, 2010. You can view the TFA blurb at Misplaced Pages:Today's featured article/December 24, 2010. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article director, Raul654 (talk · contribs). If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Misplaced Pages doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! "Road to the Multiverse" is the first episode of the eighth season of the animated comedy series Family Guy. Directed by Greg Colton and written by Wellesley Wild, the episode originally aired on Fox in the United States on September 27, 2009. In "Road to the Multiverse", two of the show's main characters, baby Stewie and anthropomorphic dog Brian, who are voiced by series creator Seth MacFarlane (pictured), use an "out-of-this-world" remote control to travel through a series of various parallel universes. They eventually end up in a world where dogs rule and humans obey. This causes Brian to become reluctant to return home to his own universe, and he ultimately ends up breaking the remote, much to the dismay of Stewie, who soon seeks a replacement. The "Road to" episodes which have aired throughout various seasons of Family Guy were inspired by the Road to... comedy films starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour, though this episode was not originally conceived as a "Road to" show. Critical responses to the episode were mostly positive; critics praised its storyline, numerous cultural references, and its use of various animation styles. (more...)

Moe Howard Photo
Hello Gage, I am curious about something. You get acknowledgement for the originator of the Moe Howard picture on Moe's wikipedia entry. I am wondering how that originated. If you notice the inscription on the photo, the name "Dave" is on there. Well, I am that Dave. That was a photo sent to me by Moe when I was roughly 12 years old in 1971. Years ago I uploaded that picture to a 3 Stooges website. I'm not really concerned that its being used all over the internet. I am more curious how someone else takes credit as the originator or maybe you can explain to me how "originator" is defined. Thank you very much.
Dave —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.39.237.72 (talk) 22:06, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- What you are referring to is unchangable, as it simply notes the user who uploaded the image, not the originator of the image. If you were to upload an image, your name would appear instead. I have not attempted to take credit for the image. Gage (talk) 22:19, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:FOX 38 logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:FOX 38 logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Hand That Rocks the Wheelchair Family Guy promo.png
Thank you for uploading File:The Hand That Rocks the Wheelchair Family Guy promo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 07:49, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Talk:Road to... (Family Guy)/GA2
Hi there! I have commenced the above Good Article review, and the article is genuinely quite good and in principle is capable of being passed during this review process. However, about halfway through the review it has become clear that you have not performed an adequate copyedit of the article prior to nominating it, as there are a raft of frustrating minor typos scattered throughout the text. I started fixing some but there really are a lot and I do not have time to do the work of improving the article to GA standard for you. Accordingly I have halted the review, pending you or another editor undertaking a thorough copyedit of the article to eliminate the typos. (Some examples of these are on the current incomplete review.) When the copyedit is complete please let me know on my talk page and I will resume the GA review. Best wishes - DustFormsWords (talk) 02:00, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Question regarding the wikipage entitled "Republican Party (United States) presidential primaries, 2012"
Sir:
My name is Ian McKendrick, and I am the Events Scheduler for Mr. Jon Greenspon.
Mr. Greenspon is an FEC Registered Republican Candidate for the 2012 Presidential Election. We have on three different occassions come to Misplaced Pages, and entered his name and information into the page "Republican Party (United States) presidential primaries, 2012", only to find it removed within 48 hours.
we are aware that Misplaced Pages is "community-edited", so there is no central contact for information. WE have also looked and found that you are a "regular maintainer" of the page, so we were wondering if you can determine how we are constntly losing our information, and/or how to put it in properly.
We would be very interested in creating a page for Mr. Greenspon, but our Misplaced Pages skills are somewhat lacking.

Please sign up on the event page if you can attend, and if you'd like to participate virtually you can sign up on the Edit-a-Thon page. ---LoriLee (talk) 15:10, 17 August 2011 (UTC) |
Where is the discussion?
Where is the discussion? You seem to just want to edit war. I am ready to discuss. Why is your image better? Why should an image with an unnatural expression of the subject, which another user labeled as mechanical, and which covers the subject's eyes and obscures his hair be used? Because it is clearer? That's not reason enough. You need to provide a better rationale for your edits and initiate discussion to change the consensus.--William S. Saturn (talk) 04:18, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've reached out to you on multiple occasions. I've used your images countless number of times and have always been willing to discuss issues with you. It seems very clear now that you are uninterested in providing free content or building a 💕 for the masses. You are here to promote yourself first and foremost, and that is not the point of this project. I hope you can reassess your reasons for editing here. If you'd like to promote yourself further then perhaps you should create your own website.--William S. Saturn (talk) 04:56, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- I agree. You do seem to be edit warring for promotional purposes. If you want your photos in articles, suggest them on the article's talk page, don't add them directly. I'm sure you are aware of WP:COI. If you continue to add this particular photo, you'll be blocked. Dougweller (talk) 06:37, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- The claim of edit warring for promotional purposes is misguided. Maybe you should just WP:AGF for a second here - Gage doesn't need to donate the images he takes to the project and we should be grateful that he is in the first place. He is just trying to improve the graphical quality of some pages by adding his images, I see no harm in that and see no reason for people to be accusing him of edit warring for promotional purposes. We don't need to drive another valued contributor off this project. Connormah (talk) 21:51, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi
Just a heads up that I've addressed you (...well, um, not by name--came back to click your talk page link after I tossed it off; sorry! 2012 election
Hey, I want to thank you so much for adding those photos to Misplaced Pages. You really have enriched Misplaced Pages.
I also want to tell you that User:William Saturn has expressed some serious ownership issues on the Republican Party primaries, 2010 page, and he's been getting really fussy about the Jonathon Sharkey image. I don't know what noticeboard handles this, but he's been doing a lot of disruptive editing lately, and it has to stop.--Screwball23 talk 06:49, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Griffin family tree revert war
Just leave it in. It's no more short-sightedly in-universe trivia than 70% of current Family Guy article content, and the article itself is of dubious value to begin with. If you want to go to war against WP:IN-U in FG articles, you'll have my support, but this isn't a meaningful place to take a stand.
Deleting the article might make sense. Revert warring on it is pointless. / edg ☺ ☭ 10:50, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Evidence
Please show me the consensus for removing sourced candidates from the 2008 election page.--William S. Saturn (talk) 05:41, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- I've already explained myself in the edit summary. Continue reverting, and I will report you to WP:3RR. Gage (talk) 05:43, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- I'm trying to have a reasonable discussion with you. You have not pointed to any consensus for the edits you have made. Further, in what world is it neutral or even consistent to list Randall Terry and all the third party candidates, but not notable Republican candidates?--William S. Saturn (talk) 05:46, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- You're right, Randall Terry should be removed as well. Gage (talk) 05:50, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Based on what? Read the talk page, there's no consensus to remove candidates from any page.--William S. Saturn (talk) 05:52, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) I readded them in list format, which was specifically discussed in the compromise proposal, and what was unanimously agreed upon amongst all but one contributor. If you want them to appear in the gallery, then obtain consensus in the compromise proposal. I've already stated my strong opposition to your proposal. Gage (talk) 06:02, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Okay. I like what you're doing now, but there's a problem differentiating the Democratic candidates since there were no debates.--William S. Saturn (talk) 06:00, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Then they should appear in the list format, just as the Republicans are. The reason there are no debates is because the candidates have not been invited, just as Roemer, Martin, Karger, etc. haven't. Gage (talk) 06:05, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Then Obama would have to be removed from the gallery as well.--William S. Saturn (talk) 06:08, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- He will be participating in several national debates following the primaries. This is why I almost considered proposing the criteria of holding national or statewide office, which would've allowed Roemer to stay in the major candidates list. Gage (talk) 06:13, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- That's kind of crystal-ballish, wouldn't you say? And a criteria of holding national or statewide office would exclude Herman Cain. There is no political elite in the United States, so let's put aside those kind of measures.--William S. Saturn (talk) 06:21, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- The criteria of holding office would be in addition to the debate criteria, not the sole criteria, and wouldn't be an exclusion factor for those who have participated, and vice versa... Gage (talk) 06:22, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I think if it were an and/or thing, that would be better, and allow Roemer like I noted earlier. Gage (talk) 06:25, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- That would make sense as long as it is inclusive rather than exclusive. But is it fair to include Roemer just because he was a governor while excluding Karger, who's actually doing better?--William S. Saturn (talk) 06:32, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- That would be something that should be discussed like the compromise proposal was. Gage (talk) 06:44, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

request
Hey Gage,
We've edited a number of political articles together, and I appreciate your work. Again, I have to thank you for sharing your photos here on Misplaced Pages. They are really valuable to our articles, and I am looking forward to seeing more from the campaign trail! :-)
Now, the request I'm asking you is one that I feel would be very valuable to wikipedia, and will take at least 15-20 minutes to put together. I've been editing Muammar Gaddafi for some time now, and I think it would be great to have a visual to understand his sphere of influence. What I'm talking about is a world map that conveys places he's visited personally, warred with, and attempted to merge. I see you have done a great job with the straw poll 2012 map, and I think you would do an awesome job. In fact, I'm so confident of that, I'm willing to give you a barnstar for your hard work. If this sounds interesting to you, please send me a message and I'll share the list of countries with you.
Sincerely,

Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring after a review of the reverts you have made on Talk:Quagmire's Baby. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.
Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. NO PARTIAL RETURNS
Misplaced Pages is not for breaking news. DO NOT re-edit West Virginia gubernatorial special election, 2011 with any more partial returns from the AP. Only a full count from the West Virginia elections division is acceptable as a source in this context. XINOPH | TALK 01:24, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
Partial Returns
Stop adding partial returns to West Virginia gubernatorial special election, 2011. Only add the full returns once 100% of the precincts have reported. I was incorrect above; the AP is a fine source, but only when the results are complete. XINOPH | TALK 01:28, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for getting the point about the partial returns. This is just the sort of thing we should wait for around here.

- WP:BREAKING exactly mentions what I am "attempting to disseminate": It is wise to delay writing an article about a breaking news event until the significance of the event is clearer as early coverage may lack perspective and be subject to factual errors. Partial election returns are the very definition of "early coverage which may be subject to factual errors." Incomplete election returns fall exactly under this category. The only disruptive edits here have been by you. XINOPH | TALK 01:59, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Courtesy reminder wrt need to use talkpage and leave edit summaries when doing controversial edits eg removal/article content
Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively. Please be particularly aware, the edit warring guidelines recommend to 'not edit war even if you believe you are right. Rather, if you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. Hey, I noticed that...
...your talkpage has perhaps gotten slightly long. That can be a problem for Wikipedians with a slow Internet connection plus there are discussions with no replies since 2009. If you like, I could set up a chronological archive (that's searchable for past topics). For an example, take a look at my talk page, with past messages archived at my Archive 1 and my Archive 2. If you'd rather not archive, that's cool too...your talkpage, your call - just thought I'd offer. Cheers, Shearonink (talk) 16:49, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Edit warring over the map on Republican presidential primaries
OK, this has to stop. I was --> <-- this close to handing out a block, but I figured that a warning might be good enough. You have been reverting without any sort of discussion (or indeed any edit summary until one recent edit) in the last ten days, while there is at least one talk page discussion in which pretty much everyone else disagreed with your (apparent) view. Edit warring is bad enough, but edit warring during an ongoing discussion with an apparent consensus against you is much worse. So take this as your last warning: the next time I see you reverting these maps, without discussing and getting consensus for it on the talk page in advance, you'll be taking a 24-hour break. T. Removing my images
Hey Gage - You and I both work hard to take our photos, and it's very rare that I just summarily remove your images from an article without placing them somewhere else on the article, particularly when they are high quality. I've lately noticed that you are doing that to my work. I have a pretty good photo of Michelle Willams, but you just removed it to put yours in its place, without any thought or consideration whether mine might work better in the article somewhere else, particularly to replace perhaps lower quality images found on the article (which there are many). You know I have a lot of respect for what you do, and I show that respect by not just ripping your images off an article and replacing them with my own. Almost always, I take your photo and put it somewhere else on the article. I'd appreciate the same courtesy. Beyond that, it doesn't make it seem like you are only about putting your photos up, but judging what's best for the article and contemplating the changes you make in benefit of our readers. We all work hard to take our photos. --David Shankbone 06:17, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Removal of John Jay Myers Picture and info from the list of general election candidates in the top right
There have been no polls since John Jay Myers has joined the race. He is on the General Election ballot, that is all that should matter. They raised enough to make an FEC filing, they have a strong website and enough of a following. What possible person would it serve to exclude valid candidates from an encyclopedia collection in regards to the election.
Also, is it really your job to judge who posted information in regards to is the information accurate.
The information is undeniably accurate.
I sense someone is just trying to intentionally damage the democratic process behind this.
Let's get this straightened away as soon as possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnjaymyers (talk • contribs) 21:57, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Include John Jay Myers!!!
Gage,
I am writing to protest your exclusion of John Jay Myers on the U.S. Senate Race in Texas. Misplaced Pages is supposed to be a level playing field, not a dictatorship. John Jay has much more to offer than the other two candidates in this race. First and foremost, he's not an establishment candidate, and is running in the 3rd largest political party in the United States which consistently has ballot access everywhere (a very difficult thing to do considering all the establishment-created bureaucracies and rules that 3rd parties have to overcome). He's also not a bigot, not an extremist, not a warmonger, not a zealot, not a big government statist, not a control freak, not a xenophobe, and not a paranoid schizophrenic, which is more than can be said about his competitors.
If insiders like yourself want to keep the people down by continuing to practice biased censorship, then Misplaced Pages has become a joke.

Do you have a link to wikipedia's policy on polling?
Also, since the primaries have ended there have been no polls. Not reported here, I understand from your political image page that you have a sort of bias, but that is okay.
But also from your pictures I see you understand the underdog, with the likes of Ron Paul on there. But it seems you endorse the idea that somehow candidates would gain popularity in polls, while not being listed fairly or talked about accurately in media.
Misplaced Pages is not a place for your opinion, it is a place for facts, polls are not facts, they are not absolute truths.
I would appreciate it if you would stop undo the changes others are making unless you are going to link the policy. I am sure you have no idea how hard the Libertarian Party has to work and how much we have to spend just to get on the ballot.
It's not as if there are 60 people running, we just want the 3 listed who will DEFINITELY be on the ballot, and let people investigate and find out more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnjaymyers (talk • contribs) 01:15, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

L.A. Reid photo
Hi Gage and thanks for the contribution to the L.A. Reid article. I've taken the liberty of locating it in the section that discusses the X Factor TV show instead of using it in the info box, where I think the existing photo (a long-term stable feature) serves the article better. But it is a very good add to the article, as I see it, and I am much obliged to you for taking the time to include it. I have retained the original caption despite some concerns about the photo credit. Thanks again, Jusdafax 04:38, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello. I've noticed you appear to be a regular attendant of Comic Con. I was wondering if by any chance you had attended a panel for Smallville, as we are currently looking for a cast photo if possible to help resolve a dispute. Orphaned non-free media (File:Boys Do Cry - Family Guy promo.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Boys Do Cry - Family Guy promo.png.

RE: United States Senate election in Missouri, 2012
Hi GageSkidmore. I wish to invie you to see, and join in, the discussion on the articles talk page before you remove the Libertarian candidate from the infobox again. It appears that in accepted valid polling he (Dine) is at 9-percent, well above the 5-percent required for inclusion. This is the third time you've removed his name by my count, so I'm urging you to join in the discussion and reach some consensus to avoid further edit warring. So far your recent removals haven't stated a reason for removal in the edit summary. Much thanks, and have a great Wiki kind of day! Sector001 (talk) 02:13, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

Presidential election imagemap
Much thanks for your dedication to File:ElectoralCollege2012.svg, but I specifically want to applaud you for the Template:United States presidential election, 2012 imagemap, which is even more impressive. I'm curious: is there a way to have the imagemap display larger (e.g., 500px) at United States presidential election, 2012#Results? I think the imagemap would be a great improvement there over the "naked" svg. — HipLibrarianship 03:42, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Nomination of Wil Cardon for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Wil Cardon is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Wil Cardon until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Schatz
Your reversion "based on the reference" was nothing of the sort. All that article says is that he will be sworn in on the 27th. It makes no claims that he only takes office then. Abercrombie said he had already appointed Schatz, and federal statute and the precedents of the Senate say that senators take office at appointment (unless the appointee holds a disqualifying federal office). -Rrius (talk) 10:17, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
Clinton, Kerry, Panetta & Hagel
Howdy. We don't add cabinet-nominees or potential cobinet-nominees to the infoboxes of related bios. GoodDay (talk) 02:51, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Please look back at 2008, as I did, there is precedent to have that information in the infobox. Gage (talk) 02:52, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- If so, that was a mistake. They shouldn't be added until they're confirmed by the Senate. PS: Hagel hasn't even been nominated 'yet'. GoodDay (talk) 02:56, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- It was a mistake for all 15 cabinet positions, and all 7 cabinet-level positions, from the time they were nominated, until their confirmation by the Senate? Please. Gage (talk) 02:59, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- I've brought up the topic at WP:United States Government. Meanwhile, I've re-reverted the Hagel addition, as he hasn't been nominated yet. GoodDay (talk) 03:02, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
- Nothing should be done for Panetta/Hagel until Obama actually announces the nomination - doing infobox changes based upon press reports just seems wrong. As for Clinton/Kerry and similar cases, one rule of thumb for maintaining WP sanity is not to edit war over things that are going to soon resolve themselves anyway. John Brennan
Hi GageSkidmore. After some consideration, I've declined your proposed deletion of John Brennan in order to move John O. Brennan to that title. Whilst his recent posting may lead to a flurry of searchers, we try to avoid recentism in editing. For a move like this, I'd expect to see some sort of consensus somewhere, but it doesn't appear to have been discussed anywhere - if you'd still like to see the page moved, I suggest listing it at Requested moves to allow other editors to comment on the proposal. Help with Alex Castellanos' article
Hi GageSkidmore, I noticed you recently added an infobox to Alex Castellanos' article and wondered if you'd be interested in helping to improve that article further? I've been researching and writing a new draft for the article for a while now and I am now looking for other editors to review my work. I've written the article on behalf of, and with input from, Alex Castellanos' communications firm Purple Strategies, so I won't be moving the draft live myself due to this COI. For now I have placed this draft in my user space here: User:16912_Rhiannon/Alex_Castellanos If you're interested in checking it out, please do so. I've also left a note on the article's talk page providing a little more detail about the changes I have made. You can see that here. I'm looking for feedback on the draft and, ultimately, an editor who is willing to take it live for me once it's ready. Thanks, 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 21:42, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Changes to infobox image
Hello. We discussed this a year ago, but it has come up again. There are active objections to your unilateral changes to many infoboxes, particularly across WP:ACTOR articles. Please stop and discuss your changes. You are not even using edit summaries. Elizium23 (talk) 04:29, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes. I am here because I noticed the change in the photo in an article I edit, and while the photo is one year newer, it does not necessarily improve or better illustrate the article, it is not a well formatted title, and it seems solely crafted to garner the poster good ego boosting credit, similar with his other contributions. He may be a good photographer providing helpful and appreciated images, and contributors certainly deserve credit, but the way in which he goes about it leaves something to be desired. I asked in the edit summary, and now on the talk page, and here, to discuss your photo placement on the article talk page. Your political crusading by removing third party candidates from the NC US Senate election page is deplorable. You should be ashamed of yourself for such blatant and unjustified censorship.

Whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not, the bottom line is Sean Haugh, the Libertarian WILL be on the ballot in November for US Senate in North Carolina. The State of North Carolina recognizes THREE parties: Republican, Democrat, and Libertarian. If a person who is qualified to hold the office pays the filing fee and says "Libertarian" for their party, they get on the ballot. Your omission of valid, accurate and encyclopedic information is simply WRONG. I will not give-in. I will not shut-up. Thank You, Eric Cable | Talk 13:13, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 10
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jeff DeWit, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Republican Party. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Mexican and Moroccan Fart Spirit Cutaways in Stewie Goes for a Drive
Hi! I noticed you were the major contributor to this article; thanks! I just added a paragraph in "Cultural References" describing the fart cutaway scenes. We need someone to transcribe/translate the Arabic cry of the swordsman. Cheers, Nissimnanach (talk) 20:03, 21 December 2014 (UTC)Nissimnanach

Hello Mr. Skidmore. I am curious as to how you obtained the image called Old Moe. The reason I ask is because that image is my own personal property as I am the "David" in which it is inscribed. Not only that, the information beneath it is incorrect. I obtained that picture at least a couple of years before his death. I am not asking you to remove it, but I'm just curious as to how you obtained it. Thank you.

Orphaned non-free image File:Phoenix Comicon logo.png
Thanks for uploading File:Phoenix Comicon logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:37, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:NBC Nightly News titlecard.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:NBC Nightly News titlecard.jpg.
Thank you. — Cirt (talk) 01:41, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
Please use edit summaries
Hi GageSkidmore. I noticed that you made quite a few edits recently that do not include edit summaries. For example, this edit removed sourced content, but didn't explain why. It's unclear if you disagreed with the wording, the sources, style, or just grammar. Could I prevail on you to try to use edit summaries on most, if not all, of your edits? It really helps with collaboration, and avoids unnecessary disputes, especially on politically-charged articles like Rand Paul. Thanks so much for your consideration.- MrX 13:40, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Edit summaries
You're still not using edit summaries and edits such as this seem to require them. You also didn't extend the courtesy of a reply to my previous post six weeks ago. Using edit summaries is a community norm, especially when reverting other editors. I see that several other editors have also requested that you use edit summaries, but you seem to have ignored them as well.
Why did you remove the POV tag and why do you still refuse to use edit summaries?- MrX 12:10, 28 March 2015 (UTC)

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Rand Paul, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. - MrX 02:01, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Mike Huckabee
Hello.
I would appreciate it if you could join me for a discussion on policy regarding the Mike Huckabee presidential campaign, 2016 article. Rather than continually reverting each other, I have sought to have this discussion. I brought it up several times in edit summaries but I apologize for not making the comment here sooner to direct your attention to it. I tried to directly address policies in my remarks there and I would be happy to discuss them. As of now, however, we must stick to the WP:STATUSQUO which has been, for nearly all prior candidates, to have the article started prior to the official announcement when possible. That is why I think we must keep it up until the RfC concludes. I hope to see you on the talk page. PrairieKid (talk) 01:08, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- I have opted to compromise. I left it as a redirect with additional content hidden. This does not discount the tp discussion. I just wanted to ensure you went into that discussion contently. If you do not want to take on that discussion, using actual policy, I will go on ahead again to removing the redirect and having the article. You need to be able to add something to your side. I made the change back to the redirect earlier today but I wanted to make sure you understood what I meant by it. Again, hope to see you on the talk page! PrairieKid (talk) 03:50, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Edit sums when replacing images
Hi Greg. I see you've been recently replacing quite a few images on articles for people connected to The Walking Dead (TV series) without leaving any edit sums explaining why you are doing so. Replacing images is not really considered to be a minor edit on Misplaced Pages and the reasons for doing so might not be so obvious to other editors. That's why it is almost always a good idea to leave an edit sum explaining why the edit was made. You can also add more a detailed explanation on the article's talk page if needed. In certain cases, such as simply changing the name of image, it's not such a big deal because the change is primarily cosmetic. However, when you replace an image that seems fine with one of your own images, like you did here at Melissa McBride, here at Andrew Lincoln, and here at Bill Plympton, the change should be explained. Without such an explanation, it might be seen as if you are just adding your own images to articles for the sake of adding them to articles. Editors should explain why they are removing any images from articles in the same way that they would do when removing any text from an article. FWIW, I see you've been doing similar things on other non-Walking Dead related articles too. So, it might be a good idea for you to go back and leave dummy edits or article talk page posts explaining the reasons why you replaced the image just to avoid any problems with other editors. If your reasoning is sound, then others will agree and a consensus will be established. This is just a suggestion because I see you've been "asked" about this kind of thing before on your user talk page. - Marchjuly (talk) 21:34, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
Images
Hi GageSkidmore, Please refrain from reuploading images taken from here - You may or may not be the legit photographer (Anyone can create a name and say they've uploaded an image),
Also If you are the genuine photographer than I fail to see what difference the title makes - There's link to the image and your name in the image description so I honestly see no point reuploading with a different name
Please stop otherwise you'll end up being blocked,
Thanks, –Davey2010 02:59, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
Carly Fiorina
First, can you find an example of a white background she is using in her campaign? Secondly, if you are going to use a non-colored background, you ought to upload a version with a transparent background, not a white background, as you see with all other logos. Look at the 2008 campaign logos, many of them have colored backgrounds throughout their respective campaigns. I think it should be maintained as it is used in practice. If not, you should make a transparent version of your white logo. Spartan7W § 15:53, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at John Popper shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. –Davey2010 00:41, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
