Whilst I fully agree with removing no-name actors from that cast list, I'm not sure about removing Alec Peters considering he is basically playing the "hero of the story" (both in ''Prelude'' as well as the full-length ''Axanar'' film in production right now). It would be like removing an actor playing George Washington from a cast list in a movie focusing on, and around, Washington's exploits in the ] (sorry, only thing I could come up with quickly) simply because nobody had heard of the actor. While the actor is a no-name, the part he is playing within the short-film (and the upcoming full-length film) is probably the most important compared to the characters played by all the known actors (ie., the character is the reason for the films in the first place). — ] (]) 11:05, 13 July 2015 (UTC) |

the knot
I've already requested semi protection. Just leave it there for the moment - reverting doesn't seem to be getting anywhere and I've seen editors blocked for far less aggressive (yet completely justified) edit warring recently. Cheers SmartSE (talk) 19:46, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Page creation
Obviously when I created the page, the page "Panagiotis Pikrammenos" did not exist. On the Prime Minister of Greece page the link was to Panagiotis Pikramenos (one "m"), which was a red link. They should be merged, but note the BBC uses one "m" in Pikram(m)enos. --Philly boy92 (talk) 12:43, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
The University of Wales
Dear Cameron Scott,
I noticed that you have completely undone the edits which this morning I had applied to the largely erroneous University of Wales Misplaced Pages article. The fundamental change which I was trying to affect in the article was to convey that the University of Wales is still fully operational, and is not - has not, nor will it be in the foreseeable future - abolished. One only has to visit the University of Wales webpage to find overwhelming evidence to support this - www.wales.ac.uk. In fact, the University is within the next 12 months to enter into a merger with the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David and Swansea Metropolitan University. However, despite several attempts to bring the article in question into having some semblance of factual accuracy, the applied edits are without fail ignored and altered back again within minutes, despite the inclusion of several links supporting what is undeniably true: that the University of Wales is NOT abolished, nor has it ever been.
I would therefore greatly appreciate if you could amend the article accordingly and to remove any reference to the University being in the past tense. Much of the information currently displayed is not only inacurate, but also carries the potential to cause much harm to the University of Wales brand, as well as its commercial operations, not to mention a lot of confusion and upset to prospective, current and past University of Wales students.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Do not hesitate to ask if you require further evidence to support the above.
Kind regards,

Hollyoaks list
Hey there - I undid one of your edits on the list. I removed the tags again - not because it was you who added them - because I do not think they belong. It could be much worse and most of the entries consist of real world information. Casting, character development and reception - followed by some plot. I think if we have a discussion on the talk page we can decide what needs to go and what can be improved on. I agree with removing the information on Esther as there is no development information there at this time. If you are familiar with me - then you will know I like to keep plot to a minimum and focus more on the real world aspect. Which is obviously how it should be - some on here do not get that. So if you are willing to lend a hand, it would be great to have more help on the list. There is quite a large chuck of character development information to be added to certain characters in the list - but not enough man power to get it done. I do what I can, but there are many articles in the same boat.Rain the 1 00:38, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Penn State
I defended my position and, it seems, won over at least unenthusiastically (cryptically; a little unclear all around; but not too unclear) the primary "opposing" editor. Based on the ed's "OK" I reversed the ed's reversion with which you had agreed. By majority vote -- and without any further participation by you -- I feel I was on some solid ground. But I'd understand if you'd like at least to weigh in again. Cheers. Swliv (talk) 00:37, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
/* Alexander Cornell du Houx */ Local issue not encyclopedic
Still learning the ropes here at Misplaced Pages; have commented on the conflict of interest page and Alex Cornell du Houx's Talk page. There is a persistent attempt to focus on a grass roots dispute by editors, which is evidence of bias. I am using my name in good faith and I think fairly here. I do not think the issue fixating on a local tempest in a teapot rises to the level of an encyclopedia; it only discredits and waters down the Misplaced Pages project. Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to BlackBerry (company), without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Misplaced Pages has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hello. It appears that you have moved this article to a new name without gaining consensus first. The company is still listed as Research In Motion Limited (RIMM) on the NASDAQ exchange. Michael Mic Neumann 2013
Discussions are happening at WP:COIN#Michael Mic Neumann and renewed WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Squeezdot. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Burscough may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 ""s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ryan Giggs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Manager (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Prelude to Axanar and no-name actors
Whilst I fully agree with removing no-name actors from that cast list, I'm not sure about removing Alec Peters considering he is basically playing the "hero of the story" (both in Prelude as well as the full-length Axanar film in production right now). It would be like removing an actor playing George Washington from a cast list in a movie focusing on, and around, Washington's exploits in the American War of Independence (sorry, only thing I could come up with quickly) simply because nobody had heard of the actor. While the actor is a no-name, the part he is playing within the short-film (and the upcoming full-length film) is probably the most important compared to the characters played by all the known actors (ie., the character is the reason for the films in the first place). — al-Shimoni (talk) 11:05, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
