::I am intimately familiar with Misplaced Pages's rules. If there are aspects of any articles that I have contributed to that you believe are in violation of Misplaced Pages's rules, I am absolutely in favor of you identifying them and working to correct them. But just throwing up a tag on every page I've ever created I simply disagree with. These aren't arbitrary 'resume' pages, they are well constructed and resourced accounts of individuals following Misplaced Pages's guidelines for a neutral, encyclopedic account. If you feel there is a sentence that demonstrates puffery, or undue or anything, identify it! I'm all for making the entry as encyclopedic and factual as possible. But to say 'it reads like a resume' indicates you have an issue with how it is structured. It is structured like every other bio for a business person. I have nothing against your POV (and respect your right to not login, apologies), but I do object to just throwing up a tag for a page I've worked hard on and believe follows the rules just fine. ] (]) 21:01, 7 May 2015 (UTC) | ::I am intimately familiar with Misplaced Pages's rules. FPC
Hi Wintertanager,
Just wanted to welcome you to Featured pictures. Please don't be discouraged if your current nom doesn't get through. FPC can be a 'tough' place, but it's good to see new contributors there. Hope you can stay, add your opinion to other noms, and nominate again when you've got something you think is up to it. Cheers, --jjron (talk) 11:28, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
File:Blythe-Masters.jpg
Hi Wintertanager,
you have uploaded this image and credited author and source to Mrs. Blythe Masters. Besides that she may not really have shot it by herself, where/how did you get it. Did you contact her? Did she agree to the license under which you released it? Is there any email communication with her? I am asking this because I am admin on Commons, where the same image was uploaded by a different user. --Túrelio (talk) 09:45, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Blythe-Masters.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Blythe-Masters.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.crunchbase.com/person/blythe-masters. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Misplaced Pages's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 03:58, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 31
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rick Schwartz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Penthouse (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi!
Hi Wintertanager, hope you are doing well and everything is going good. Nice work on MT Carney, much appreciated. On the talk page there I've made a suggestion to change the article title to "M. T. Carney". Not a huge deal and with reasonable argument to made on both sides. Just a heads-up. Herostratus (talk) 03:57, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mark Ghuneim. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Misplaced Pages is not acceptable in any amount, and breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection.
